  1. Past hour
  2. The worst being the field goal right after
  3. I disagree, I don't think the play calls were bad up until that Strev 2nd and 3rd play. Execution was iffy and the o-line definitely needs 2 new fresh faces since Ottawa was easily able to get into our backfield far to often. Wade needs to yell at O'Shea for going for the field goal. Also for not challenging easy challenges such as those 2 pass interference calls on Allen.
  4. I don't think the Blue were as bad as some people on here were making them out to be... but yikes that last 2 minutes was the worst coaching decisions I've ever seen since Tim Burke had taken a knee and gave up that one game. This game should of been iced on these 3 plays... 1 - Kramdi going for the big hit instead of wrapping up the running back on the 2nd and 15 play in the 4th quarter. Absolutely no need to lay in a big hit when he could of wrapped him and at least slowed him down which easily would of stopped them well short of the first down. 2 - 2nd and 3 and that package with Strev was garbage. Why not just take a knee at that point it was painfully obvious on what the play was. Why are they not running short yardage with Wilson who is much better then Strev? If you have Strev in why not RPO with Brady? What a terrible call. Hogan had called a real good first quarter where he was getting Zach out of the pocket and on the run which was working well. I thought the 3rd quarter and 4th the plays were ok but the o-line was shakey as hell which resulted in those 2 and outs. This 2nd and 3 play was absolute garbage. Suitor was even calling it out. 3 - The field goal. As a fan I demand answers on who called that if it was O'Shea or Hogan. Either way O'Shea should be blistered by the media and I hope Miller or someone tears a strip on him for making that call. Getting cute with less then a minute left playing against Ottawa with a back up QB. An absolute rookie decision and the worst we've made in such a long time that I can't even remember such a bad call. TSN panning to the audience with the "WTF" look of disbelief. I am SHOCKED that beer cans were not tossed at O'Shea after that. Bonus bone headed play - Randolph taking a penalty for rolling on Mauldin. I thought this club was known for being disciplined?
  5. The least physical/strong defender, too. But he form tackles well and does his job. If you get out tackled by that guy as a lber/db, you should feel bad. I'll say too that Jones, Allen, Holm, and Vaval all did solid jobs tackling tonight. Far, far better than the rest. Tony jones will likely get consideration for an all star spot at Lber at this rate.
  6. you jump out to 17 point leads it should be super easy, barely an inconvenience for the offense to score a few more points and kill some time to bring the win home. Instead they fail spectacularly in the 2nd half 2 games in a row and let the other team back into the game because they can't do ****. It's embarassing. Hogan needs to get the **** gone. Maybe he's got a future as an OC, but this team needs to live in the present.
  7. I mean, Big Jake was given an unblocked clear path to the QB 3 times, but he did make the best of it. And I respect his heart for not giving up on that pursuit. Both metaphorically and literally. Brown was in control of that scramble, though, but when Adams was on him, that was running out of fear and survival. Damn, that dude is quick for a DT. Some of the most impressive physical displays on the field tonight, Jake running a marathon, Adams making brown look like Jake Thomas, Schmekel blocking the punt, Vaval closing out Pimpleton for the pkd, Zach running in general, Paddy running 25 yards downfield for a block, Sterns mossing Pickett, Adams and Person one punch move KOs of their OL, and Tony Jones knifing between two blockers, shedding a block and stuffing Stanback for a loss. Honorable mention to Demski for tearing up the RBs' D with YAC, routinely making them look silly. When the list of times you physically manhandle the other team in your 1-on-1 match-up is that long, you should win pretty handily.
  8. Pisses me off everytime I see it. The only one who actually tackles is Holm.
  9. I'll say this: the physicality that Cam Allen brings to the secondary is going to help change that. That kid is just barely scratching the surface of his potential, and he's the best DB find in a good while. He can cover, he can tackle, he can hit, and he can come up to play the run game. I'd love to see Woodbey and Allen draw in, maybe eventually. I wish we could see where allen would be at if he had broken camp on the AR, like he should have.
  10. On the late interception, was it me or did the ball briefly hit Demski's hands before it bounced to the DB who made the pick?
  11. Today
  12. Not sure which is dumber... O'Shea kicking a long FG, or Dyce not going for 2 when it was clearly the only chance that team had to win
  13. If this had been.a loss, in no way could it be blamed on the D. They were gassed, the O needs to stay on the field.
  14. He said on the postgame that "he thought it was PI."
  15. Does nobody on D tackle anymore? All I see are players getting "bumped", hoping they fall down.
  16. Gotta give Thomas some credit for a couple of plays today... chased down Dru Brown and stayed with him on his cut back, and then knocked down a pass on the next drive.
  17. That's what I figured...but upon hearing it I couldn't help thinking, if true, they are certainly getting their money's worth
  18. I’d agree. I mean we went 2 and out for 2 quarters really. D coordinator ain’t much better. Neither is O’Shea if he allows it to continue. 1 call by O’Shea. Honestly he’s prob thinking our O can’t move the ball. So let’s try this. In the end they win 30 27. Ottawa scored 17 points in the 4th with their backup. That’s on the D really. But the O went 2 and out really the entire 2nd half almost.
  19. Everyone seems to forget we started 2-6 last year and had a lot of the same issues we are having now. I’m not overly concerned yet. Defence, special teams, punting, kick coverage etc seems to be improving each game. Offence has its bright moments and then complete head scratchers. Coaching (mostly on offence) seems to still be our biggest concern. But I’d rather them struggle now then in late Sept and October when games mean more. We are 5-4 with the season series over BC. Riders are due for their mid season slump pretty soon. Calgary is beatable. Get some NFL cuts, make some changes on play calling, get a few injured guys back and they will be fine.
  20. Amen! Super Bad Decision by our HC - I guess he will explain it away! While we are discussing coaching issues - how about finding a real OC? Got to be a better one out there than what we have.
  21. So Schmekel is basically a young Jake Thomas.... lot of hustle and effort.
  22. The thing i find crazy with this, is how conservative this 2nd down call is, followed up by the very aggressive FG attempt...
  23. While you’re at it please bring back 2021 🙃
  24. Well how about the head coach deciding to kick a super long field goal just because? That's an egregious decision that he is lucky they got away with. Punt that ball and make Ottawa go the length of the field with little time to try and tie the game.
  25. Refs get paid , pretty good at this level although not as well as NFL. No excuses for shitty calling, they even have pro backup to get it right!
  26. They don't get paid? I fn hope the other job isn't air traffic controller or crossing guard
