Large numbers of human beings continue to die everyday in this invasion while I muse about and joke around in other threads.

What a weird Fing world we live in.

Its called "gallows humour" and is a coping mechanism when we are confronted with an event that the conscious mind cannot make sense of it and needs to distract in order for the person to cope. It is common in ERs, with police and emergency responders. Some of this world we live in and are reminded of is functionally insane.

Troops Furious to Receive ‘Bullshit’ Gift Depicting Putin as a God

Russia’s Vladimir Putin has spent the past year ordering the genocide of Ukrainians and sending hundreds of thousands of his own citizens to die for him, but the Kremlin has now apparently sent a not-so-subtle hint to soldiers that they are meant to worship him.

Russian draftees from the Perm region sent to likely death in Ukraine say they were delighted to receive an Easter care package from Putin’s political party—until they realized it contained a quasi-religious icon featuring the face of the Russian leader.

When the package arrived, “We thought, they sent us something, they haven’t forgotten [about us], the [Easter] holiday is coming soon. But it turned out that it’s not about the holiday after all. No matter how much of a patriot of my homeland I may be, this is already complete bullshit,” one soldier told the local outlet Perm 36.6.

Photos of the “gift” show Putin featured in a mock religious icon, which are typically small paintings that traditionally depict saints. In case there were any doubt about the purpose of the memento, a note was scrawled on the packaging in large letters and bright red ink instructing troops that it was “for prayers.”

Credit Suisse 'inexplicably terminated' Senate investigation into Nazi-linked accounts: report

The United States Budget Committee announced on Tuesday that Credit Suisse, a major international investment bank headquartered in Zurich, "inexplicably terminated" an investigation into "allegations levied by a human rights organization that the bank held potential Nazi-linked accounts and failed to disclose them, even during Holocaust-related probes decades earlier," Reuters reported as the world recognized Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Credit Suisse, which initiated the probe at the behest of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, "defended its internal review in a statement, saying that the probe turned up no evidence to support key claims from the Simon Wiesenthal Center that dormant accounts serviced by Credit Suisse held assets from Holocaust victims," noted Reuters.
Axios explained that "Credit Suisse has agreed to expand the scope of its review, the senators said, and AlixPartners will perform 'a supplementary review' to address some of the still-unanswered questions — such as the value of assets in some of the post-war Nazi accounts."

Leakers Reveal Kremlin Secretly Panicking Over Putin’s Arrest Warrant

“This is essentially a call to overthrow the government in Russia,” one official reportedly said at a special meeting to address the arrest warrant.
The Kremlin is panicking behind the scenes about the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for alleged war crimes, according to current and former Russian officials who spoke with The Moscow Times.

Just after the ICC announced the arrest warrant, issued over Putin’s alleged involvement in illegally deporting children from Ukraine and kidnapping them, the Kremlin organized a special meeting to discuss Russia’s response, according to the report.

Is Russia Covering Up an Assassination Attempt on Putin?

A drone that crashed outside of Moscow earlier this week was packed with 17 kilos of explosives meant to take out Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a new report.

The German news outlet Bild, citing unnamed sources, claimed Thursday that Russian authorities are trying to keep the failed attack by Ukraine a secret. The alleged attack, according to Bild, took place on Sunday, when Russian media reported that a drone had crashed in a village not far from the Rudnevo Industrial Park, where the Russian leader was rumored to be planning a visit.

It remains unclear if Putin really was meant to visit Rudnevo that day. Equally unclear is how, if there really was such an assassination attempt, Ukrainian authorities could have known the Russian leader’s movements.

Yuriy Romanenko, a Ukrainian activist, had tweeted a day after the drone crash claiming there was much more to the story than that which had been reported.

“Last week, our intelligence officers received information about Putin’s trip to the industrial park in Rudnevo. Accordingly, our guys launched a kamikaze drone that flew through all the air defenses of the Russian Federation and fell not far from the industrial park,” Romanenko claimed at the time.

The claims come amid heightened fears in Russia of Ukraine taking the war to Russian territory after a series of drone attacks in recent weeks. Overnight Thursday, Russians in and around St. Petersburg woke up to the sounds of an explosion that reportedly left a massive crater at the site of an old thermal power station.

The Investigate Committee confirmed the blast after residents of Russia’s second-largest city flooded social media with panicked messages about the blast. Investigators say the explosion in Pavlovsk, about 19 miles from St. Petersburg, was caused by an “unidentified device” at the site of an old, unused thermal power station.

Now why would they assassinate Putin when he's been dying of so many different ailments over the past few years?

Reports have diagnosed him with cancer, dementia, Parkinson's, etc.

Why wait? Christmas comes early sometimes.

"The Russian special vessel SS-750 was near the Nord Stream pipes four days before the pipes were blown up on September 26 last year. The special vessel is designed to carry out operations under the sea and has a mini submarine of the AS-26 Priz type on board.

The Norwegian Defense Command confirms in a response to a document inspection that 26 photos of the Russian vessel were taken from a Danish patrol boat that was in the area east of Bornholm on 22 September 2022.

"It's incredibly interesting. The SS-750 is a special vessel that is designed precisely for underwater operations,' says the Swedish researcher, Russia expert and intelligence expert Joakim von Braun.

Jacob Kaarsbo, who is a senior analyst at the think tank Europe and previously worked for 15 years in the Defense Intelligence Service, believes that the information "sheds light on what was going on in the area in the days before".

"The SS-750 is the most interesting vessel to confirm, because we know it has the capacity to carry out such an operation," says Jacob Kaarsbo.

Information has previously revealed that the Norwegian Defense Command is in possession of 112 images of Russian vessels in the area. But this is the first time that the defense has confirmed that it is the specific Russian vessel SS-750 with the mini-submarine on board.

At the same time, the Norwegian Defense Command refuses to provide access to the photos of the Russian special vessel, as the photos are "of an intelligence nature" and "are part of the intelligence work".

Several Russian naval vessels
The German media T-Online and the open source intelligence analyst Oliver Alexander have previously described that the special vessel SS-750 was one of a total of six Russian naval vessels that may have been in the area in the days leading up to the blasting of the pipelines. They based this, among other things, on information from anonymous sources and satellite images that showed that SS-750 had left the port of Kaliningrad at the same time as, among others, the vessels Aleksandr Frolov and SB-123.

These satellite photos, along with AIS data from a tugboat, indicate that SS-750 sailed from Kaliningrad at 00:22 on 21 September 2022. AIS transmitters are typically used by larger vessels to supplement radars. They send signals about the ship's name, number, direction, draft and speed and can thus be used to map the movement of vessels.

The SS-750 sailed even without the AIS on. However, the tug Alexandr Frolov had its AIS on when departing from the Russian naval port. AIS data from this vessel shows that the convoy of naval vessels headed for Bornholm, but north of Poland the tug's AIS was also switched off. Until now, it has been assumed that the SS-750 and the five other vessels continued to the area where the Nord Stream pipes were blown up a few days later.

Now the Defense Command has confirmed that the SS-750 was observed in the area.
