Going on what he knew at the time, I'm sure he believes that and maybe he's right, For all anybody knows, Willy could be back next game. I dunno who he could be referring too, thought the D played pretty well for the most part, they just were on the field basically the entire second half but... with that said, I wonder if "some guys" refer to the defensive coordinator and the defensive coaches, stacking the box there trying to take the run away completely instead of concentrating on both the run and the pass, bombers stuffed the run pretty well when they were constantly loading the box, but what happened was they did it too much and glenn made them pay a few times, bombers adjusted a bit in the second half but by then, the O was non existent and the d got tired out for sure. I wouldn't call Sherman a liar but I thin what he might be doing is trying to direct the blame elsewhere, distraction? i dunno but i do know it worked cuz the bombers defensive coaches certainly schemed to stop the run a little bit maybe too much in the first half. The lions had a few rushing yards for sure, lots of that near the end when the game was over but what really hurt them was concentrating too much on the run and not enough on the pass, the pass really burned them last night actually, big gains for sure from Glenn all night long, not all night but certainly a few big plays of 30 yards or more from the pass, Defensive coaches probably got distracted a wee bit.

He didn't get help from his receivers because he couldn't get the ball to his receivers. True but when he did, there was a few drops for sure.

Wont' happen, we'll stand pat because all we have to do is "watch the film and fix mistakes." That's what all teams do but regardless, what's your point? you want some quick fixes to come in? I see people say yeah we need a MLB who just got cut from the NFL, a bighill type, in other words, we need one of the best if not the best MLB in the league.. yeah that seems likely to find in one week. Sunseri looked awful, but much like Brohm, he didn't get much help out there from his receivers. I was also amazed that the riders got called for holding a bunch of times today, saw those exact holds the last 2 games vs Winnipeg and not one was called. I can give Brohm a bit of the benefit of the doubt, i'm not sure what people were expecting, a guy with one pass thrown all year to come in gold and what? light up one of the best D's in the league? But Sunseri has had reps and had a week of practise to prepare. Odd that the Riders sat FORD today, that 3 headed running monster became a 2 and SASKs oline looked quite average today. Good to see the riders get whooped though. I'm not even sure Durant would have made much of a difference to be honest, the riders just looked terrible across the board.

With the team on the bye week now, I'd suspect Willy maybe misses one week, just got this feeling it's not as bad as some are speculating.

Sucks more for SASK and WPG who do not have that capable veteran backup like BC (GLenn was their starter anyway this year) and Calgary have.

Gotta admit, my mom was watching this game and she said at the half, the stamps will come back and win cuz that's what really good teams do, i'm like NAH, argos got this, stamps looked awful, but sure enough.. they come back and win. Anyway, got a kick out the guy kicking the calgary player in the spaldings, that was rather amusing. Sure he got kicked out of the game, but that was pretty entertaining. What a great game though and didn't cut in to the bomber game at all, the bomber game started when that game ended pretty much. THey just delayed the start of the bombers/lions game a bit.

and really, the vast majority of the lions running game happened in what i'd call garbage time, It was at the end when the game was very obviously over. The bombers D just said screw it and really, i couldn't blame them. They were on the field so much the second half that it had to start wearing on them, valiant effort by the D tonight, the O though looked good when Willy was in, but the second he got hurt, it was lights out for sure. Lions put up some running numbers for sure but most of that was in the last 3 or 4 minutes of the game... When the game was over. The game was actually over when Willy got hurt, but... reality is they had chances to score points in the third and even in to the 4th, d kept stepping up at times and giving the O chances to put points up, the O failed though. 3 first downs the entire second half? Yeah, thats the real problem. But to be somewhat expected when your starting QB goes down in a game and your backup has thrown 1 pass all season and that was in game 1.

Apparently prior to the game Walters was on the CJOB pre-show and mentioned they are looking for a defensive end, the name Alex Hall never got mentioned. Have to wonder why it wasn't. Do have to say, Did notice Mosely quite a bit today, maybe because of his number but he was around the ball lots.

I have to say this, When kuale was in the game, the lions didn't run as much, when Kuale got hurt, they ran lots and ran the ball down the bombers throats. Kuale with an eye injury, scratched cornea or something, that's when the run stopping really started sucking, when Kuale got hurt.

Willy hurt himself on that play, my parents and gf were like damn bc player landed on him but while that may be true, it was his right shoulder and that was the shoulder that got injured, the shoulder that he landed on going down on his own to avoid the big hit. The turf monster got him, got a few bc players tonight too.

Better not kid yourselves, Winnipeg is more important than anything in SASK. Gateway to the West and all, The Forks, The CMHR, we got lots of stuff here, we are a small city that was supposed to be big, they call us Chicago Jr and if anyone has ever been to Chicago, been there once and then go to the Exchange District in Downtown ish Winnipeg, you can see the similarities in the architecture and things like that. Regina? Man, it's tiny, it's basically Brandon with more people and a football team, But besides that... What does Regina have? Maybe the better Comparison is Winnipeg to Saskatoon but even then, Winnipeg is more important to Canada lol. It just is, This isn't blind homerism because I'm from the 204, it's because it's just true, In the big picture, Winnipeg is more important than any city in SASK. We matter more. We have more people, we have bigger buildings, we have more known landmarks, we have one of the most if not the most diverse population in Canada, largest french population outside of QUEBEC is St Boniface... we have more to do here too. World class zoo and museums and pro sports teams, we got a real pro sports team, CFL is great but NHL is the big time, when we got our NHL team back, we became a major league city.. It is what it is.

Brohm had no help though, the oline started sucking and a couple receivers flat out missed a catch or 2, watson for sure. I can't blame Brohm, coming in cold like that with zero reps at all this season, dudes thrown 1 pass, he looked good that first drive or 2 even, moved the ball but after the "flea flicker" things got a little ridiculous. Play calling was suspect for a qb without any real reps this season. Willy probably has a separated shoulder, could swear they popped it back in place on the bench, if it was anything worse, he probably wouldn't have been out there in street clothes the entire second half, i'm thinking separated or bruised

Well, when you keep going 2 and out in the second half, eventually the defence is going to wear down and thats what happened. This game was over the second Willy got hurt, not blaming Brohm, pretty tough to come in like that with 1 pass thrown all year, but the game was over the second willy got hurt.

Should clarify lol, don't really like the riders, i dislike them quite a lot, I just dislike other teams in the league more.. although do have to admit, rider fans are a bit more obnoxious, the whole Canadas Team stuff and best fans in the league crap wears thin for sure, I'm just curious if Rider fans are the ones saying that or if it's TSN just hyping it a bit too much. Unless the games impact the bombers, If the riders are playing Edmonton, Toronto,Hamilton and Montreal.. Go riders. (however this week, be nice if the cats beat them down) (eventho in the big picture, the game has little impact on the bombers, riders have the season series so really Winnipeg needs to win one more game than sask to beat them in the standings (probably won't happen) ) Just if the bombers aren't competing, then hey... Go Riders. We are more similar than people care to admit actually. I don't really care if people like the riders or not, and in reality, i don't really like them either, I just i guess, i dislike them less than i do some of the other teams. Where is the best place to watch a game other than Winnipeg? Probably Regina. Loud crowd with a great atmosphere. Take that over Toronto,Hamilton,Montreal, Deadmonton, Calgary,BC,Ottawa any day of the week.

Don Unamba: With a couple of post-game stats corrections for ST tackles, Unamba has risen to #2 in the CFL with 14 in 11 games. That's an interesting little tidbit, 14 special teams tackles in 11 games. Solid production. Can understand why he's on the roster.

There was big time pressure on Willy from Marshay Green. That's why the ball was under thrown and probably why he threw into double coverage. I agree. People need to watch the replay again and see the guy pretty much right in Willys face as he's throwing the ball. Had to scramble around a bit too so he didn't take a sack earlier in the play. It wasn't just step up and throw, it was step up, scramble a bit, throw with a guy in his face.

Depending on where we pick, I think i'd lean towards OLINE and Dline in this years draft. I'd love to get Demski but don't think that's likely with how poorly other teams have been playing, I don't see demski dropping to below 5 and i don't see any eastern teams finishing with a better record than the bombers plus Our National depth at receiver is pretty strong and NO, we are not trading Watson, people should just stop saying that already, it's not going to happen. BEST oline or dline available in my opinion.
