Hhh hasn't been on since. Raw sucked b4 that angle and has sucked after. It's the booking and writing that sucks. Solid matches but poor booking and writing

Smackdown is much better with a thinner roster. Did Ambrose turn heel tonight? Watched Barrin Corbin on Talking Smack this evening. My Gawd, is there another wrestler as bad & as boring on the mic as Corbin? I... don't... want... anyone. It's... my... birthday. I... want... to...make... money. I... don't... want... anyone... to... screw... things... up... for... me. I... was... Golden... Gloves... Champion... Boxed... in... 19... States. I... was... a... Jiu... Jitsu... Champion. All monotone. All boring. Buh bye Barrin. Go work on your mic skills. Find a new shtick. Why isn't he back on NXT? Does anyone really care about this guy?

I actually got around to watching a raw for the first time in seemingly forever last night.  I like the new stage set up, but I dont like the grey barricade walls around the ring or the posts.  It seemed like they use that far out cam when they need to call spots which is a good move.

as for the show itself. meh.  I didnt mind the owens/reigns match but I dont like how much owens talks. couple good spots in the match like that slam by owens to reigns off the top rope.

I see the new day is just as annoying as ever, not really diggin Gallows and Anderson (bald knock off of the outsiders... been there done that)

Bo Dallas vs a jobber, then Jack Swagger jobbin for Mahal soon after... they need/want 3 hours of raw why?

Jerichos Highlight reel was rather cringe worthy too. Zayn might be a decent wrestler but rather dull on the mic, and jericho gets a little too cheesy everytime i see him

just my 2 cents

Jericho has been cheesy his entire career. The Man Of A Thousand Holds. Number 1....

true, but at least he used to be a fantastic wrestler (back when he wore pants and had long hair) I suppose the fact he hasnt changed much both in the ring and on the stick after 3 decades kind of disappoints me the most.  when he came back to raw prior to the royal rumble and was still yelling Y2J and raw is jericho... you could hear a pin drop

Yeah, that was embarrassing. He missed the mark on that one.

Smackdown has better booking and writing. Writers are different I think

The writers are different.  Ryan something or other writes SD.  He was NXT's writer before being promoted.  But really, Hunter is head of creative and Vince is his boss.  How it works is, Hunter & Vince come up with the angles or how they want guys positioned and the writers just write the details, format the run sheets for individual shows etc.  The head writers have more power to suggest things.  But its not like how it used to be with a booking team that actually crafted the angles themselves.  Its all Vince & Hunter and whomever they trust this week.

RAW is three hours because USA Network's over-all average rating dropped a few years ago so they asked WWE to add an hour.  WWE knows it drags them down but they get paid a lot of money for it.  If they dropped the third hour, they'd have to drop some money too.  Shareholders dont like when you decline money.

Jericho is masterful at everything he does and very in tune with evolving his character over time and as he ages.

Corbin does suck, I wholeheartedly agree.  Im not always right in my evaluations (I hated the Bucks on first sight for example), but I saw Corbin on that reality tv show on the Network and within two minutes I wondered what WWE saw in him.  He has nothing.

First, I’d like to thank all my fans for their love and support the last few weeks. Let me begin by saying that the rumors that I’m leaving the WWE are completely false! I certainly look forward to returning back to action at some point, once my injury is treated and on a healthy return. Although I was disappointed by my suspension, I respect the WWE’s Wellness Policy. However, let me be clear that I was not suspended for failing a drug test, it was merely due to a procedural issue. I took the test, I passed it. I arranged said test to happen after I wasn’t at my home when aegis contacted me. So I drove 200 miles to do it. Unfortunately I didn’t do it in time, according to Aegis. Once again, thank you for all the love and support!

And as he has done in most recent interviews, Bryan once again expressed uncertainty about closing the book on his in-ring career.

"I honestly do," Bryan said about hoping to wrestle again. "All the real concussion specialists who deal with concussions every day, all of them think I am fine."

But Bryan noted that he understood why WWE wouldn’t clear him.

Went on to say he'd wrestle in a hood as Starman on an indy show next week if he thought he could get away with it.  And implied WWE was sort of teasing him by doing things like running a website poll asking who he should face if he could wrestle again.  He claims WWE has not changed their mind.

Im sort of wondering if there is a swerve here, that Bryan is in on.  The Miz stuff makes no sense if WWE isnt going to let him wrestle.  If they really arent...then release the guy.

It makes zero sense.  Which means either WWE is open to it or flat out have a plan which Bryan is in on.  Or they are just cruel and are taunting Bryan.

My only other theory is that The Miz blowing up at Daniel Bryan on Talking Smack was 100% unscripted and Miz was actually pissed off at DB saying he wrestled like a coward, and now WWE is trying to run with it as an angle because everyone loved it.  Even though they have no intention of DB wrestling again.

Worked shoot by Miz.  Bryan was in on it. Miz was also. Meant to seem like it was a shoot but both guys knew what was gonna be said for sure. Wwe wouldn't allow a guy to shoot like that... and then recap it. It's like the joey styles shoot or punk shoot... wwe knew basically what was gonna be Said.

Wreslemania will have Miz vs Bryan. Guaranteed

It was done to make Miz look like more of an ass then his character is. It was a shoot. That Miz only wrestles a certain way. that he won't take chances. It was all to enhance his heel image.

Not a shoot.  A less scripted than usual work.  Talking Smack is cool because they dont script out every word.  Ofcourse, if it becomes popular they probably will start scripting every word.  But Bryan and Miz had their bullet points and then did the promo as booked.  The only shoot aspect was its probably how Miz really feels (not so much that he has an issue with Bryan, but that people criticize him for his style and he doesnt get the respect he deserves).

Bryan has said WWE still wont let him work and he had no say in anything he does.  But he does what he's told because he's under contract.  Previously, WWE had sent him home and Bryan asked for his release and they said no...and even said by the way since you're hurt, we are rolling over your contract indefinitely.  So...basically holding him hostage.  Now that he's on TV again, his contract clock is ticking again.

TNA news:

Smashing Pumpkin's Billy Corgan is trying to buy it.  TNA is basically on death's door (where its been for some time).  Every time they have a TV taping scheduled, they scramble to finance them.  At one point, TNA took money from their production company which is fronted by the Harris Twins (two alleged Nazi's) and in return, the production company got stake in TNA and first rights to buy the company.

At another point, Corgan financed a TV taping and received stock in the company.

The belief was the production company was going to buy TNA by Sept 1st, which they didnt.  Corgan has now said he is negotiating to buy.  Supposedly he financed two sets of TV tapings and owns somewhere between 20-30% of TNA, but is running the company as President.

Majority owner Dixie Carter wants $4-$6 million.  Which is nuts.  A New York Post story from a few days ago valued TNA at $40 mm which is laughable.

The belief is something has to happen by Oct 2nd as that's the next set up TV tapings and someone has to pay for them.

The New York Post story stated that both Sinclair Broadcasting (which owns Ring of Honor) and WWE made bids.  That isnt entirely true.  Sinclair was interested in buying TNA awhile back.  Sinclair wanted TNA's TV deals for which they would use for ROH and scuttle TNA.  TNA's only real value is its over-seas TV deals.  They have a big (multi-million dollar) deal with India and another good deal in the UK.  Thats basically the entirety of their income.

WWE did express to TNA an interest in buying the tape libary.  But apparently that went nowhere as Dixie and TNA think they can continue to operate.  There are some weird rumours that TNA could sell the library to WWE and use the money to fund operations.  But I cant see WWE buying the library while letting TNA continue to operate.  WWE has no interest in taking on debt (contracts and obligations) or running TNA.

WWE historically pays $500 per hour of tape library which is somewhere around $700,000+ for TNA which would be low.  I could see a price of $2mm for TNA's library since it's HD content and ready for broadcast (and since WWE has several TNA guys, it increases the value to WWE).

So...will Billy raise the $4mm to buy TNA?  Will Dixie pick WWE?

It was bad news for WWE for a second week, as the ratings for Raw last night were almost identical to the week before, which at the time were considered shockingly low.

The three plus hour broadcast averaged 2.68 million viewers, identical to the week before. Actually there were 2,000 more viewers last night, so it would just barely beat out last week's show as the lowest non-holiday episode of the show since 1996.
