bustamente reacted to rebusrankin in Restaurant/food threadIts sad to see. Chains are often mediocre and non chains are often excellent.

bustamente got a reaction from Noeller in Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread2 moves and the o line is instantly better, Kolankowski out, Broxton in

And 2 moves to the d line. Thomas out and Ceresna in.
Both lines will be vastly improved. If you subscribe to the notion that teams are only as good as their lines, you're loving this.
Receivers vastly improved with Tim White and Tommy Nield
Running back status quo (great)
QB. Zach is Zach. He will likely thrive with the overall talent built around him. But it might be nice to get a good backup.
Linebackers status quo (should be fine but obviously would be nice to be better)
DBs should be just as good if not better with Moxey
Special teams we are status quo (good)
It should be a great year.

bustamente got a reaction from rebusrankin in Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion ThreadAn improved D line will do wonders for the defense and their ability for the linebackers helping with the run and db's covering receivers.

bustamente reacted to Brandon in The 2026 Grim Reaper ThreadAs a Canadian it is almost a requirement to watch classic SCTV sketches. She was great in them.
She was fantastic in Schitts Creek and I assume her biggest role were the Home Alone movies.
What's crazy is that I saw on social media last week the clip of her in the John Candy documentary talking about having dreams of John and asking him why he had to leave so early. I guess she finally can see her friend again.

bustamente reacted to Noeller in The 2026 Grim Reaper ThreadI'm not a Schitts Creek person at all, but she's an absolute icon of Canadiana. SCTV and Home Alone are what I associate her with most. Jeeze... 71 is just WAY too young unless there's some kinda underlying illness, but she's been really active with The Studio, and it sure didn't seem like she was having any issues.

White/Demski/Pokey is a nice trio.

Signing a guy with 4 consecutive 1000 yard seasons and who has remained healthy. Yup terrible signing!
His receptions to targets was better then Kenny Lawler and nearly the same as KeeSean Johnson.

bustamente reacted to bigg jay in The Fight ThreadAs long as people are cutting weight, there's not going to be a perfect solution & incidents like this will still happen if someone cuts too much weight. there are pro's & cons to it either way - one disadvantage of moving it to same day is that it doesn't eliminate risky weight cuts, it just give less time to recover. Like that guy could just as easily have face planted tomorrow with after a weight cut that clearly went poorly. The advantage is that same day's won't allow fighters to put so much weight back on so maybe they don't cut as much in the first place and force guys to fight closer to their natural weight.
Some organizations/commissions have restrictions on how much the fighters can weigh much farther out than the UFC does. The WBC’s current guidelines advise that a boxer should not be any more than 10 per cent over the division limit within 30 days of the bout, five per cent within 14 days and three per cent within seven days. The WBC is currently studying if a switch to same day weigh-ins makes sense so we'll see what happens.
