the second goal on pav was soft but the last one was a 2 on 1 pretty much, not sure how somebody could say that last goal was soft when 9 out of 10 goalies wouldn't have stopped it either. Hutch let in a few soft ones vs the flames and didn't see any comments there. Pav was the reason the team got one point and almost the reason they got 2. Say what you want but... penalties are killing this time, didn't Vancouver score on the powerplay? at one point, vancouver had more shots on the powerplay than the jets did in the entire game. Blaming PAV? crazy really.. guy played very well. That second goal was a bit weak but... announcers seemed to think it deflected off chiarots stick in front of him... the last goal tho? 2 on 1 in OT and it's a weak one? Can blame Buff for that one more than PAV as buff pinched up on the play and got caught and fell down.

No team would build around kane, he's a winger. If he was a center or D man, teams would build around him but he's not, he's a third liner at this point and time.. He's had chances with Scheif on the second line and other players in the past too and has yet to show he is the player some people believe he can be. He is talented no doubt but... what he seems to lack the most is intangibles, like hockey IQ, that's an important thing to have, he seems to lack it. He has been playing well lately tho and i really don't know if he wants to be here or not, i don't even care if he wants to be here or doesn't want to be here, that's really irrelevant.... but if his off ice issues (yeah issues) cuz this isn't the first time in his Jets career that he has been healthy scratched for off ice issues is a distraction to a team in a playoff hunt, then well it's best to move on from him sooner rather than later. Yeah he may yet turn in to that 30 goal scorer, consistent 30 goal scorer, i have my doubts he ever does tho cuz it seems for all that "natural" talent he has, he's got a 10 cent brain..

Kane doesn't have a no trade Clause tho so we could trade him to buffalo if they made the best offer

Buff is a liability defensively and has not been the same since the all star game. One of him or Ladd need to go cuz the team hasn't won anything together yet and haven't made the playoffs. Buffs age and salary demands probably don't go with what the jets are building. Building with youth. Buff won't be the same buff in a couple seasons. Are we legit contenders? Don't think so. Will we be soon? No. Trade buff while he still has value

hate to say it cuz i don't really think Kuale gets it either but.. football politics does play a role i think... One would have to assume that Hall was the guy that said to get rid of Kuale, and if ETCH was still DC, maybe Kuale still would be here. So i suppose in a way, that is football politics but the guy should probably understand that he isn't just being cut because the DC changed, although it probably does have something to do with it.

Yeah they did but for the longest time, they were just going on and on about the foot locker thing, finally mentioned it a couple times yes but... i'd suspect it was mainly due to the people on twitter letting them know that. It almost seemed like they were told not to mention he played in the CFL actually.. but yes they did mention it a few times later on after going on and on and on about foot locker for a guy quarter or so.

Buff and Enstrom looked bad, Chiarot didn't look as good, Bogo obviously struggled but the Jets pretty much dominated the Stars, I'd be more concerned about this little losing streak if we were getting dominated ourselves, we aren't tho, we are just taking way way too many penalties... bunch of different guys too taking pretty bad penalties, bogo yes but he wasn't the only one, perreault took a dumb one, buff did too, few other guys also. Bogo seems to be getting the blame cuz his was pretty selfish but the reality is... stars were 4 for 8 on the powerplay.. Reality seems to indicate that if we take penalties, we will lose, we don't and we will win. Bogo took 2 penalties but.. seemed like Perreaults penalty actually started the downfall of the team... The Jets dominated 5 on 5 tho.

Enjoyed see Matthews have a big game, good guy and deserves a real shot to show what he can do, was somewhat pissed about NBC not mentioning him being the CFL rookie of the year, they were talking like they just scouted him at a foot locker or something when in reality, he was playing in the CFL. He might have been working at foot locker in the off season but no doubt the seahawks were aware of him due to his CFL time. They finally mentioned it tho, probably due to Twitter and everybody on there pretty much mentioning Matthews played in the CFL. Was cool to See Matthews vs Browner (another former CFL player) matched up later in the game too.

Yeah, was just gonna mention that, Miles seems to be a DB coach and we already have one apparently, i mean, was knox officially announced as the db coach? Or was that just a CJOB thing? is it official that he is the db coach or could he be something else? Not sure there is a spot for Miles here, i still would like to have him here too but... DL? nah, LB? doubt it.. defensive assistant? makes sense i suppose... special teams coach? Unless we can Tracy or he becomes a positional coach like DL or LB instead, not sure i see where Miles fits.

Personally, all the ads on ourbombers got a little crazy, posted there a few times, not often but did have an account and for the most part, i found, quite honestly, just like this site but it's way better, that most of the same people were on the bombers official site and said the same stuff there as they did on OB. com Guess, maybe the mod banning people left right and center didn't help but surely there are other reasons. The simplest reason, this site and the official site are just better.

I think it's more likely buff gets traded in the off-season, only because he would return more in a deal. Trading bogo for a rental is crazy. I guess, if we are trading guys cuz they took penalties that lead to dallas goals last game, perreault, chiarot and buff too. Maybe Slater and Little also, we took 8 penalties that game so 7 guys should be traded. Bogo for a rental? Chevy would be fired immediately and rightfully so.

Watson was nothing but a professional and class act both on and off the field in his time here. It's unfortunate that he couldn't stay healthy but I'm not gonna knock a guy who basically puts his body on the line for my entertainment. Don't care why he may have wanted to be traded. It's irrelevant really.

Yup. They aren't free agents until the 10th and every year, the big names generally sign back with their current team and people freak out and say.. wtf, we lost out on this guy and that guy but reality is, never had a chance at them since they signed back. The process repeats itself every time free agency rolls around. There is a reason you don't really build your team in the CFL on free agency and there is a reason why the draft is so important to your success and how wasting picks and trading them away is a bad idea. The only way you get impact NI players recently is by drafting and developing them. Probably means we do go OLINE at 2, even if we somehow managed to snag Heenan, which i think is doubtful. Would be nice and did say i think we have as good of a chance as anyone if he makes it to the 10th but.. that's just wishful thinking. Reality is, it's unlikely most the guys "we want" even make it to free agency.

I think a lot of fans are speculating about Heenan not wanting to leave SASK. He might not really want too but he hasn't exactly come out and said that, maybe rider fans are just trying to tell themselves that he won't leave, he couldn't leave, he's a local boy who loves the riders... He might love the riders and the color green but... you know what else is green in color? CASH and i'll bet he likes that green more than the rider green. Someone offers him big money and my guess is he leaves in a second.

I still see Heenan possibly leaving the riders. I think Taman has covered his bases here with the watson and emery trades. I dunno tho, guess we will see what happens in the next week or 2 even. I think if Heenan makes it to free agency, we have as good of a shot, if not better at getting him than anybody else does. Call it a hunch or a gut feeling.

You want the GM to make the team stronger for sure but theres no guarantee that trading for let's say Winnik, since there has been interest in him, makes us any better than what we are but it could make us worse over the long term depending on what we give up to get him. I want a smart GM, a guy who will only pay so much and not overpay for what is obviously going to just be a rental, would suck to give up a pick (dont think we move a first or second round pick tho) and a prospect who could turn in to something very good for a guy who more than likely will be gone once free agency hits. I would give up a 3rd for winnik, maybe a 3rd and postma or burmistrov depending on how the Jets feel about him and nothing more.

Just like Holmes signed with the Argos today, Heenan could sign with SASK tomorrow or b4 free agency begins even. Who says he wants to stay in SASK? Has he come out and said that? If so, what's the point in even trying to sign the guy if it's a foregone conclusion that he will sign back with the Riders. Seemed like lots of folks believed Holmes would go back home to Ottawa and he didn't. If these guys don't make it to free agency, Holmes didn't, Heenan still might sign with SASK before free agency begins, what could Walters do really? No pressure at all. Not until Free Agency Officially begins. If Heenan makes it to free agency and we give him a big money offer and he still goes back to SASK, what could you do really? Nothing. Free agency in the CFL is interesting for about 5 minutes, It's actually interesting up until all the guys the fans want the bombers to go after sign back with their original clubs before free agency even begins. As for Heenan and the Riders, if he signs there, he signs there, what can you do really but... 3 NI receivers and Emery +3 starting Canadian oline = 7 starters. Getzlaf at 225k? He'd have to be released and i doubt that would go over well in SASK.. he's a local boy. At 225k, what team would trade for that contract?
