Would love to have Henoc back. All players are mercenaries, no use in pretending otherwise.
I know nothing about agenting or managing a football team, but I wonder if he's waiting to be a midseason desperation signing.
Well he'd only get paid half a season's worth of that contract- or whatever reduced percentage of games he actually plays so I don't think that's his plan at all.

Why is it that there is a belief that players can just automatically transition from playing and become pro coaches?
I don't necessarily disagree but I think any good employee in any job should be able to train others to do so as well. By the time a guy reaches pro he has many years and many coaching styles to make use of to teach the next generation, besides DB coach isn't exactly the top of the coaching tree. Going coordinator or HC is a whole different story I think.

Any reason on why he is leaving?
Maybe the Douchey new GM is looking for a new babysitter

... if a third of the top picks leave for the NFL then why bother having one? All they become are wasted picks. Mulamba was a wasted pick. Four years & he may never come here. I still say open the draft to all players regardless of nationality. The ratio can stay the same but can the Neg Lists.
So you believe that opening the Canadian draft to include American's will mean less draft picks lost to the NFL?

Of course you can say he's a bad coach when he loses twice as many games as he wins. What other criteria would you use for a bad coach?
What opinion does that create for Rick Campbell as a Head Coach?

The fact that an Etcheverry scheme couldn't fit a player like Bass in says a lot about Etch.
Then again ... how did Ottawa, Saskatchewan and Edmonton all pass on this guy too?
Some guys play great but practice average (Bass), some practice great but play poorly (Dropsome Collins)

They can't walk - they're under contract.
Has it been said they took pay cuts? Or is Popp re-structuring things Taman style by deferring a bunch of salary?
I hope they didn't agree to a lower salary with a bonus to be paid next Feb

Chick signs in HAM for 160. Meanwhile it's still not Jones' fault for failing to get a deal done with Chick and Dressler.
Isn't that less than the Regina team is paying Shawn Lemon?

Jones is discarding what he believes are overpriced players and has confidence in his abilities and Murphy's abilities to actually go out and find players. Popp, Barker, Murhpy, Tillman and Paul Jones have all demonstrated the ability to find players the key to any team's success.
Perhaps you need to be reminded that Tillman traded the best deep passer in the league for the worst then for good measure traded a first round pick for Brody McKnight among other brilliant moves. You're reading way too much Riderfan propaganda if you believe Tillman has any usable skills.

Well you can't force a guy to sign, but this is becoming all too common place for the Bombers. If Dressler goes elsewhere it's time for Wade to address what the F the problem is and why they can't land upper echelon players.
So do you think Taman did it right when he signed Dressler at $240K and should therefore be considered a logical replacement for Walters if he fails to land each/every free agent deemed upper echelon? I can't agree with that.

Are you sure about this? That sounds wrong.

6. Reilly/Crompton - competitors that find a way to win
Holy cow, so if Crompton and Reilly were both available you'd sign whoever was cheaper? Is that you Eric Tillman?

I guess the FA issue really only becomes relevant if players are deciding between Wpg or Sask.
Let's face it only 1 of those teams cares about the salary cap though and Commissioner Porridge doesn't have the brass to stand up to the league's golden goose

First round pick for two seasons seems fair to me.
If by some chance you are serious, what should the Regina team have to give Edmonton for taking their Head coach?
-
What can you point to to say the Eskimos bought that team? When did the SMS start? I've seen people say they bought Grey Cups but no one every seems to provide evidence.
The 80's were a while ago,has anyone ever given an example to support this or is it the usual jealousy turning fiction into fact?
The irony of a Regina fan saying any team "bought cups" is so much larger than the word irony was ever meant to contain.
-
I find it pretty scummy of the regina team trying to poach another team's HC days after the cup win.
I also hoped they'd rehire the babysitter groper so they could remain in the basement where they belong..

Bring some of that Arrogant Bastard if it hit the shelves yet.
Calgary having been long known for over flowing Arrogant Bastards are in fact much less conspicuous after the loss to the Esks
-
Picking Cal. Best franchise from top to bottom in league.
I see you picked Hamilton in the East final, you've got quite a knack.
I'm guessing you you were also shocked that the Regina team didn't go undefeated this season

This, for me is the most troubling aspect of O'Shea's tenure here- his inability to pick talent in both subordinates and players, It seems to even his in/ability to turf or bench people when it it clear that they are not good enough or a poor fit. I fear that we are in for of the same in 2016.
Has he released anyone that turned out to be a star when another team picked them up?
Who should be benched in favour of whom?
Is the poor quality of player's and coach's (your assessment) O'shea's fault?

or just hand it to Rick Campbell now.... now does he not win this award!?
Well, Jones is HC and DC and had the best record in the league while missing his top QB for half the year, his top RB for the whole year, etc.,..... that may be how.

Charlie Taaffe ( I know it would never happen)
What about Pete Costanza from Calgary?
Would rather hire George Costanza.
Forget that, I'd rather have the only person to score 4 touchdowns in a single game for Polk high.
I'm too busy with my new Colombian wife Gloria
