  1. Too soon? Too many truly painful Grey Cup losses have taken the sting out of yesterday's loss already. Time to look forward while we cope with the recent disappointment. Who do we keep? Who do we let go? Who do we go after? Someone was going to start this thread at some point.
  2. Legghio also won the punting battle in net yard average.
  3. The Kelly run did it for me. We still had the lead and the Argos were pinned deep and heading against the wind.
  4. When your kicker is forced to punt 8 times, it's not the kicker's fault we lost. As for the punting, the wind definitely seemed to be a factor and we did nothing into the wind with the best running attack in the league.
  5. Game could have gone either way and we lost and I don't have the feeling that we deserved to win either. We'll be back next year. Threepeat would have been pure gravy, but the Bombers sure didn't look like a dynasty today, so it is what it is.
  6. I'm not defending Bell at all - just saying it was considered a good deal at the time. They even committed to broadcasting every game (at which time I remind you there is no footage of Matt Dunigan's record game because it wasn't carried by anyone!). I'm all for someone outbidding them and providing a better product when this deal expires.
  7. If memory serves, the TSN deal was considered pretty rich when it was agreed upon. The problem is that TSN/Bell have done the bare minimum to fulfill it.
  8. He seems like a good guy, but good doesn't always equal loyal. He lost almost half a season in his first year as a starter. You gotta get paid as much as you can as soon as you can because the football gods aren't always kind.
  9. And then punch the camera that's shooting him on the bench. I'd take Oakman as a DT with our group if the price was right.
  10. Anybody who doesn't think the Bombers didn't get a few breaks and "Bomber Bounces" over the last 2 years hasn't been paying attention. Pretty hard to win a championship without some luck going your way. (2019 Grey Cup excepted - that was an ass-kicking).
  11. I like that score, Oliveira as MOC and Brandon Banks crying is a given. I'm gonna go MOP Ellingson. Legghio might challenge for MOC. I've got a feeling either Rose or Laurence will get at least 2 picks.
  12. Bailey also brings that hatefulness/intensity on the field that I thought we might lose when Darvin left. He seems to have enough for 2.
  13. Thought Ellingson was going to star last week. I think this Sunday is his day.
  14. From this morning's Free Press: When the Bombers landed in Regina on Tuesday, receiver Drew Wolitarsky stepped off the airplane with his guitar case. “Yeah, I play at night just as a way to relax and tone down the day. I’ve been trying to get with (safety Brandon Alexander) and do some stuff, but the schedule’s been tight,” Wolitarsky said. Alexander is an ideal duet partner as he released his own rap album last year. Which teammate would be Wolitarsky’s last choice? “(Offensive lineman) Geoff Gray. I don’t think he knows one song. I asked him this morning ‘A million dollars if you can answer this, which band sings We Are the Champions?’ He had no clue.” jeff.hamilton@freepress.mb.ca
  15. You know what would be awesome? If a mod stripped all the Rourke contract talk out of this thread, put it in it's own thread, triple-locked it and then made it invisible. That would be awesome.
  16. None of the quotes in the 3Down nation stated Zach would start. Walters only said he would play in a direct quote and O'Shea (paraphrased) said he would play.
  17. I got distracted while making a list. Bob Irving is Santa Claus's non-Christmas job. He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when your ankle breaks...
  18. I seem to remember reading that one of his coaches (who also coached Jeff Garcia) saying that Rourke was better at this stage of their careers.
  19. A kick in the ass and a map of Wascana Park
