  2. I see. I’ll take a look. An alternative is clicking the blue dot for a thread that has unread posts. It will take you directly to your first unread post. I use this all the time, I only see the first post on new threads.
  3. He's signing somewhere, just not Toronto.
  4. When I open a thread I need to scroll past the 1st posting to click to advance to the last page. Not a big deal, and I am not sure if that can be changed since the threads' titles are a part of the 1st post of each thread.
  5. Rest In Peace, Brad Arnold. To die so young. Very tragic. Eff cancer.
  6. Not sure what you mean by this.

  8. I think most GMs would honour any contracts offered. I don't think any team would mess with the system they have to screw it up. Look at last year when they announced the salary cap kncrease right about now. A week after the window opened. No teams wanted to offer more to nab a player from another team or put in a different offer to keep or sign a free agent. Example: Kenny Lawler. The Bombers could have offered more but said no after he & the Ti Cats agreed to terms.

  11. So, which teams were the free agent winners (including their own) & losers?
  12. I honestly forgot about Arthur being called that too until it was brought up
  13. Transfer or not if Ceresna wanted to back out he could have. He would just need to not sign with the Bombers and wait for FA. Only the team is obligated to terms in the neg window. Player can back out by saying they are no longer interested an hour before the start of FA
  14. Don't remember but that's okay.
  15. Any way to put the page listings above the 1st post of a topic instead of below it? Saves a bit of scrolling if its a topic I am revisiting.
  16. There were in fact...follies.
  17. They could have just released him, which is what most teams would have done. By transferring Ceresna's contract to the Bombers, it eliminated any opportunity for a screw up. Like another team trying to scoop in to try to sign in. Hervey did Walters a favour, maybe he's getting a steak dinner out of the deal.
  18. But why make a public announcement? That would be protocol anyway. They know he's leaving. My point is, if you do it for one player then you have to do it for everyone. Even the backup long snapper who left in free agency. That's a heckuva lot of announcements league wide per team. I've no issue with it. Just that it was never done before.
  19. It's as simple as doing right by a player so that he can sign and get his signing bonus sooner. 💯. It was a classy move by Hervey so that Ceresna can finalize his contract without waiting. Also there is roster limits in the offseason of 85 players. Its possible that Hervey has a bunch of recruits to sign and needed to open a roster spot. It really isn't a mystery why he would release Ceresna if you look at possible factors for doing so.
  20. It was a strange announcement. Nobody has ever done that before. Are they going to do that with every free agent they lose? What about the Argos & Ti Cats & the players they lost? That would be a lot of announcements per team. Our team last year? Some new CFL media protocol? It was just weird.
  21. The motivation was simply that Edmonton wasn't going to match the offer we made so instead of waiting for the clubs 48 hour exclusive negotiating period to end, they just ripped the bandaid off and moved on.
  22. From Three Dog Night to 3 Doors Down ConsequenceBrad Arnold, 3 Doors Down Lead Singer, Dead at 47Brad Arnold, the lead singer of the hard rock band 3 Door Down, has passed away. He was 47 years old and had been battling stage 4 kidney cancer since May 2025.
  23. WTF is Hervey doing? There's something you hear every day.
  24. WTF is Hervey doing??? No one seems to know the motivation for this announcement other than Hervey really wanted Ceresna gone & is holding the door open as he leaves.
  25. I saw The Factor is back & had no idea what it meant. Was that Arthur's nickname?
  26. Mark digging up some repressed memories relating to The Factor.
