  1. Past hour
  2. very un surprising. In general I would take the ball for any thing short of mad weather. But our O in the 3rd is soo bad again this year we might have done better to run or kneel and limit our offensive snaps lol
  3. Every one needs to do better in the coaching staff. Jy has not taken the step forward I had hoped he would after last years brilliant adjustments. That said, with what we are married to on the dl, I don’t think JY could do any thing other than drop every one and hope for the best. We’ve managed to limit tds and red zone better than any one else. but honestly some of that has looked like we’ve been as lucky as good. Now i’ve seen time this year where we have repeatedly failed to get deep enough in the second level and play too far off in the 3rd level. Giving away uncontested first downs on second and long. Being married to tony jones really hurts our pass D. In our scheme we need a guy who can either get deep enough to take away the mid field by first down marker on 2nd and long, or one who can disrupt on a regular basis by pass rushing. And jones is just lost in decision making and seldom deep enough. In the pass rush he’s little more than a guy trying to block a blocker. The Dl is the real heart of the problem as we all know. With two canadians on the field of half the snaps we aren’t gonna disrupt or get pressure. WJ can still make plays, but aside for the precious few games were he turns it on, he’s the worst pass rushing starting de in the league. He’s also one of the worst run stoppers. He needs to be a rotational guy, and even then you gotta keep on him to not coast. Even the rest of Vaughters, woods, lawson and adams don’t have the answers. I like woods, lawson and adams a lot, but neither is the guy who plays the most snaps. Vaughters has been solid mostly, if unspectacular. And is really yet another 3rd guy in an ideal rotation. Imo, DL gives the best value for cap hit in free agency. But it’s also a hit or miss position.
  4. Interesting stat. I've been a diehard Bomber fan for decades. I'm currently on vacation in the Azores but I made the time to listen to this past weekend's game (5 hr difference from Winnipeg) much to my wife's chagrin. But I tuned out after the third quarter because I was so frustrated with their play including the business of not receiving the ball to start the 2nd half. (I think Doug Brown thought the same.). I'll still be there to the end but I lost faith in O'Shea and his rostering and other mind-numbing decisions when he kept that ex-US Navy Seal, Damien Jackson, on the roster for a whole season. What a waste of a roster spot! End of rant. By the way they make some excellent white wines on Pico Island. Cheers. 😊
  5. Oh there are plenty of tools around this offense.... But the biggest tool Zach is missing is his arm. He has shown an unwillingness to change the way he plays, but he doesn't have the arm anymore to be a bombs away guy.
  6. It's called being a realist. If I were to have to put money down on who wins the Grey Cup... I most certainly would lean towards putting that money on the Riders over the Bombers this season. It's not being a "bad fan" , it's called being a realist. Everyone on here "hopes" the Blue can pull off a miracle and win it this season. It's just that based on what they have shown it's highly unlikely. So people are saying what the 2nd best option would be. For myself I say Hamilton because I'd rather that fan base gets to enjoy a Grey Cup win over listening to Rider fans celebrate and be ultra annoying about winning the cup.
  7. banking on this now lol agree with basically all that. One thing, whats worse Jy and the execution on that 3rd and 2, Or hogan and the draw on the last play of the game down by 5?
  8. Highest paid QB showing up 1 out of every 6 games isn’t a recipe for success
  9. I was at the Ham game on the 27th... That was a big ass shot of Hopium....
  10. I don't think the o-line is fully to blame... on those deep balls he has time. It's the arm and decision making that is really hurting his play. If he's going to make random decisions and just toss "bombs" in hopes of the receiver making a play... I'd much rather we had kept Dolegala because at least he is healthy and has a strong enough arm so that the receiver "can" make a play for the ball. Their is a reason why noodle arm Nichols was doing short passes at the end... he knew his limitations and tried the best with what he could do. Zach is just ... yikes. His arm is not as shot as Nichols was... but it's definitely not strong enough for him to make those bombs. It would have been real nice to have given Wilson some game time this season to see if he has what it takes to play. Next season... try to make a play for Kelly or bring in a guy like MBT as a stop gap until we find a long term solution. Zach at 600+ next season is going to really hurt this team.
  11. CFL in conjunction with Bell (TSN) in conjunction with record labels....
  12. He's a merciful OShea!
  13. This kind of mentality is exactly what caused the mess we’re in right now. What kind of hopium are you huffing that makes you think Zach can get it done? Just watch him. His arm is toast. The majority of his throws are either hospital balls or complete ducks and you think it’s the personnel around him or the play calling? It doesn’t even matter if you factor in all the other struggles on offense, there’s not many throws out there that he is making confidently anymore regardless of play call, protection or personnel.
  14. Why any true bomber fan would want or even suggest another team winning to show them what’s up after going to 5 straight ******* grey cups is wild. That’s not a bomber fan in my opinion In any way, show them what exactly? The bombers cup wins were against Hamilton ffs. Yeah that will show them, honestly. The anger some of you have towards a ******* sports team is insane. It’s not right. Sports ain’t for you if all it does is piss you off and anger you. What’s the point. You win some, you lose some. That’s sports. Always has been always will be. Dynasties or empires or mafias don’t last forever and honestly it’s just childish bullshit.
  15. and to think....same situ next yr....no way he took a huge shave....and if he due a big bonus in January...we best re-think this....No law saying u cant release him prior to if he not willing to renegotiate it I sure we gonna re-up...or wanna BO....Demski already making nice scratch, we definitely need to sign a legit A1 receiver to compliment Wilson, and definitely need to upgrade center...and possible guard.....600k...even 500+k tied into who knows what ZC is gonna be only hamstrings us an additional yr I know many think Kramdi is the cats patoot too, but we need to shed that 140k...along with whatever Thomas makes....which is too much even if league minimum...Wilson....T.Jones We have too much money tied into long term vets who are not giving us the bang for the buck,
  16. CFL does decide the act right, it’s not the bombers. It’s sad that I think your idea is an innovative one lol and honestly almost dare I say need to see it (who does AI, make it happen )
  17. I agree but also have been all over Younger and this stupid scheme we use to let QB's sit back and pick the team apart....never gonna win playoff ball or league games for that matter consistently doing the no pressure thing, and on top of that playing it with guys on many snaps who cant get off a block let alone creamy any disturbance to the run game It was figured out mid point of last yr, and constantly this yr....sire it gets some famc stats in some regards....but it also gasses the defence for when it matters, and also keeps our offence off the field when we just give up 2nd and long conversions over and over.....If we had a lights out offence that put up points at will...from anywhere on the field then maybe yeah...it could see lasting success.....but as it is now....no hope in hell...and the record of the team from end of 2023 through to now is pretty proof positive
  18. Today
  19. Only 3 return TDs for Vaval? Why limit him?
  20. Zach is making 600 k and pretty much every other starter makes less and in some cases a lot less. He's making too much money.
  21. too much is being put laid at the feet of the oline for ZC issues...are they the best in the league....not anymore but regardless they are not the issues for ZC regressing and the offence in general more times than not looking disjointed, confused and lacking any real system or scheme to play off of And until we show we can make adjustments and coaching decisions in game to take advantage of, or counter act what other teams are doing...we aint winning anything...aka coaching or lack there of
  22. Bo Levi would have to play the game of his life, but it is possible, if improbable.
