Ok, huge shout out to the Goldeyes organization. I expressed that we could no longer use our tickets tonight due to a positive COVID test in our household, and they exchanged them for another date. No

The problem with Montreal's stadium is they started to replace the roof so the stadium is out of use for approx 3 years.

What a bunch of ******* fans last night ******* with the OF to steal the ball mid play. Glad MLB stepped in to ban them from the stadium.

Recently, they had to stop the game because Dodger fans were throwing stuff at the Padres players. I just wish the same handwringing that has gone on for two fans, would also apply to the hundreds of Dodger fans.

Not following baseball for a while, could care less about any team (Go Spos) but my experience has been Bronx fans/Bleacher Creatures don't do much golf clapping in the stands.

Gerrit Cole has opted out of his contract with the Yankees though the Yankees can keep him if they give him more money. I'm  on the fence about this, my number one priority this off season is to keep Juan Soto in New York and not with the Mets. Cole is a great pitcher his injury set him back this year and he was very average.

Yankees decline option for Anthony Rizzo might go after the Polar Bear depending on how things work out with Soto and have a decision to make about Cole tonight. Blue Jays have apparently entered the convo on Soto but then again in the off season they are connected to all free agents.

Tampa Bays Rays will play the 2025 season at Steinbrenner Field formally known as Legends Field, Yankees will pocket 15 m. for the honour. Depending on what the Government does they may never play in Tropicana ever again

They will have to play at the Trop in 2026. The new stadium won't be ready for several years anyhow. 2028, I think?

This is most fair for existing Rays fans, as they can still go to the games. 11,000 seats is not to many.

People in charge may decide that 50-60m to fix Tropicana for a few years might be a waste of money considering once the Rays go to their new home it will have no use.

Insurance though. And, the City of Tampa must provide them a facility to play in, per the agreement.

Insurance wont cover all the expenses

Ppl who live there say that The Trop has no drainage system on the field. It rains lots there. It’s gonna be flooded if they don’t fix it soon.

Correct. It was designed as an indoor only facility, so no drainage.

I'm happy for the Rays fans who will continue to be able to attend home games but it's going to be a mess with rainouts and heat. I assume that the Tarpons will also use the facility next season too? Scheduling nightmare.
