Congrats to a guy who played over 20 years in the league.

By the Time I Get to Phoenix I'll still have time to get a beer, nachos and sit down before the puck drops.

Really hard to get excited about Shane Doan and his seven goals as a Jet...  he's basically THE symbol of Jets 1.0 abandoning Winnipeg...

Doan is one of the most overrated NHL players to ever lace up his skates.

The Art Monk of the NHL....  played "good" for many seasons but was never elite.

I really like how aggressive Phoenix is on the pk. Exactly how I think it should be done. Hate the passive collapsed pk.Drives me nuts.

Completely agree.  We give up more space 5 on 5, than the Coyotes do on the PK.

Maurice really does struggle coaching against fast teams. 

Jets aren't playing bad tho. Just a bad break on the 2nd goal.

AZ retires Doan's number.

Chiarot scores the winner on his own net.

 

It's tough to win a game when they retire a number. The odds were against us.

FWIW Laine's brought his plus/minus woes to the top line. All -3.
