Burke's D thrived on hitting and jamming the receivers 0-15 yards from scrimmage to disrupt passing routes- since the change of no contact on the receiver after 5 yards, I don't think we will see a defense like Swaggerville.

There is one year left in Hall's contract IIRC, let him finish out his contract as implementing a defensive system after the start of the season is not going to fare any better than continuing with Hall. That seems to be MOS' thing, honoring contracts- it may pay dividends in attracting top tier coaches in the future.

Gotta say- I am pretty jelly of the rider's defensive scheme, it's the one area that I think CJ is VERY good at. Not change EVERYTHING, but can lead to a huge impact: I offer you Hurl vs Bighill as an example- he literally makes the entire defense better and to some extent due to turnovers- makes the offense better too, in a round about way.
