Andrew Harris 1000/1000 Watch

He did well this last game (Edmonton)

Rushing: A. Harris (8 CARS, 54 YDS, 1 TD)

Receiving: A. Harris (9 REC, 81 YDS)

Did some quick math on what he needs to do the next 5 games.

Rushing  793 5 41.4
Passing  718 5 56.4

Think he'll do it?  This last game he got a TON of screens (I think we tried at least 5-6 screens in that game) and most of them had big gains.

The focus on this record has to be the receiving. If the Bombers are up late and killing the clock, then the rushing attempts and yards will come in garbage time, on top of whatever "establish the run

I think he is referring to the playoff bonus money they can make, and not wanting to jeopardize a playoff run with the potential of an injury in a meaningless game for the sake of a record. BTW,

  • I don't mind TSN pumping Harris' possible 1000/1000 season at all. We need to celebrate the extraordinary talent in the league instead of drooling over the often bizarre NFL "superstars".

Now at 819 rushing/783 receiving. On pace for 1,053/1,007.

Gawd, I hope so. But we really need Nichols on the field to keep producing those yards. #FingersCrossed

The other way to look at it would be that without NIchols they'd have to rely on Harris MORE. Though Lapo didn't really do that vs. Hamilton, so who knows.

In theory anyway.

Needs 184 receiving or an average of 61yrds a game.

And

129 rushing or an average of 43yrds per game.

Going to be close especially with Flanders out and having to rely on Harris more.

You know what happens when the passing game isn't as much of a threat.

I can’t see them playing Harris in that final game in Calgary. The last thing we need is for him to get hurt going for an arbitrary number.
