  1. Past hour
  2. I watched the interview and they did talk in general about the multiple situations and he talked about making the same call with zach who also threw a td. He really just chalks it up to poor execution and accuracy on the throws. Parts of it are better than it sounds, but parts are worse. I don’t think he gets that the co and hc are responsible for creating execution through preparation and practice. I think his defence of strevys play is not great either. Clearly Chris is struggling to act quickly. Be it getting the ball out of his hands, rpo, run option or when pressured. He really harps on being right in his play call. Says he is hard on him self in review and hindsight. Seems really singular minded. Which matches what I’ve seen from his play call so far. If he thinks he’s right even if it isn’t working, he’s gonna keep doing the same thing. Watching JYs interview it’s easy to see the difference and why his D has bounced back and found ways to excel. And why Hogan hasn’t. I was disappointed with hogan but happy we got Jackson. Try to hope for the best and give him the benefit of the doubt. But damn, I’m worried about him as OC. Even with Jackson, he doesn’t seem ready. His complete lack of experience with being an OC at any real level is a lot to over come.
  3. Reporters should have pointed out to Hogan that he did this twice in three games.

  5. Textbook behavior on how to lose your offensive players and get the fans against you by blaming the popular backup quarterback on your stupid playcalling. Leaders don't typically blame others, they take responsibility in their actions. At least on this forum, there isn't one person impressed with him so far. Run the ball, kick the field goal and make it a 2 score game or make a safe quick pass if you feel the need. I have no confidence in our offense if that's the kind of person who's in charge of it.
  6. And force us into way too many 2nd and longs
  7. Yep. And most did it a bit too the previous week. Mafia attitude towards strevy has shifted hard. Getting to the point that it’s hard to imagine him coming back after his deal is up. If that’s how they deal with it to the media, how are they dealing with him behind closed doors? Agree. Don’t think we’d a done that in years prior either.
  8. 3 Canadian receivers...well we better trade for a legit one...cause Demski...Clercius and Corcoran ain't gonna win us many games...especially with Sterns and Wheatfall as the imports That's a load if crap...pathetic thing to say... Coaching kills us...said it many times Yeah...agreed...all comes down to again poor roster management and usage of assets Yup...he has zero street cred yet...to say something like that is not a good look
  9. I don't like Hogan taking no responsibility there. I feel like analytics tells you running the ball twice and either gaining another set of downs or the TD and at worst having the kick the FG to go up two scores is the correct play. Its also not the first time Hogan has made this mistake, he did so in the Calgary game too. It comes across as arrogant and Hogan has done nothing to get away with being arrogant. IMO he hasn't proven he can be an average OC yet.

  12. It’s actually one of the first times (that I can recall) that a coach on this team has publicly thrown a player under the bus.
  13. Go 5 Canadians on O, 2 on D. 2 OL, 2 receivers, RB. Have Corcoran/Clercius rotate one spot depending who you want at a wideout spot (get Mitchell involved), and have Peterson, Chris-Ike as cover too. Cobb could come or go depending on who they want on for special teams. If Logan is up, not much need for Cobb IMO. Should not be a problem to go 2 on D based on how they rotate on D. Kramdi plays basically every down, Lawson or Thomas out there almost every down. Then you have Kelly, Hallett, Gauthier and the rookie LB's as cover too. Kelly was playing nickel last week when they went all American DL.
  14. I think it's pretty clear they need to flip a couple American spots to O. We have guys like Shay and Smith to cover LB if we really needed. Kelly can play. Hallett is passable. The kind of D we play I'd much rather have 1 American dressed at WIL/MLB than 4. Having guys like Jones, Wilson and Ayres on to combined play under half the D snaps is mega waste when we have a phase of the team playing insanely short handed on O.
  15. Soo many times we have chosen to be passive and not played for the win or the kill shot. How we ended up dead set on it in that spot is worrying. It screams of insecurity. trying to steal the win because they don’t think we can secure it with a controlled ball control/clock killing drive.
  16. I wish someone had asked him a follow up question. What’s the difference between going up 9 or 13 there? That was an inexcusable call. There was 2:58 left … run the ball twice, kill a minute at minimum … make it a two possession game with 2 minutes and change left. Even if you give them a 13 point hole instead of 9 … it was first down, you’re giving them an entire extra minute to work with. God awful.
  17. Brady has been effective, but yeah, better interior play would help. And primarily around the C spot.
  18. Our offence with either qb struggles to deal with pressure. We don’t set up well for timing deep shots (we need 5+ second pockets) and we don’t have good quick passing plays. We don’t even attack the mid depth of 15-25 well. Outs, crossers, and hooks, with all the targets in the same relative level of depth across the field. over and over again. Defences don’t even get out of their back pedal. They sit and read the qb and rally to the ball, which is constantly short of first down yardage any way.
  19. https://3downnation.com/2025/08/04/winnipeg-oc-jason-hogan-defends-play-call-blames-misplaced-throw-for-late-game-interception/ Seems like strevy is the scape goat for hogan and the mafia. Which I mean, he’s part of the problem. But our offense was a problem with a healthy wr core, with zach and with a healthy ol. Kinda wild to me. Play call, qbing and wr core have all been close to equal in terms of being problematic. We’ve gone through a bunch of ol, wrs and 2 QBs. But play call isn’t a problem. We can’t beat man, zone, teams dropping guys or teams running blitz heavy schemes. When that’s the case with two different QBs the oc has to take some blame. Funny thing is, since hogan is new and fresh no one would blame him if he said hey yeah that was me. Thought we had some thing and they countered it well. People expect growing pains with new ocs. He could’ve been a leader and taken pressure off his qb. Instead, he passed all the blame. He’s either gonna learn real quick from that, or have a real limited career as an oc.
  20. We can go with 3 import OL if we continue to have 3 starting Canadian receivers. Woods could come on if we move Cooley back to PR and add Peterson. So all sorts of possibilities. Parker will go to IR but we can add 2 other imports in their place. Taking off Ayers if we choose to add Logan, 3 import OL and Woods is another choice with J. Jones on the AR last week.
  21. Cooley was on for Schoen/Case And I was talking with adding Woods which would be smart and not removing Ayers and someone else We have no Canadian depth that can give us as good or better than average coverage at DB...and we don't know at linebacker cause we won't give Shay or Smith reps I'm all for what you mentioned with Mitchell and Logan...but that's if we allow shay and Smith to grow into the defence...and we havnt yet
  22. How the **** is it hard to get Logan on? We have Cooley on. We have multiple American guys already who only play special teams. Just have to let Canadian depth guys getting healthy take those roles. If Ayres isn't good enough to take a turn on D, pull him off. Choose three American LB's. Don't need 4. We could easily start 3 American OL, have Mitchell and Logan on. Drop one of Wilson/Jones, and drop Ayres, Cooley obviously comes off. With the Canadians we have on D, those guys to cover kicks are a total luxury. We play majority of snaps with 1 of those 4 LB's on the field, about 1/3 of snaps with 2 of them on. We don't need 4. I'm probably one of the few people on this planet that would even think of special teams and this roster so far this season has been complete overkill. We basically don't have an offense because we're holding spots for guys to chase kicks. We can't block, we can't catch the ball.
  23. be fun to watch if he starts and we start handing it to him...the limps....pained look on face...etc....Doing the Vaj lol
  24. Yeah I dont want him playing DB really....not currently...If he on roster we should start working him on offence....running the jet sweeps and stuff....even doing vertical routes to drag a HB and Safety outta the equation We like to play guys out of position as it is...well there ya go...do it with a guy that it makes sense with Slap Woods on for Ayers....One of Allen and Dawson for Parker....then reassess how thats going....I'd be putting Bailey on for Ball too....cause with Kelly...Hallett...Kramdi..Shay..Smith....do we really need a redundant Ball who will never see the field other than teams...and have yet to see him make any plays? and eventually we gonna see Makonzo back too The one guy I see maybe having a hard time getting on is Logan, if Vaval continues what he did....Plus he is good depth in a pinch on defence
  25. I would be cautious about cheering that Big Stan is coming back. He is a year older, his conditioning is likely off plus who knows what lingering effects of the injury will be? Improving the. LT position without upgrading Center is equivalent to plugging a small hole in the boat while ignoring the biggest one is just plain stoopid.
