iirc durant fell a bunch because of being a head case. Which is the last thing this team wants. waud i think was pretty high percentile to go to the nfl for atleast a bit too. didnt we pass on durant twice? this is what i thought yeah. -
Yeah just saw this. The fact hes going up for a super fight when he could have had woodley is the last nail in the coffin of i dont think he can make lw. I like gsp and all. But man this is another zero integrity cash grab fight. I hate it. Especially with gsps lay off, and having not fought at this weight before going straight into a title match is BS. He will probably have a couple gym heater matches to tune up but still. Idk what would be worse. GSP winning and either being stripped of that belt, or having to defend it. Or bisping beating gsp. The match making is getting harder and harder to stomach in the ufc.

its typical back up hype logic. He hasnt failed yet, so he isnt a failure. He isnt a failure so hes a success in progress. This has got to be his make or break year. Back in the day with far less high end NI talent we managed guys like jaimie stoddard and markus howell. even guys like geoff drover. All of whom make the likes of jade and richards seem sad. -
Then you have special teamers and back ups that the team hopes never has to play.
-
dropping the number of NIs starting/ on the roster just hurts long term development of NIs. Less starting spots/spots less in the league, less spots for college kids, less draw from young kids at the grass roots level. Just when we are finally getting a fertile NI draft too. Its the canadian football league, thats why. Why not just adopt all american rules, field, players etc. The cfl is a cultural institution. Its heritage. Its not money-centric like the nfl. Its not a league you tune into the championship game to watch the commercials and half time show for. Severing those ties to a hundred years of tradition and becoming a poor mans nfl is a good way to kill off the league. Cus if you are just gonna be the nfl light, why not just watch the nfl.

That or look to snipe some one who falls in the draft nfl interest aside.

The rumor was that the bengals wanted simonise back in camp this year. With his size and speed its hard to imagine him not in an nfl camp. Bilikudi retired from football. Mulumba just signed a futures deal with the chiefs. -

brock wasnt at all one of those guys. He was a physical specimen that dabbled in every thing. Skipped ball in the ncaa all together and only came back around to it. But after being the last cut just gave up on football. -

Simonise has better measurables. Vandervoort has more experience at a higher level, better hands. -

Id really like gray, but I feel like with our starting 5 + couture is pretty locked in. I like intzandt as a developmental guy too. Id love to see ankou and butcher together. That could be a real future twin towers esq combo up the middle for us. Id much rather have simonise then vandervoort. But similar to ankou I dont think either will be in the cfl this year. Vandervoort im sure will be. Nah fantuz had a real pro body coming out. When jade was picked he had the build of a 14 year old girl. -

hope its better then rod rust 2.0 But yeah great pick up. Our ol is in great shape any way you cut it. Wow great for him. Good thing he doesnt have to fall back on that doctor money.... -
Didnt work out here with euclid. Dont wish him ill by any stretch. Id rather have bryant turner back then him though. And rather move on then have either back.

esks pick up euclid cummings. http://www.cfl.ca/2017/02/27/esks-add-defensive-tackle-euclid-cummings/ -
and stafford. but you are confusing a vocal minority with the majority.
-
Dont expect davis to take no2. Dont expect flanders to DI back up either. We saw how little he is used in that situation. Smith and stafford over denmark? SMH. Smith and knox are going to battle for the starting MLB spot, but the loser will be on for teams atleast.

Yeah hes probably pretty close too. -
wow that ref LOL. Braidwood looked a lot better then most football players turned fighters good for him. A guy with his size sporting background and good boxing skills I wonder if he is gonna try mma at some point. Id rather watch some one like him fight at a sub ufc level event then punk. Woodley wonderboy 2, ferguson nurmy, Hunt and reem this next card gonna actually be worth paying for on paper. A nice change of pace from the junk weve been getting from ppvs.

that after being the class of the league for like 10+ years.... Only one way a GMs tenure ends. (unless named buono) -
In this case it might have to do with him spending as much time if not more coming out of lber as de... It doesnt happen as much on offense because on offense guys slide around through out the game.
-
the 26 pounds or less isnt what will make the difference. Look at how much linemen mash and play 4 quarters. especially ends vs tackles 50+ pounds heavier. KD williams was 250, tuipala etc guys like barrin simpson and ryland wickman were short 240 ish and less mobile. Jabar westerman has played end at 280 pounds, etc. The tweener position down south is one of the biggest spots for athletic freaks. Guys who run like wrs/dbs, are strong like line men, and crazy levels of quickness. In great frames no less. The amount of mobility required to play the end in the canadian game is crazy. The ability to switch to mlb would largely depend on willingness to learn, natural ability to scrape the ball, and ability to read pre snap and adjust post snap. Playing as a 3-4 hybrid pass rusher down south is very, very similar to what khalil bass struggled to do here last year. If our vet ends bring it in camp, and especially with corney to rotate its gonna be hard to make the roster as a 4th de and an imp. So if hes a great talent a position change could be very well suited to keeping him around.

hey now it isnt nice to pick on people on old age pension... -
with his athletic ability i was thinking he could make it even at 253. What his optimal weight would be for mlb we obviously cant know but if he can move well enough to play de at that range and mlb he would be super versatile and allow us to rotate ends, use the hurl package for another imp db etc.
-
sweet christmas thats a stud rush end prospect. Not many rush ends play basketball and track at a good level. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/jackson-jeffcoat?id=2543660 The difference is we dont go in projecting a guy like him to start. He has to come in and take some ones job. But yeah big school high upside kids like him are real boom or bust.
-
Thats true, but that probably has more to do with coaching.
-
I agree with you on smith being better then what we lost. Im not sold on knox yet. We are crazy deep at LBer, and its pretty plug n play recruiting. Especially mlb.
