No.. that means that Miller is likely on the outside looking in.  RHD defenseman in Schenn.
Pylon stanley is LHD.

That 2023 World Junior Canadian had some beasts on there.   Bedard, Guenther, and Stankhoven.   Dallas giving up Stankhoven is a huge deal.  Essentially Dallas gave up 3 1st rounders.   Rantanen must be willing to stay long term in Dallas.

In 2027. Not really. Think seattle ate half his contract also. I’d rather a 2nd for Tanev than a 1st for Laughton like Toronto paid.

I wouldn’t race to pick up Brayden Schenn. Blues are probably asking a lot, he has 3 years left on a $6.5 million/year contract at age 33, with only 12 goals and 38 points this year, has been a seriously minus player for 3 years now. If you want a good centre option, get Donato from Chicago (UFA but only $2 million contract and 23 goals, 46 points this year at age 28).

I think as fans we need to look at this team in the Helle Scheifele era here. Deals kicked in this season, I think we go for it every year they are here for so the next 7 8 years. If you can move 2nds and later who need 2 prob 3 4 years to develop anyways if they even make it for current nhl players you do it. I like that Chevy hasn’t moved our first…. Yet. Nobody so far has been worth it even in a weak as anything draft class. 

Still think our 1st heinola Barlow in play. 

I’d trade our 1st heinola and Barlow for a legit 2 C or legit RHD who can play with Josh.

Yeah Schenn isn’t a guy I’d be going after. He’s not a legit 2 C.

Yeah, the Leafs overpaid.  I still think we did too, but if Seattle is eating some of his contract, that helps.

I guess I just don’t see a need for Tanev and I’ve never really been a fan.

Rantanen sucked in Carolina but perhaps he’s better in Dallas but who knows if he wasn’t a product of MacKinnon. 

Colorado better for sure but to me Nelson is Monahan 

I think lots of times these deadline moves never work.

Not much. Schenn? Not really a 2C. Maybe RoR but Slow AF. I dunno.  Donato but talking extension with Chicago. No idea. Prob done.
