  1. Oh right he was the di a couple times too. I think it was 1 or 2 starts ya? I really like the guy and hope he pans out.
  2. Houston only got in for like one game didn’t he?
  3. The worst qb in the league for deep balls is he also the least clutch?
  4. Honestly 3 man pressure is under rated too. If you have some one who can rush from the inside a lot of ols struggle more with 3 man pressure than 4 or 5. You have to communicate and switch really well. With layering rush lanes you’re less likely to get really long pockets. You don’t generally get that chance at really fast pressure but it makes long tosses harder. It also makes contain easier with out sacrificing pass rush. faj doesn’t pick up drops well. If you don’t let him scramble and hit those short timing passes at the seam he beats him self. I think jones has taken this from the bombers the last few years. We didn’t do it every snap but we dominated him with this look.
  5. No pre season last year though. This year while teams have a lot of work to do no exceptions, the games have been really entertaining this far. If things only get better this is going to be a fantastic season.
  6. I’m glad we don’t have any dummy hunters on this team. a lot of stupid trash talk this week. From owners to players just putting their foot in their mouth. Meanwhile the back to back champs are un happy with their performances despite being in beaten. It’s not hard to see why Hamilton can’t win the big games why mtl is back sliding into a dumpster fire and the elk are the core of said fire.
  7. Ultimate sign of a loser. Act like you’ve won with lots of game left to play. ott is on the fringe of becoming a really good team. The typical sign of a bad team on the fringe of becoming a good team is losing close games despite playing well enough to win. The step that differentiates a good bad team from a great team is discipline. Disciplined teams find ways to win games. That’s why we beat sask and ham both back to back to go back to back.
  8. Luck is the residue of hard work. Some pretty good nfl coach
  9. I’d rather a guy hold 10 times out of 10 then let his man past and rail road collaros. A hold when you’re beat is pretty much a good penalty to take. that said gray is not a ground mover. He’s a very good ol with a bright future but imo he’s a rt. Not ideal as a guard. I worry if kola has to start I hope his snapping is consistent. We haven’t had issues at c in a long time. We need Dobson on the active roster imo. Our short yardage package has really struggled to get any push this year. Nealon greene 2.0 just with more hype.
  10. And he’s a serious energy guy. He sets a high tone every game. im super happy he’s back. It’ll be interesting to see how the roster shakes down now. Mauro was really good and is good on teams too. And so is clements. I hope all three can be on the roster and have wilcotts Come off. But mack had a good game too.
  11. Super impressed with Mauro he played smart disciplined high motor and looked really athletic. the refs blew a bunch of bad blocks to the back on bomber pass rushers who got the edge. Frankly I don’t expect better from the cfl refs any more. Ganging up in gray was kind of bs. The one call they could throw 2 or 3 of those flags on every single play of every game.
  12. Can’t judge much this soon into the season. Especially with messed up tc and pre season. Some one mentioned it and was dead on. Suitor made the best point of his career. This bomber team is comfortable in uncomfortable hard moments in games. That is worth one hell of a lot.
  13. Good call. I commented in the gdt that winning home and away series is hard. Ott is good and young and great in home openers. The bombers have a mountain of obstacles from camp to pre season to injuries and departures. But they won hard close games with out coming close to firing on all cylinders. this is the time of game we used to lose to teams like Calgary. It was infuriating as a fan. big props to mos for the win.
  14. Also worth remembering is while the bombers have looked rusty as hell and with poor offensive game plan and all this and that we just swept a home and away series in back to back weeks. That’s extremely hard to do especially to start the year and especially for a resurgent strong young rbs team who happen to be extremely good in home openers. Add to that our messed up pre season and tc which gave us very little work for our vets and this week only having one practice messed up by weather and things aren’t soo glib. great teams find ways to win hard close games. That’s what the bombers have done with a mountain of obstacles.
  15. He had three bad drops one for a td two for a first down. He makes one or two or those I think he’s a star other wise nah. Nichols has certainly been our best db by a mile.
  16. He did it a couple times in one game. Both Brady and Augustine had better games doing it more frequently last year. Also it’s a world of difference between first contact coming at the line with a head of momentum and in the back field as you get the ball. Augustine didn’t and hasn’t been able to be consistent. Doesn’t matter what you can do in a few bursts. Especially in our run scheme.
  17. I don’t agree that that’s normal. I’d say one other guy maybe two do that in this league.
  18. They have a big turn around or we are the second worst team in the league. Undisciplined and dirty but very good team.
  19. That’s what I see too. Great rotational change of pace guy. But idk we just don’t have the blocking we had last year and we aren’t stretching the field side line to side line with jet action. Some thing has to give. We can’t play call like we have last years dominant line or Harris behind them. Play call use players lots of options but they gotta pick a direction.
  20. I was thinking about that possibility part way through. Don’t think they will though.
  21. Augustine didn’t have that gear two years ago.
  22. Tell me how good Augustine was at his age. He was tcf at best. 17 touches for 75 yards with out a good gap all night. Just being emotional. Augustine needs more reps and the offense needs an over haul in the play book.
  23. Nope. Not a freaking one.
  24. 1 kyrie and biggie 10 tackles 1 sack soo many big tackles 2 jeffcoat and sayles much more pressure than last week 3 the rbs tough running day combined over 100 total yards hh schoens td catch. honorable mention to auclair for steam rolling legs to seal the deal.
