  • I wouldn't be surprised if they waived Peluso or Strait, I would be surprised if they waived Thorburn and I would be shocked if they waived Lowry and Pavelec.

  • Lol after two preseason games... the advanced stats crowd have been crying about him since the day he signed.  I lend no credibility to their opinion.

  • Lawless was right about Pavs.

How many games does Pavs see with the Moose?

If Helle or Hutch go down, do we call up Pavs or Comrie?

Comrie can't be too happy with Pavs coming to visit.

Think he reports?

They don't need to send him down for a while. He can stay with the Jets for 10 games or 30 days (I think those are the terms). But, he obviously can't play.

They can give the H's a run and see how they do. If it crumbles, they can activate Pav and send down one of the H's.

For 5/m a year he'll report.

Ya, 4.75m this season and if he doesn't report, he is suspended without pay.

Comrie will see way more action, Pavs will sit around until a trade or injury call up.

I can see a late season trade where a team isn't on the hook for all that money.

Ya, maybe at the TD if someone like Montoya goes down and the Habs needed a backup at 50% retained but I doubt it.

Helle and Hutch are here to stay. Pav is gone. If he reports to the Moose he won't be taking playing time away from Comrie. He will sit on the bench and occasionally when comrie needs a rest will play. Otherwise he's done for sure.

You think they call up Comrie in case of injury?

I think it would all depend on how well the uninjured goalie was playing.

For instance, goalie A gets hurt and goalie B is playing very well...call up Comrie.

Goalie A gets hurt and goalie B is playing poorly, call up Pavelec?

I'd call up Comrie...

They would call up Pavs and give Comrie all the starts he can handle with the Moose.

they'll be doing that anyway...
