  1. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/ohs-cargill-inspection-high-river-covid-outbreak-death-meat-processing-1.5539263 OSH inspection by video call...? Unreal.
  2. You're projecting, piggy. Pseudoscience and conspiracy theory from sources that are proven to be unreliable, inaccurate trash is not science. And purporting either on here to peddle your "I'm more woke than others" narrative while getting defensive clearly shows who's insecure in his lack of intelligence. I'd apologize for hurting your delicate sensitivities but **** it. Your actions made it clear long ago you're not here to have productive discussion; you just enjoy the discord created by the garbage you post in this sub-forum.
  3. The pseudoscience garbage from No Tricks Zone, The Gateway Pundit, and other conspiracy pages run by troglodytes does nothing but hinder this thread and others in this sub-forum, not to mention demonstrate the lengths to which the Dunning-Kruger Effect has annihilated your ability to think critically or objectively.
  4. F for effort. As per usual. Pathetic.
  5. You should probably vet your sources better in the future. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-gateway-pundit/ There's zero need to see yet another thread devolve with the woke brigade posting sketchy information, conspiracy theory, and hyperbole from highly questionable sources. There's already enough of that in other threads in this sub-forum. Be part of the solution here, not the problem.
  6. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/why-the-oil-market-just-crashed-below-0-a-barrel-4-things-investors-need-to-know-2020-04-20 2020 just keeps on swinging...
  7. Likely closer to two years by the time hockey resumes. And closer to, if not 36 years old. Wild fans are nauseating. They think every Minnesota born NHLer wants to play there... It's like a Leafs homer and a Rider Prider had offspring and they wound up in the self-proclaimed "State of Hockey." I'd put money down on Byfuglien being done with hockey for good. I think he just wants to enjoy his life, his family, and his sweet fishing boat.
  8. Simon was absolutely one of the best ever, but Stegall in his prime was still better, IMO. His on-field awareness, his superb route running, his buttery smooth hands, his attention to detail, and his ability to elude and confuse defenders were all second to none. To me, he embodied the prototypical receiver meant for the CFL game and field.
  9. I know what you said. I replied with "entertainment such as sports," meaning not just sports. I still fail to see how a live event of any kind with no people in attendance would instill hope to an audience watching said event from their homes. Your anecdote is appreciated but I still don't see the logic behind what you've stated. A lot of other things have to happen before live entertainment, be it sports, concerts, or otherwise, will return.
  10. Can't say I understand the logic there. How is entertainment such as live sport essential? And how would watching such an event on a TV screen in one's home bring a sense of normalcy? I'd be hard-pressed to see a gov't at any level try and rationalize such a decision.
  11. All non-essential travel has been effectively halted at the Canada-US border until further. What sort of exception could be made for athletes, especially in light of the situation in the US right now? And from an optics standpoint, I doubt such an act would reflect well as Canadians continue to lose their jobs. And that's somewhat of a false equivalency. Seasonal farm workers' provide an essential service by way of providing commodities for the food supply chain. Athletes provide no such essential good or service.
  12. FTFY. Waving a Confederate flag out of pride makes about as much sense as waving a Nazi flag for a similar reason. And both are equally idiotic.
  13. Stegall is the greatest CFL receiver of all time. Full stop. Pitts and Simon can fight over second place.
  14. And then we have this idiot.
  15. It'll be interesting to see what happens to these clowns in a couple of weeks. Michigan and Ohio are probably in for a bad time.

  17. I agree. And in this instance, China chose not to do its part. It'd be great if WHO officials were able to go kick down doors and get the right and accurate information from shadier regimes but I don't think that's the case. The WHO is no doubt without controversy but I'm quite sure it doesn't have some blanket authority to do whatever it wants vis a vis its mandate.
  18. There is so much blame to go around the globe over this pandemic but China no doubt shares the brunt of it. I'm not sure what the WHO could've done differently in dealing with such a secretive and reticent gov't regime there. What authority does the WHO even have in trying to get information from countries, anyway? https://apnews.com/68a9e1b91de4ffc166acd6012d82c2f9 This doesn't excuse the lack of action by other countries but the buck ultimately stops with the Chinese gov't.
  19. In Lindsey Graham's defense, though... he's an idiot.
  20. My aunt and uncle live out that way down Blue Lake Rd., too. It's sparsely populated for the majority of the year but the spring, summer, and fall months see a major jump due to cottagers, campers, anglers, hunters, etc. The "orders" for residents in NW Ontario are the same as elsewhere: stay home as much as possible, distance yourself from others, and adhere to good hygiene habits. Keep in mind the only hospitals nearby are in Dryden and Kenora, so I can understand the concern with all the hype re: seasonal resident booting it out that way in light of what's going on. Overloading the system in such a relatively remote region could be problematic. FWIW, I don't think provincial borders will be closed or domestic travel bans implemented but I do think people need to be careful in the event they head out to the cabin.
  21. The same libertarian wannabe ******* who labelled experts like Fauci fearmongers in mid-March: http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/featured-articles/2020/march/16/the-coronavirus-hoax/ Ron Paul can ingest a satchel of Richards.
  22. Fantastic hyperbole. I guess that's Ron Paul's last ditch attempt to remain relevant anymore - fear-monger. It's not like he has anything else worth bringing to the table.
  23. Interesting take: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-ceo-who-built-cisco-into-a-powerhouse-has-a-sobering-coronavirus-diagnosis-at-least-nine-months-of-economic-pain-2020-04-07 It's a bit mind-boggling how much debt we carry collectively as a society. And it's painful to think how much worse the situation could be with a deadlier pathogen running amok.
