  3. It was obvious to me at least that Strev wasn't the guy & we needed to move on. The knee injury has forced the Bombers hand but Powell was there. We weren't aggressive enough. Well, every qb that backs up someone is unproven & is a roll of the dice. I never said he was guaranteed. But of all the FA qbs available he was the best.
  4. All things considered I would rather hang out with the Parrs over the Cars (there is a ton of info coming regarding upcoming releases) https://deadline.com/2026/03/lilo-stitch-2-incredibles-3-release-dates-1236759384/
  5. I absolutely can't wait for this. Going to be a tremendous asset to the city!!

  8. For sure. And I’m not saying play aggressive and force the play at all times, but in the situation I was referencing, and one that led to the first goal, the Jets had numbers in their favour. Both obvious times to attack, but instead we chose to retreat and allow time and space. Good teams don’t do this.
  9. Very little residential will be very close to the stadium. You have the rapid transit station to the North/North West & campus land to the North East providing a buffer. Those areas are bordered by Sifton road which is meant to be the main retail area of the new development with coffee shops, pubs, banks etc. Here's a better look at what's planned - it's nothing like Ottawa. They are also very actively promoting the proximity to the stadium (and other facilities) as a major selling point so people buying there should be well aware of those considerations.

  16. Passive instead of aggressive, collapsing in instead of trying to force the play is sometimes viable but also comes with huge consequences. I myself like a aggressive approach with risks and all to dictate the play.
  17. Fairmont has confirmed EXACTLY what I thought but they said they're going to do a one off in June for Dream Factory
  18. "It could" as a possibility sure. But it just wouldn't ever make sense. And it still wouldn't be right over top like the Ottawa rendering shows. And with how the golf course is currently being developed, it just doesn't seem like that would make any sense...regardless, some residents may care...but the people who could actually make change won't give two damns about it as long as the $$ keeps flowing.
  19. For whatever reason there was a long held belief that 9v9 youth tackle football, wasn't "football" in a lot of minds that controlled amateur ball in the province. And programs suffered under that. Even that change has brought youth football back growing in the province. Along with programs like the Selects, or Recruit ready, Club ball has added a spring league too for U16 and up....there are more and more programs in MB that are just about developing players at every level. Not only skill but just a love for the game. Add in the Bombers 1st class commitment to the youth in tackle and flag and football is seeing a legitimate renaissance here.
  20. The Jets should’ve won that game. They played better and dominated for stretches. The 2nd goal was a bit of a back breaker. We had multiple good scoring chances and had the Predators hemmed in their zone. Once again we gave up our blue line and it killed us. The Preds player was slowing up before our zone and instead of forcing him, we backed off and allowed him to enter uncontested. One pass and it’s in the net. You just can’t retreat in those situations. It has cost us so many times this season.
  21. The backup plan was chris streveler. I don't think Elgersema factored in at all. Trouble is strevelers knee is ****** and we got nothing
  22. What about Powell screams 7-8 year starter? He had a fairly unremarkable rookie season. Did well in the one game in 2024 before leaving the field in an ambulance due to a concussion and has thrown 12 passes since.
  23. I was at the game tonight. I'm no expert but I thought the jets played well throughout. Not sure what to make of this team, although right now it seems like a one line team. I think they deserved 2 points tonight. Another thought I've been having over the last 6 or so games, is although hellybuck can't be blamed for the losing games ( some real tough saves ) it would be nice if he made a few of those. It would be a difference maker at a time we could really use those. Id really like playoff hockey. It's fun to watch
  24. That development can be done on the north side of PAS if you look at the renderings. The residential part looks very close to the stadium. As far as no one caring about noise because they're making money, sure. That's why we see just as many videos of people on social media complaining or in conflict with others in rich residential neighbourhoods as we see in the Hood. It's too bad that we're in a holding pattern with Taylor Elegersma that we've completly let the backup qb position become something of a wilderness similar to what happened to our DL. Powell would have been the perfect backup to Collaros. Experienced & still young enough to give us 7 or 8 years as a starter. However, we let him get away for some rookie with delusions of grandeur & a fantasy money tree in his living room.
  25. Sweet snipe by JMo. Nice feed too.
  26. One Predator gains the zone on the PP against 4 Jets. A few seconds later, it’s in our net. The ease with which we give up our zone, drives me absolutely nuts. It’s inexcusable and so completely avoidable.

  29. Hope you're right because as soon as that first contract was over after being drafted it seemed that Bomber players just bailed & signed with other teams from or close to their own backyards where they grew up. Which is a problem because the majority of players come from Ontario. Or never came back here after NFL tryouts. Sure, we've had guys sign with the Bombers from Winnipeg/Manitoba. I didn't say that no one ever did.
  30. As much as I loathe the Oilers and the Leafs, hate to see these injuries to Matthews and Draisaitl.

  32. We've had plenty of MB's play for the team during MOS era. Part of the problem was that MB amateur football didn't really have the programs other provinces did to help develop that young talent. We do now. In the next decade there will be more and more MB's playing pro football.
