  1. Tanev's potential is probably 3rd line winger but on the Jets, who are stacked with forward depth, he's a 4th line winger for sure. You can't have 4 scoring lines, That's not how it works, you can have 3 but 4? I dunno, you need guys who can PK and do things of that nature, this is where guys like Tanev,Burmistrov,Dano etc come in to play, They are good players but what gives them a chance to make the team is they are also guys who can play on the PK... the PK wasn't good enough last season, neither was the PP, part of that is scheme but part of it is talent also... If the Jets can improve the PP and the PK... they will make some people take notice and realize, holy crap, this team is pretty good. Jets were very good 5 on 5, it was their special teams that killed them and goaltending, especially pavelec and hutchinson, pavelec more so tho, he wasn't good, not good at all... Fix those 3 issues and this team will be very very good. Tanev,Burmi,Dano very well could be our 4th line this year. I highly doubt Dano is sent to the Moose, i just don't see it. Like i've said for a while, i expect to see a trade or 2 cuz right now, we got to many forwards actually, a couple need to go for sure.
  2. Neufeld is in a walking boot apparently. Leggett isn't hurt, just taking a day off. Jace Davis is sick, feeling under the weather. Randle is the biggest loss for sure. The rest? I honestly think we might be better off especially with Neufeld hurt on the Oline, means Bond probably gets a start Bryant,Chungh,Goossen,Hardrick,Bond. Couture OL i'm sure. That's probably the best bet, I'd hope so at least.
  3. I think part of the reason that we've seen a dink and dunk type of O is because our OL is bad and our OC and O coaches for that matter recognize these guys aren't good and are telling our qbs to make the quick short pass
  4. Masoli was good but he certainly got a ton of help from guys like fantuz and Owens who made quite the ridiculous catch
  5. I think Bond at tackle for Neufeld Once Keeping is healthy Bryant Chungh Keeping Goossen Bond might be a good thing
  6. His injury really killed his career here
  7. Darrell Hackney. Showed up like 50 pounds overweight.
  8. If the one got called pi the one where the rider player actually prevented the Redblacks receiver from going for the ball should have been. They either both are or aren't. Campbell couldn't complain.... he was out of challenges
  9. Tornadoes have more touchdowns in winnipeg than Willy does this year
  10. Honestly. I don't think any of us know. I think its impossible for us to know when it's pretty obvious the refs don't even know
  11. I'll just say this... on the list of guys I'd get rid of... wade Miller is closer to the bottom of that list than he is to the top. I don't think he's a problem. I think for the most part he's done a Damn good job as president. If the argument is he hired kyle Walters.... well... that's a weak argument in my opinion because eventho it looks like perhaps Walters was a mistake.... I really can't think of much else if anything awful or even bad he's done. It's 99 percent good
  12. I wish it would also. Seriously... he's the exact reason why the ignore function was created. More people need to use it
  13. What's a pi and what isn't? Can someone explain that please? I don't think anyone can tho and that's a huge problem
  14. Think Wade has done more good than bad. He's president and yeah he hired Walters but really besides that he's done lots of good. Wade isn't the guy on the field coaching the team and he isn't the gm. Not sure why we'd even consider firing wade Miller actually
  15. Desjardins might get the credit but it's the other Brock finding these guys. Sunderland and Jensen please for the bombers Jensen could probably knit a sweater in the pocket tho. Man he gets lots of time.
  16. Why no Dominique Davis option??? Think Nichols is ok to come off the bench but wouldn't be opposed to seeing Davis play, mobile qb with a good arm.
  17. I don't disagree. Last night was interesting tho, we get within 8 points and the next drive, calgary marches at will and puts the dagger in us, the D played really good the second half but then folded and played soft when it mattered, that's on Hall.. the O's problems, that's on Lapolice and Willy for the most part. I'm not saying MOS isn't to blame and the buck doesn't stop with him cuz it certainly does but naming LAPO or Hall coach right now would also be rewarding failure.
  18. Yeah but... does firing the coach make the team better? does it put more asses in the seats? Probably not. This board is a blood bath at the best of times... i don't think and i'm guessing the majority of us who stuck around to the end last night are on this board but.... at the same time, The team needs to win, firing MOS probably doesn't help that. I just don't have the confidence right now in Lapo or Hall to do any better... I just don't see how they could do any better. I dunno, media speculation? Not really ,lawless pretty much came out and said MOS will not be fired and they aren't even thinking about it right now... The team isn't winning right now either... but i don't see them winning with LAPO or Hall as coach/oc/special teams/ dc/coach/ etc
  19. Speaking of which... I was at the game last night and we did go to the bomber store during half time to get something for the 20 month old and didn't get back until maybe 4 minutes in to the third quarter but when did they honor Gerry James?
  20. I voted NO. I don't think they are even considering firing MOS at this time, Whens our first bye week tho? That's a possibility. I don't think it's at that point yet tho, should it be? that's another question. Is it? Probably not. Personally, i just don't think firing MOS accomplishes anything at all. It's a PR move at best and i don't think firing MOS changes anything about the team. They are just fundamentally broken, i dunno how else to say it, but something is broken with this team from the TOP right down to the last guy on the PR... something ain't right and firing the coach mid season won't change anything. I guess at this point, i'm fine with MOS and crew getting to the end of the season to turn things around, if they don't, well, the whole crew can get packing.
  21. It also gives the Bombers the chance to be lazy and say... hey look what LAPO or HALL did... and then keep them around for next season as Coach eventho, perhaps they don't deserve to be.
  22. I don't think it's completely on O'shea. I think it's to easy to blame O'shea in all this. I think the O's struggles are on a OLINE who isn't very good, mixed with play calling that leaves a lot to be desired and receivers who just aren't getting open consistently. I'm not convinced these O players are being put in the best position to succeed. I'm not sure that's on Oshea or if it's on Lapolice or the Oline or the Receivers or just everyone. This team really sucks tho, there is a problem, It's not just 1 guy either, it's never one guy... I don't give a crap if they fire O'shea or whoever, i just don't think firing MOS is gonna change anything at all.... I don't see how it could, i don't see how lapo who can't get the O to conistently move the ball or Hall who can't get his D to stop playing so damn SAAWWWFFFT changes things if they are head coach. Drew Willy hasn't been very good either but last night when Nichols went in, outside of that 1 drive where he made 2 throws, he had the same problems WIlly had... it's scheme issue, it's a player issue, it's a combination of many many things.
  23. Pretty much. What's the point really.
  24. Honestly... keep Walters. Keep O'shea. Keep em all and then fire them all at the end of the season. Walters can go. O'shea can go. They all can for all I care
  25. To be honest.... Nichols came in during garbage time.
