  1. I can think of the BC game a few years ago, yes he was good, but the great ones find a way to win right?
  2. The biggest concern I have moving forward is can Nichols win the big game? Its fine and dandy to light up garbage teams in week 5 but when has he performed the same way in big games? Banjo bowl meltdown, zero playoff wins other than a performance to forget in barely eeking out the win in sask last year against a backup QB, and now last nights first place showdown shitshow. Im really starting to wonder if he has the mental toughness to block out all the distractions and just perform. This to me is a huge concern.
  3. Just a great man. Rain or shine he always had time for anybody that wanted to chat him up. And always with a kind word and smile on his face. Just a great man.
  4. That's his own fault. All about the money.
  5. How the hell did that clown MBT carve us up for nearly 400 yards??
  6. Enjoyable post but things could have easily got out of hand at the burrito joint/dance club. Glad it didn't and lets move on. I would very much like to see Matthews make a difference on the field as opposed to the police scanner.
  7. Really? I would think the brawl was a huge issue for the team. Best start in nearly 60 years, im sure the team wants ZERO distractions and bull**** going on. Not great publicity for a team trying to attract fans. What if Matthews' punch lands just right, the guy smashes his head on the floor and dies? Its happened, just saying. Youre a professional athlete. Make better decisions.
  8. It doesn't? Your comparing a guy who put up an MVP defensive season last year for us to a guy who has been hurt twice and in a club brawl??
  9. Biggie isn't throwing punches in clubs either
  10. In that case team is doing him a solid, cause he sure hasn't earned it.
  11. If he didn't make the trip why even put him on the active roster???
  12. Eric Rogers
  13. Speaking of dye, how has he not changed his hair color to blue yet?? Or even better, blue & gold!
  14. Yup, genius Hervey decided he'll just load up on offense and let Reilly throw the ball 50 times a game. Unfortunately Reilly and his 50/50 balls dont work when youre getting 2 steamboats.
  15. Well, probably not the way Chris envisioned the season going when he signed back in May....
  16. Yeah, according to the unwashed masses to the left every team gets up for and brings their A game when they play the Riders. Those games mean more than the others. I can only imagine its because every player desperately wants to play for the Riders so they want to showcase themselves for a potential trade or signing down the road. Makes sense.
  17. Question is, do you mess with the o-line and take somebody out when Neufeld is healthy? They've been outstanding.
  18. Rod Pedersen can eat my ****. Too strong?
  19. By the way, did anyone see him on the sidelines last game? I was trying to spot him at the game and couldn't.
  20. Yikes if that's true. What a fall. He comes in heralded as the veteran star receiver weve longed for, who's sole purpose in returning here is to win a championship where it all started. Then he's injured to start the season. Then he plays and doesn't do much. Then he's hurt again. Then he's healthy scratched. Now this. Wow. Might be time to part ways. Lawler looks like the real deal and we don't need distractions.
  21. I don't think its unfair at all. He isnt a gun slinger. He is comfortable when the game is close and he doesn't have to force the ball downfield. He is much more effective in those types of games as opposed to when the clock is ticking and the team is down big. That's not his game and that is when he is turnover prone. This team is perfectly suited for his skill set. Im sure he could rally a team down multiple scores but historically that's when bad Matt makes an appearance.
  22. Its been the perfect scenario for Nichols this year and full marks to him. He's a proven winner when he's got a solid team around him and he doesn't have to force things. He can let the game come to him. He'll never be Tom Brady and rally his team down 25 at the half, throwing for 450 yards to steal victory from the jaws of defeat, but that's ok. Im convinced this team can win it all with him at the helm and that's all that matters.
