Nugent-Hopkins, anyone ?

Nope.

Speaking of coming home, could lightning strike twice with the Blues and Alex Steen be plucked by Chevy? Or would he just be another older Bryan Little?

How about Schenn, who the jets have had interest in before?

Dont see it. Blues are in a playoff battle themselves. Dont think Schenn fits that pass first center they want.

Sounds like he just wants to play.  Here or another team.

Exactly this. Had a chance to meet him and chat last month. All he wants to to is play and contribute. Has the hunger in his eyes. Not saying I think he has what it takes to be an everyday NHLer but he has more hunger than some more talented, larger players exhibit.

Hope he gets his chance with someone. Sounds like a good guy and has a lot of talent.

I can really see Petan playing in Europe in the next 2-3 years.

Maybe he can join Burmi in the KHL. I see Postma is there now.

+ Petan + Myers.

Now I like Myers but he's not signed hence he will be traded.

" The Jets have shown recent interest in Kevin Hayes of the New York Rangers "

FWIW 6'5" 216lb, 43 games, 11g 25a. faee offs 48.3%

who will we get for it though?

So we're trading Myers so we can get depth for a playoff run...  umm...

Maybe Myers just leaves in the summer and that's fine - who cares about getting a return just for the sake of it

Won’t trade Myers. You don’t trade pending ufa when you’re trying to win the cup unless it’s for an upgrade and I don’t see that.

If jets were out of the playoff hunt sure, trade him.  But they won’t.

Myers is the type of player you trade FOR at the deadline. Depth and experience.

What team is trading with the Jets right now for Myers? Jets will be making a deal with a non-playoff team and there is no way they'll want a rental d-man.

Also I'm thinking we haven't given up trying to re-sign Myers knowing our cap space will be a challenge with all our other contract negotiations and ones in place.

I just remember Myers saying in the summer there were no negotiations. Add to that his play at start of season...

I think Myers leaves - there's a pretty big market for Dmen - and the team prob has to free up $$ for Trouba

Strange how with Poolman's concussion - there could be a question mark on the right side next year

Matthews projected at $11.5 million for 5 years...  Leafs are headed for cap hell.

I can't see Myers staying. If nothing else, he probably doesn't see himself as a 3rd pairing d-man.

UFA then at 26.

Not really surprised.

Done now at those terms.

That's not bad business for Matthews. Leafs are paying top dollar for a LOT of RFA years.
