Olsen was good but so were others. Mccambridge familiar with Olsen from St Johns

Could Olsen provide some competition for Copp for 4C?

I think he could use another year in the AHL but he can use this training camp to make a strong case as one of the first call-ups.

It's his 3rd rookie tournament. He should look good. 1 game tho doesn't make him a candidate. Talk about Copp. Well. Who is to say Burmi isn't the 4th line center.

There's talk of Burmi pushing Lowry down to 4C. That would be ideal in that it would mean the 4th line is really good and getting more playing time.

I think Lowry and Burmi will end up being dynamic

Together.

I think Burmi would have to play lights out to push Lowry to 4th lne center. as stated befoe, more likely is is LW on Lowry's line.

Agreed with the first point. Not sure Bout the 2nd. Think he's RW on the 3rd or center on the 4th.

I don't believe burmi plays 4C at all. He'd hate that and he's too good offensively

Burmi hating something? Imagine that. Good offensively? It's been a while but not sure I'd use the "good" word.

3 RW is about right he's got speed and will go in the corners, also i think he's excited to be back and that can do nothing but help.

Why RW over LW?

Talent isnt always purely statistical.  Not too many people think Burmi *isn't* offensively talented.

Why RW over LW?

I think that is often debated.  He shoots left so you'd assume he plays LW but Im pretty sure I recall him playing RW for the Jets.  Lets chalk up to his ability to play all three positions.  Which is another feather in his cap.

I don't see him  playing 4th line or unseating Lowry. I think he complements Lowry well though. Ehlers start on that line too?

Supposedly one of Maurice's line combinations has Ehlers with Ladd and Little.

But I agree. Would not be surprised to see Ehlers-Lowry-Burmi. Speed, defensively sound, offensive threat, puck possession.

Wouldn't that line combe put Staf on the 3rd line....4.35m per year is lots for a 3rd liner.

4th lone spots are interesting this year.

Anxious to watch the game that's coming on.

19. Boy did Winnipeg’s Nik Ehlers coast through his first two games at that tournament. But he finished well, leading a couple of scouts to laugh that Ehlers was letting everyone know he’d be more competitive at the main camp. Also: “He’s stronger than you’d think.”

he used his line mates more that is why he looked better.

I find this discussion yesterday quite interesting.  Maurice talked about changing the lines up and essentially suggested Lowry will eventually settle into being the center "that plays against the other teams top line".  And the speculation was he might get time between Ladd & Little.

I wonder if the Jets forecast that as the number 2 line with Ehelers-Scheif-Wheeler as the number 1 line...?

Could be a transitional season for more than just the inclusion of young players.  The Jets have a load of centers both now and in the pipeline so people are going to be converted to wing...

Maurice provided a lot of info and definitely was honest on the radio and did a great job explaining the teams plan.

And right off the hope, they go with Ladd-Lowry-Little at training camp.

Maurice says that Lowry will eventually play against the other team's top center. They have 5 that have played top 9 center. They like Perrault at wing. Who else plays wing? Burmi is the natural choice but Maurice says they will try Lowry between Ladd and Little. (So, the 4 centers would be Lowry, Scheif, Burmi and Copp?)

They played L-L-L earlier today at TC.

Ok so the centers are now?  Lowry/Scheif/Copp/?/

Stafford plays with Scheif and Wheeler?  Where does Perrault play?

Could see Burmi or Little still at centre.  I don't think anything is set in stone.  Perreault is one of those guys who can slot in anywhere on LW or C and I'd like to see him with Scheifele and Wheeler but he could add a lot to a line like Perreault/Burmi/Ehlers.
