Said it before but if they play like that next game it’s coming back to Winnipeg. That funny feeling has kinda returned. I’m not sure why. Prob cuz when jets win a game they dominate and it seems like they don’t wanna go home yet.

Really solid win last night.  Pretty suffocating style of play and Helly was big when he needed to be.  Please take that show on the road.

I’m still pissed about the Benn situation late in the game.  He’s a dirty POS.  That whole melee was his doing and the refs reward them with a PP.  We’ve seen some shady calls this series, but that may be the worst.  The league better look at that punch, but they probably won’t.  It was predatory and dangerous.  Giving Dallas a PP and then doing nothing after the fact, is condoning sucker punching star players.  There’s no place for it…. At least there shouldn’t be.

Don’t want to get ahead of myself here although I don’t think random fan who has been to 20 games since they returned is relevant but (that’s me) they kind of got that LA Kings first cup win vibe going. Like believe LA was down 3 1 in a couple series when they won it all. Throw in the Fetts goal in game 7 with 2 seconds left and it’s almost got that jets just refuse to lose 4 vibe. 3 sure? 4? Nope.

Benn fined 5k for his hit on Scheif, according to the Illegal Curve guys....

Classic NHL.  $5k means absolutely nothing to these guys.  Nice message they’re sending…. You can sucker punch a guy, end up with a power play, and face no discipline.  What if Scheifele was knocked unconscious?  Would it still be a slap on the wrist?  Pathetic.

I have a coworker (Flyers fan, fwiw) who believes that Scheif has a bad reputation ever since his boarding penalty against Montreal during the bubble playoffs, and that he'll never get the benefit of the doubt ever again.

Just pointing it out as an interesting take is all...

Seems odd because that's his only infraction ever.   He's never done anything else like that throughout his career.   Whereas there are other jackasses out there who get away with lots and they somehow never get the attention of the league.

No offense to anyone, but that’s an insane take.  If there’s any truth to it, it’s even more insane.  As mentioned above, he’s never done anything else in his what, 12 years in the league?  And you’re going to hold a grudge against the one thing he did 4 years ago, that you deemed suspendable?  If that’s not nonsense, then the league has some serious problems.

And I had no problem with the hit on Evans BTW.
