  1. Ross has some really nice accuracy. Love seeing that level of ball location. Throwing guys open, hitting the perfect spot for each pass, protecting wrs and the ball, especially how he consistently hits his man in stride and leaves running with out a hitch. Looks to have above average athleticism, but still has strong pocket presence. Not the strongest arm but looks able to reach back for enough for the deep pass. Undersized by modern nfl standards, small school big production spread offense less then great arm sounds like every qb already in the cfl lol. http://www.goccusports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/alex_ross_758791.html
  2. killer reference. I loved that mini series.
  3. Id a taken a 50 some thing greg battle over hurl last year.
  4. sure is an odd one. You look at his measurable and think wrecking ball. Then watch him play and its a whole other thing. He runs upright, even in short yardage plays. Doesnt show elite break away speed, but at the same time with running up right hes in 3rd gear by the time any contact comes and runs through arm tackles. Pretty balanced sped wise. Not crazy speed but good speed. Doesnt have elite quicks but has the ability to make people miss. A little bit of quicks and running with a little bit of power can make for a whole lot of yards. Shows good vision with cut back lanes and recognizing the hole and punches through some really tight gaps. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/cierre-wood?id=2540209 http://www.und.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/cierre_wood_460498.html Gonna be another great battle in camp. Last year we had some crazy talent and depth at RB too. Itll be entertaining but cracking the roster is about as hard at rb as it gets for us.
  5. - ni depth. bombers arent gonna draft a tail back with their first round pick.
  6. its a beautiful city too.
  7. in the cfl I dont think so. I think a lot of teams weigh BPA with needs and positions of depth. Though its possible no team is ever close to the same page over all, I think after the top tier of talent it gets wide open. So the difference between BPA and a player a team likes better or fills the roster better is a big factor.
  8. compared to life no doubt it was trivial. His life is gone and the others is little more then over as well.
  9. I predict a bunch of balls will drop. but mostly because its football season again! I also predict we will field a 4th passer for mini camp. A bison or rifle qb? perhaps the acadia rifle bob cameron? probably too busy renoing houses. Some one new? possibly but doubtful. Buck pierce? who knows. But I dont think we will roll through mini camp with 3 arms. Deeper into my crystal ball i see over all every one having a solid mini camp. But that the fastest wrs will shine the most.
  10. Faith ekakitie had some scary situation with the cops and looking like a person they were after. Some of these guys get up here and fall in love with the way of life.
  11. Good size db too. Love guys that wrap n tackle, especially ones that attack the ball.
  12. Wouldnt think so but possibility young ni qbs are the hardest to get up here if they have nfl size imo. Im hoping its for flowers.
  13. One thing is for sure, we dont waste time on fresh qb prospects. I would imagine this move was made for one of two reasons. 1) we have other better prospects available or who we are confident will be available for camp Perhaps quinton flowers or 2) Maybe he was pricy and we are gonna go with a cheaper depth qb. Bryan bennett still with the riders? A fascinating story about earl wolff. https://www.si.com/mmqb/2016/08/09/nfl-jacksonville-jaguars-earl-wolff-tale-of-survival-armed-robbery-kidnapping http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/earl-wolff?id=2539966 Monster testing numbers. 4.4 40 11'2 broad jump 39" vert 4.07 shuttle two way player in HS who ran for over 1k yards. He sounds like a guy who kind of aged out of the nfl. Looks like some great tackling. Could have the flexibility to play S, sam or db up here. Very interesting pick up, gonna be a heck of a camp to watch this year.
  14. imo mo was hands down a better saftey as well. Very different players though. Football is football, you cant hide injury prone guys any place. (but kicker) Loffler already plays in the box or on the edge of the box like in a 4-6. I dont think we see the swap happen. I dont think they even look at it. In that case mo coming back from a serious injury with a real question mark also has to adjust back to S, loffler has to adjust to wil and JSK has to adjust to MLB. its a continuity nightmare and if one guy cant make the adjustment every thing falls apart.
  15. wasnt mo the same as S before he moved to sam? he may have been more under rated but no doubt he was as valuable at S if not more. Sam is a harder position to fill though, and S harder then wil.
  16. Its kind of the larger end of the current generation of MLBers. Its possible to have the mobility to make it work much heavier. In the nfl he was listed alot in the 235 range as well. The strength and explosiveness in his testing is very impressive. Atm i think jsk is a lock to start at either mlb or wlb. I feel like wild needs to stay healthy and re find his former groove. 6'5 280? o; did you look at the right guy? It sounded like he came in as a RB to rutgers. also his personal web site is inspiring as heck. It drives me mad to see guys in the front 7 get into the back field, get a hand on the qb then get spun around or shrugged off by the qb. Riley is a big qb for the cfl. But mostly a Lber or DE is gonna have a giant advantage in strength and size. So I love seeing a guy who flies around and lays the wood to any one in their path. Guys like loffler, play with that edge that elevates the entire defense. Run around like some mad dogs and have some fun.
  17. we have like 7 lbers and I feel like we carry that or more each game on the active roster might be more to come after mini camp or maybe we will draft some new blood as well. Im not holding my breath on loffler at wil though that could be amazing. All that matters is no hurl.
  18. https://www.app.com/story/sports/college/rutgers/2016/03/09/rutgers-football-pro-day-results-quentin-gause-shines/81550054/ https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/quentin-gause-1.html Mostly good testing numbers, sounds like a strong, explosive athlete with tons of up side. Upside and high character, thats the bombers to profile to a T. 26 TFL and 122 solo tackles / 190 combined over 3 years. Exciting quality prospect at our biggest position of need. Hope he brings it in camp.
  19. Yeah with bc now, was with hamilton last year broke out with the riders after starting with us.
  20. ricky collins. year before last iirc.
  21. In the last 10 years it seems like half the league has gotten new stadiums. Hopefully in less then 10 more year every one will be playing in high quality digs.
  22. By hard, "cant miss" standards id say mike sims walker. He missed, but by injury retirement. The level of skill he had as a wr coming into the league was off the charts. From what little he showed id still take a flyer on that guy if he was healthy. He was that good. Other wise Id probably say chris givens. But wr is a hard position to be cant miss at. And football is a hard sport to be cant miss at. Some positions, like Lber (mlb/will) and Rb are easier to perform at but even then nothing is a guarantee. The volume of high potential guys we have in camp at every position soo heavily dwarf the likes of the taman era and the modern era as a whole. That is why we dont so much see one guy who cant miss. the competition is better and higher. Virtually any player on the team could be beat out of their position.
  23. That makes sense. the punches always seemed kinda poor quality to me, that or like they legit snuck a punch in. but then its gotta be really hard to fake a punch like that.
  24. think thats very rare these days, its when a guy comes back from the nfl or finally comes up from the nfl like brown or westerman. Ultra high potential guys with great skills/athletic ability/ high end experience/success sure. But general level of talent that comes up now compared to what used to is what makes the cant miss guys very rare. I think cant miss guys who havent played meaningful snaps of pro football are the rarest commodity. We see less of that and less of the TCF guys and more an across the board high level of talent. The closest thing we could see to a cant miss guy is geoff gray.
  25. For the first time in a gazillion years i watched a bit of wrasslin. Watch the highlights then most of the RR match. Is it messed up that RRs punches looked dramatically better then HHHs? maybe im crazy or just not knowledgeable when it comes to wrestling, but she seemed to toss em pretty good in general. HHH seemingly annoyed and mildly ego bruised by her onslaught was pretty good too. It seemed like her flurry against wifey was getting a bit meh, then that body shot lol. again maybe she did some trickery but that last body shot seemed pretty solid.
