Ok, huge shout out to the Goldeyes organization. I expressed that we could no longer use our tickets tonight due to a positive COVID test in our household, and they exchanged them for another date. No

The problem with Montreal's stadium is they started to replace the roof so the stadium is out of use for approx 3 years.

Lots of headlines leading into the pre-season:

Unsigned Free Agents are talking about holding their own spring training. MLBPA sued the MLB in the early 90s due to collusion over FA signings. I wonder if there's anything to this delay in the signings?

Pitchers and Catchers report in just about two weeks.

Reigning NL MVP and perennial All-Star, Giancarlo Stanton, will be in pinstripes this year. Woohoo!

Marlins have cleaned house and sold off their best and most expensive assets.

Blue Jays are struggling to fill holes and might struggle to compete in the East.

And many, many more.

I'm getting excited about this season.

I think the lack of movement on the FA market is a result of next years huge class teams don't won't to tie up big money this year and not have flexibility for next year.

Actual first pitch of the year was a HR by Ian Happ going to be a good year on the north side go Cubs go. Will be a long year in Toronto. Rogers Centre will have crowds of 25,000 by June.

Blue Jays have lost 35% of their season tickets from last year, the season ticket count for this year is 13k so a bad start and those small crowds will happen sooner than later, my take away from today's opener .................Giancarlo.

Rosenthal lol. Hes a reporter.

I must have read that wrong

Jays take pennies on the dollar for Osuna, about the best they could do considering the scenario

The Jays fire sale continues's as Loup and Axford both gone, Shapiro gonna strip this team down and rebuild.with the players he wants and thinks will get them to the top,

And in a weird coincidence Part 1 -  WASH lost to HOUS 159-158 in the NBA in the 3rd highest scoring game ever.

And in a weird coincidence Part 2 - For the first time in history, out of the four major professional leagues, Kawhi Leonard and Stephen Strasburg are the first players from the same university to be named postseason MVP in the same season.

FYI = For the first time in World Series history, the road team won the first six games. According to ESPN Stats and Information, the road team had never won the first six games of a postseason series in the history of M.LB., the N.B.A. or the N.H.L. — until now. There's never been a World Series in which the road team won every game — until now.
