Bomberguy Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago (edited) In most organizations a fall like this, if it continues, would generate a firing (whether it’s the coach or the GM). It won’t happen here as for some reason too many fans and the ownership swallow the propaganda spewed by the team management. 😕 Edited 15 hours ago by Bomberguy

Toews possibly also. I think I’d tank this season. It’s a good draft. We need young talent. Yager has potential. Chibrikov also. Salo I like lots. Dom the goalie looks good. But outside of that not much currently on the moose. Couple interesting prospects in the ohl and ncaa. Top 4 D for sure in Sasha and possibly top 6 center in Walton. Top 9 let’s say. He looks good also but He won’t be ready for a few seasons. We lack tho a top 3 forward prospect tho currently. Yager definitely top 6 potential but he’s not that big either so. You need a top 5 pick. Ideally win the draft and get a franchise player.

We can't survive with crowds of 12 & 13000 just like the old Jets couldn't. Chipman can sell this team for over a billion dollars to some American outfit to move it to an American city with 4 times the population. Just watch what happens if we tank.

He won’t tho since the other owner of the jets is the richest owner in the nhl. Chipman and Thompson are committed to Winnipeg and the downtown hence all the upcoming developments around the area. I mean really.

When the fans turn away from the team there's always a danger that the owners may say they can get a better deal elsewhere.
Noeller Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago The Jets are absolutely not going anywhere... That's patently absurd. A tank and rebuild could absolutely be lived through no problem.

You sound like Neville Chamberlain coming home to London after his meeting with Hitler's Nazis in 1939 holding up that useless piece ot toilet paper that was supposed to be a treaty & gleefully proclaiming, "There will be peace in our time." You have no clue either.
Brandon Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I can see the Jets moving in 10 years or so. As the Jets 1.0 fans die off and less interest from the younger people it could cause them to move away (again). Noeller 1

If Chevy calls up the whole AHL team and plays them, yes they are tanking but other than that happening what do they do, players play half assed and coaches purposely make bad decisions? Has any NHL team ever admitted to tanking a season?
