Gagner really has dropped off his production big time recently, He's a victim of the Oilers rushing a player who probably wasn't ready at the time. It's unfortunate cuz the guy has some skill, quite a bit of it actually, But... that contract i guess and his production = nobody will take a chance.

I feel the government should probably just say, yeah you know what, forget about the loan. I don't know. I really think it's kind of silly they have to pay it off.

He did all that here 2. Really good guy when it involves kids or charities. Questionable when it comes to other things tho. I do think when he was here the media was after him but he certainly didn't help his case at times. Guy loves attention. At what point is he considered a bust?

Iso. Aren't you living in Alberta or something. No offense or anything here but unless you live in winnipeg you really have no clue as to how our media operates. Friesen in particular has made a career out of being the whining always complaining douchey guy. It's not new. It's his shtick. Seriously just bringing up the name Paul Friesen here shows a crazy lack of understanding about the guy and how he operates. Friesen isn't gonna give you in depth questions and answers. He's gonna give you basically his opinion with half quotes thrown in that fits his painfully obvious very ridiculous agenda. For years years oh so many years. ....ed Tait has been the only guy that actually gives in depth answers to his questions. You talk about respect is a 2 way street.... it sure is and Friesen gets none because he gives none. That's reality. His reality is he'd rather make stuff up to fit his agenda. Basically Paul Friesen is a huge joke and I'd say 99 percent of the city knows it. He's a prick.... always has been. Always will be. Don't matter if it's MOS or anybody really.... Umm. We have 3 offensive d men who are all right handed. Signing Ladd and trading Buff makes sense when you think about it. Trouba. Myers or Hamonic is still a solid 1 2 rhd pairing. You look at the LW depth tho and Ladd Perreault. Who else. Thorburn and Halischuk? Yup. LW depth is weak. Rhd depth is strong so yup trading buff makes sense. Connor is a prospect who is still probably a year away. Ehlers Plays the right side. LW depth is weak. Ladd is still on pace for over 20 goals.

Probably but I'm not sure that the jets would have interest in him. He's a center. Him and Scheif are similar... Scheif better defensively tho. I'm not sure that I see the need for another center tho. He doesn't play the wing. I think Eberle or yakupov tho would be 2 guys of interest to the jets. Maybe Eberle more so since he's a somewhat proven goal scorer. And b4 people chime in with the you wouldn't get Eberle or Yakupov plus a first for Buff.... I'll bet you would. .... RNH eh. I guess maybe if it's Buff Burmi going to Edmonton. That might get you RNH and the 1st. Trust me... Buff will get more than ppl think he will. A first is a given.... no doubt about a first..... I'm thinking if they want buff enough.... Eberle yak or RNH plus that 1st would get it done.

Rumors are also the way trades get started. a pretty reliable source says the Oilers are calling about Buff and apparently, they aren't on his no trade list... Buff seems like a guy who would put places like Toronto or Montreal, NYR, Philly, places like that on his no trade list, the big market places, he seems to like the small market teams, also doesn't hurt that Edmonton like Winnipeg is known for having some good outdoors stuff... Buff lives on Lake of the Woods, he's a Canadian at heart, an outdoors type of guy. I'll bet people would be surprised to learn the places on Buffs no trade list, i believe it's only 5 places and i'd be willing to bet just about anything that those 5 places are very big markets.

It will also depend on other things 2, Let's just say we get the 1st overall pick this year... Auston Matthews is the no brainer pick, He's a center Matthews,Scheif as 1 2 center moving to the future would be very nice, where does that drop little? 3rd line center? Wing? I dunno. Lots of variables to take in to account... Crazier things have happened but say we pick 1st and by some luck, with the buff or ladd trade or enstrom trade, we manage to get another top 3 or top 5 pick and we take a guy like Matthew Tkachuk. Man in a perfect world, that's what happens... Matthews and Tkachuck this year... Then you can reunite Tkachuk,Matthews and Roslovic... You can go Ehlers,Scheif,Wheeler.. You can bump Perreault down to the third line with Lowry and ?? 4th line of Lemieux,Copp,Lipon. LHD is still an issue but... If you move Myers for Hamonic, Buff gets traded.... Trouba,Hamonic as a 1 2 RHD group is nice The LHD group is weak but.....Morrissey and maybe in a buff or ladd deal you get a guy like Theodore from Anaheim or a Werenski from CBJ or something. Always could pick up a LHD man during free agency too. You know, the luxury of being a Canadian team, we don't really need to WIN NOW.. it would be nice but.... we can do a rebuild of sorts and be fine... All we really need is that 1 superstar and that's why i think tanking this year... trade ladd,buff, enstrom etc... in the future, it would be for the best. I'd love to have a young team who will be good for a long time, i can deal with sucking for a year or 2 or 3... that's fine with me and i'm willing to bet most jets fans feel the same, if we suck for a couple years but in 3 years are a legit playoff contender instead of a bubble team, it's worth it.

Well, you got Buff in there and I'm not sure that i will say 100 percent but i'm 99 percent sure he won't be a Jet for very much longer.... Lots of those guys are prospects.... some will turn out, some won't... Roslovic on the 4th line seems wrong, the guy has #1 or #2 center or RW written all over him. That D core looks absolutely awful.. Chiarot on the second pair? Guy looks awful on the 3rd pair this year... Not sure his ceiling is as high as some thought it would be... It's really hard to look to the future and guess what the roster will look like... It's actually impossible... So many Variables really... What if we get the 1st overall pick this year? Where's Josh Morrissey, why are you so high on Niku and Kostalek? They were late late round picks, if 1 of them makes the NHL, that's a win... They both probably won't. Wheres Lowry? He's gonna be here a while... Where's Lipon? He's a guy that will probably be on the big club next season. Perreault? Not sure the Jets will sign him when his contract is up... why keep him yet no wheeler or little there?

So true. Penton has gone down hill fast. Very jaded, probably hanging out with Friesen 2 much. It's a shame cuz when Penton isn't being an overly negative guy, he's actually pretty good. I tend to find that the Metro writer (i believe it's bauming actually) is the best one of them all right now. The Metro is a very good paper too. Cuts out all the bs and just basically prints facts. Really solid actually. I believe Bauming is the guy that writes the bombers articles there.

Some rumors out there that the Oilers are very interested in Buff and are talking to the Jets about him. Not sure what it would take but... 2016 1st for sure and then what do they add? Cuz trust me, they add... Not interested in Yakupov or Schultz or guys like that personally.

Personally I think they will sign Ladd and trade buff and I think despite Ladds slow start probably due to his off season surgery... it will be the right move. Ladd takes a lot of heat but... he's a guy who plays through injuries and rarely misses a game and the fact that he built a house here and likes it here probably plays a factor. Our lw depth isn't good. Our rhd depth is. Buff will be traded and Ladd will sign

Oh and for the record, I don't really care to see any fantasy trades, I mean... how many times can you trade tyler myers who fits in with the actual youth of this team... Seems like it's pretty difficult to make trades this year.... so i'd rather avoid that..... I'd love to hear some discussion tho about what direction this team should be going in. Is it time to move on from the older core? Or do we pretend that 1 season making the playoffs in 5 or 6 years is good enough?

Mathews, Chychrun and Tkachuk are all game changers. Maybe even the Finnish kid also But regardless, It's time to pick a direction. Do you sign Ladd and Buff and continue to be a team that isn't good enough to make the playoffs or do you go semi rebuild and move ladd and buff and maybe others (enstrom comes to mind as a guy who might get a nice return also) and build around the scheifs, ehlers,troubas, lowrys types of players... Our season is done, it's over. This is where you see what Chevy and Chipman for that matter are all about, do they care about winning or are they still just excited to have a team back? I dunno. Personally, I'm moving on from Ladd Buff and Some others (Enstrom) and with Ladd and Buff, if need be to get a better deal, I'm willing to retain 50 percent of their salary for this season.... Opens up the bidding wars to more than a few teams that way. I think it's time to blow it up a little bit, i really do cuz i feel the best this team will ever be as it's currently constructed is a playoff bubble team.. I'm ok with this team sucking if it means that in a couple years we aren't sucking... i'm ok with a top 3 pick this year and next year... That's fine with me... You look at Edmonton,BUffalo, Toronto..You know what direction they are going... they are re-building around the youth... what direction is the Jets going? The older core might be too old when the younger core finally catches up to them... I just don't want to be a team that keeps picking in that 10-14 spot... I want to be a team who either consistently makes the playoffs or... i want to be that team that builds through the draft.. I've always thought this was a draft and develop team... Is it tho? What direction are the Jets going in? Now is this time to see what that direction is... I'm not sure you can justify hanging out to buff and ladd and some of the older core members of the team when in the last 20 games you are the worst team in the league... It's not a coaching issue, it might be tho, but i don't think it's a head coaching issue, I think this team lacks direction tho... and it's about damn time the people in charge (chevy,chipman) decide which direction they want to go.

Nothing. He works for the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy. Not really sure what that is to be honest. He's not an employee of the Jets exactly, He's an employee of their hockey academy... I believe it involves working with young kids in the city, i'm not sure tho.
