  1. Past hour
  2. Might have to cut the grass. We'll see.
  3. To continue to pile on Streveler The Bombers are 7th in the league is TD drive percentage at 16.8%. Montreal is last at 11.6% Streveler was 4/16 Week 2. 0/1 Week 5. 1/8 Week 7. 1/7 Week 8. 1/13 in week 9. 0/4 in week 14. So overall that is 7/49 so... something like 14%... the only offense worse than the Bombers with Streveler at the helm is Montreal and their pu pu platter of QBs they've trotted out this year The Bombers are SIGNIFICANTLY better with Collaros at the helm. Whether that is a change in playcalling to better fit Streveler, or because of his knee, or Collaros is just that much better is up to debate. Sure he is 2-0, but getting those wins against a BC team at home coming off a bye when Rourke is known to have the yips against the Bombers, and then against Toronto when Special Teams and the Defense were playing out of their minds (Jefferson had the highest rated PFF game ever if you are into that metric) is a tad misleading.
  4. Yeah, I love Strev for everything he has given us, but he isn't the present or the future. The picks he has thrown in the games he has played were arguably worse than even the ones Zach has thrown. He can't run anymore. He can't seem to read a defence. I think for next year we have two options, neither a guarantee: - Elgersma comes up north and goes full Rourke season 1 - Get lucky with a B-tier free agent, similar to Fajardo with the Elks.
  5. Lol, and how many passes have those guys thrown compared to Streveler? Like a million??
  6. That's a horrible comparison. Not only by amount of throws by distance as well. I'd bet Strev has less than 5 throws beyond 15yrds this year. People can talk all they want about how good he is or isn't. At the end of the day, defenses do not respect his throwing ability.
  7. Common man. He looked good against B.C. and their putrid defense in week 2, but since then he's been gawd awful. He was terrible in the win against Toronto and has been terrible since. The protection was spotty last game but Streveler looked lost. He constantly makes ridiculous sidearm school yard throws, makes terrible decisions, isnt accurate as a passer, cant read defenses, and is barely a threat to run anymore which was his bread and butter. Lets be real, he wasnt good back in 2019 either when he took over for Nichols which is why they went out and got Collaros in the first place. Streveler hasnt progressed as a QB. Thanks for the 2019 playoffs but its time to look forward and move on. He's not a starting QB.
  8. Anyone pencilling in those home wins against good teams, even with Collaros healthy? I don't know. We haven't beat a single winning team yet. Not one.
  9. I didn't see any of his work in TC but did watch his very small body of work in the 2024 GC and was intrigued?
  10. Maybe 2024? I’m pretty sure this preseason he might have thrown one pass over 10 yards. I mean, I’d hope you’re right, obviously I want any Bomber QB to do well.
  11. Making changes at this point is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Gives you something to do but won't make any difference.
  12. Hoping that Strev will turn into a decent QB at this stage of his career is just wishful or maybe even magical thinking.
  13. That's just not true. He's got a better completion percentage than Vernon Adams, a hair behind Bo Levi Mitchell .. he's in the middle of the road (league wide) in terms of accuracy.
  14. What I find incredibly frustrating is that people just don't acknowledge that the game plan we had week one (vs every other opportunity Strev has had whether in relief or as a starter) has been night and day different. Week one they let him run an actual offense and low and behold, looked pretty damn good. I'm not saying he's the next one or will ever be a great quarterback but you can't handicap a guy and expect him to be lights out. It only undermines any chance the offense as a whole has to be successful.
  15. The frustrating thing for me is that you know what you have with Streveler. Wilson has been around for more and a season and a half this point. The only QBs who have seen any playtime that are have been worse than Streveler are Morgan (MTL), Masoli (BC), and Walker (CGY). The only QB who has a depth of target less than Streveler is Morgan. Streveler is the only QB in the league who has more than 1 red zone intereception despite being 13th in overall passing attempts. It's not even like he is doing anything with his legs... him and Collaros are neck and neck in rushing yardage, but Collaros has 6 runs of 10+ yards vs 1 for Streveler. If Steveler can't get the job done, and you are unwilling to go to Wilson... what is even the point of having Wilson on the roster? To run the short yardage game when Collaros inevitably gets injured and you don't want to have Streveler do it while he is QB1?
  16. It is not insane in any way. I am not sure what you are watching. His pass mechanics and accuracy are well below average. That isn't a function of poor protection or scheme. He is a backup QB, that can bring a different look to an offence a few times a game. If we are using him for more than that, we likely won't win much. His arm strength is just fine. I will trust the coaches to make the right call on him because it's impossible for us, as fans, to know what this guy has got or doesn't have.
  17. Lack of Upper-echelon arm talent doesnt mean he still doesnt possess above average arm strength. No ones saying he's Brett Favre. From what ive seen in pre-season his arm strength is not a concern.
  18. Lawler revenge game he’s about to clap Dexter Lawson’s cheeks
  19. I don’t want to write him off fully. I just don’t think he’s fully recovered from last years injury. Something just seems off. Agree OL is the biggest problem.
  20. Just insane people write streveler off based on the **** show that is our offense this year... guy has won both his starts, and yeah it wasn't always pretty but neither has collaros been. Our OL is making life hard on qbs.
  21. From the same report “Wilson’s deep accuracy is a concern. Meanwhile, in the short and intermediate ranges, he sometimes misses high due to varying release points. Among other things, Wilson doesn’t quite have the upper-echelon arm talent to fit passes into tight windows downfield.”
  22. Wilson has plenty of arm. Wilson’s NFL Draft scouting report overview Wilson is an athletic signal-caller with an above-average arm (from a velocity standpoint). His athleticism is especially impressive, given that he suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee back in 2019. Wilson has since recovered and looks just as dynamic as he was before the injury.
  23. When I‘m frustrated during games I want to see what our backup QBs can do (like most fans) I‘m not sure Wilson is the answer though honestly. He can run for sure. If you watch his highlights from college, he predominantly threw from the pocket, and they mostly ran a wide spread with a lot of dump offs/screens. I’m not sure he has the arm strength for the CFL intermediate-deep game. If he can throw on the run (which I don’t know one way or another) he could have success running something like we saw in the Montreal game earlier this year. I also don’t think we have the OL to run a pure drop back offence for any QB. At the very least, he needs to take over the SY set permanently, healthy Zach or not.

  26. You figure Houston would come on for Vaval? He played that side when he was here before but I’m not sold on Lawson Jr either. Vaval seems like more of a liability right now, and I feel like Hamilton would exploit him, or he’d take a bad PI. Agree Griffin at sam would be ideal, with Kramdi at S and Allen/Woodbey rotating on for certain looks.
  27. Streveler is not the answer. Never has been, never will be. Gadget QB with terrible mechanics and poor decision making. Thanks for 2019 but time to move on. Need to see what we have in Wilson at the very least. Will O'Shea give Wilson a chance? Not a chance.
