  1. not all Rider Fans that post there are as you describe - there are are a few like that on every site - including this one!
  2. According to the Riders site - it is a two year deal at $450K per year. Not sure what to think about it - however the Riders see him as their future I guess.
  3. Got to tell you my favorite Brock memory - Lived in Dallas at the time but my wife is from the Peg. Came up late fall one year and my in laws took me to the game. First time I had see a CFL wide field. Wow! In any event it was in the first quarter and the bombers had the ball on the right hash mark. Brock dropped back and faded to his right then threw across the field to the left side stripes - must have been 40-50 yrds or so maybe more. I was sitting right in front of the receiver only a few rows up. Don't remember who the receiver was at the time. The ball never was higher than probably 8 ft or so - perfect spiral! the ball hit the receiver with such force it knocked him down. There was no D Back around him! Never ever saw an arm like Brock had never will again!
  4. well in that case we are definitely getting what we deserve! Cause we are not a "winner" by any stretch. And if average or mediocre meets your expectation that good for you. As long as MOS is around you will be a happy camper cause that is what you will get with him running the show.
  5. Same here - I have 4 season tickets (business related) and finally get to keep one. We are in section F row 55 - where are you sitting? Not sure who got the other 3 tickets as most of my sales guys are in Turkey for a OEM session. I choose to stay in good of Calgary and send them!
  6. I would be in favor or MOS staying but only if both Hall and Lapo hit the road. If we have the gang of 3 back next year I would expect more of the same. Winning season but no joy in the playoffs. Might not even be a discussion as no one knows if MOS will want to move on etc. It will be an interesting off season that's for sure.
  7. yeah not sure what the Vegas odds would be on that one but they would be significant. As for me I see us one and done in the playoffs and then the house cleaning starts! Where it starts is anyone's guess but I think O'Shea will be gone first however who really knows.
  8. Let me answer that one! Yes you are asking for too much!
  9. You're a hoot - Anyone that disagrees with your view point is a Troll! Guess what! The Bombers have a ton of issues and avoiding discussions on them will not make them go away. Not that anything we say makes all that much difference in any event but folks that have opinions that differ than yours are not trolls at least IMHO.
  10. I refuse to answer that question on the grounds it might incriminate me. I hit the Nam in early 1969 and was in Bangkok early 1970 and it was just sort of starting up although had been in existence for some time. I took an out of country to Sidney (Kings Cross Area) at the end of my second tour. Actually like Sidney a little better.
  11. Fantastic! I took an in-country R&R during my second tour in the Nam. Really enjoyed Bangkok and came back with some new shirts! And nothing else if you get my drift!
  12. Might be a couple of trades in the works and the clubs involved asked for more time?
  13. You could be correct Rios may surprise us!
  14. might be a little closer than that - Sooner or later the Esk's have to put up a good effort - but still a TiCats win.
  15. Sometimes it is very hard to get a message across. I do live in Calgary I do have season tickets to the Stamps games -they are a business write off. I have moved more from a die hard Bomber Fan to more of a casual Bomber Fan. Still watch the games when I can. Still try and get to the Peg once a year if possible and try and catch one game. Happy if/when they win but do not get too down when they don't. I think MOS is an adequate HC - I believe Plop will move on and Richie Hall will be turfed at the end of year. As for most Stamps fans being casual fans might have some truth there. Enjoy the pros and cons here and will always will Still remember freezing my butt off down by the Bay when they had the parade after the 1984 Grey Cup Win!
  16. I am not one that believes the Riders are an inferior team. I think they have made significant improvements over last years team. I believe their DL compares with ours. Their secondary is better at least IMHO. I believe our OL is better and our running game is better. However they have decided edge in their receiving corps. I think we have an edge in Special Teams. I believe this game will prove who they are and who we are. I am just afraid that in a close game - The Richie Hall defense will yet again let us down.
  17. yes but when the things they bring to the table is not eatable then it time to get new coordinators who can bring things to the table that are acceptable. Both have had long enough to accomplish what is required and both have failed IMHO.
  18. There are a number of folks that just like to whistle when they walk by a grave yard - All is good! All is Well! - there on the other hand are those that know things are not good and things are not well and no amount of deflection will change that. Sorry but the facts are the facts.
  19. And all caps to boot. Must mean you are angry or your keyboard locked! My point is that the stamps continue to bring in folks - whether they help this year or not whether they are any better than what they have is a moot point. They continue to bring in folks to evaluate even this late in the season. Means they are always looking where as we just seem to maintain the status quo as long as possible.
  20. looks like Calgary unlike the Bombers is never standing still and always looking for ways to improve the team.
  21. Welllllll! I would not say great - maybe good maybe sort of average. No problems with Walters or even Miller - MOS not sure about as his DC and OC are his responsibility etc. I do believe the talent is there - just not being utilized correctly
  22. Honest Answer - Yes You Must - especially if you follow the Richie Hall Defensive Play Book! See I made this into a football related response.
  23. Maybe if they changed from "Love playing for Mike" to "Love Winning for Mike" we might see some improvement. I could care less about the kumbaya love fest in the locker room.
  24. What's with the Apple? Hall does not deserve an Apple nor road map. I would take him to the bus station and point him in any direction away from the Peg.
  25. Very well said - I tend to agree with all of your comments. I think MOS staying with Richie Hall way way too long may be his demise! I think any thing other that getting to the Western Finals (and that might be a stretch) means MOS and his Hall will exit stage left. 6 years of MOS with nothing more that a so so record may be enough depending on where the team finishes at the end of the year. If they have to go into Regina for the Semi and then make it to the WF in Calgary it is game set and match for MOS IMHO.
