  1. About Ladd, I think he's fighting an injury still, he has to be. He's looked so bad that it has to be something. He's not fully recovered from his off-season sports hernia surgery or he has another injury that he playing through. I hope so at least, it's either that or his GAD level is ultra low and he's wanting to be traded cuz no way is the guy on the ice this year worth even close to 6 million a year for 6 years. Honestly, I'm not sure if he would even get that as a UFA seeing as how poorly he has played and how, well, his effort level just seems to be non existent most nights. Is he pouting cuz he hasn't been signed? I hope not, he's a pro and the captain. There has got to be something else going on there, for Ladds sake, i hope it's an injury cuz if it's not and he's just regressed that much in less than a year, not good. He looks almost done most nights. Ladd is seriously making a strong case as to why the NHL's contracts shouldn't be guaranteed, getting paid 4 million plus this year and is awful. Not worth it. Wonder how good hockey would be if these contracts these guys signed weren't guaranteed.
  2. First Lemmy, Now Bowie... Just terrible.
  3. Being a former goalie myself, I played AAA and i even played a couple years in the MJHL... Confidence does play somewhat of an issue. I'm not sure exactly how much but... It does play a role, I do think when NHL players say it, It's kind of cliche cuz i mean, just look at your bank account and that should fix your confidence issues but... it does play a role, I personally think it's minor however i will say that if something bad happened, for example, when i was playing for the Sharks (AAA), my grandfather passed away, was the first real time i had to deal with death, outside of a family pet dying and no doubt, it definitely made playing hockey a little more difficult. I remember that pretty well, my grandfather died and 2 days later i played a game, thinking, hey, what better way to get my mind off of this then to play.. Coaches said, you know, you don't have to play right, and i was like but i want 2. Well, i had a pretty crappy game, we lost 4 2 that game, i wouldn't say it was awful but...my head was definitely somewhere else and in hindsight, i probably should have told the coach that i couldn't play. Not sure that's a confidence issue tho as much as it's just dealing with a personal matter. We really have no idea what any of these players deal with in their lives on a daily basis, illness, injury, death... who knows. Maybe Hutch is dealing with an injury or personal matter or who really knows. Confidence? Not sure that's it cuz the guy has played relatively well most games, i guess just at times, the team in front of him folds faster than superman on laundry day and as a goalie, if your team is not strong mentally ( and i feel that the Jets aren't that strong mentally), as a goalie, it does affect you because, you are always thinking to yourself, i can't let in more than 1 or 2 goals a game other we will lose for sure. That does start to get to you a bit.
  4. Try 5 or 6 pieces. Do we have a top line lw? Left handed D? Bottom 6 ? Jets aren't contenders so I'm hoping for a top 3 preferably top pick in the draft
  5. Jets lack the top end talent. Outside of Wheeler who is more of a set up guy than goal scorer... they just don't have the talent right now
  6. Hutch was never great. He had a good stretch of games but since the all star break last year.... he's been terrible. With that being said I think he still has potential to be a good or better than pavelec nhl goalie. Plus he's younger and is paid less than pav. I don't think it's a confidence issue tho. He has deserved a better fate some games. I just think the team in front of him... well they just aren't that good. Maybe it's like Cam Talbot. Looked great playing for the NYR who played a very strong defensively sound game but not so much for the Oilers. Somewhere along the way thus team forgot what made them successful last year. Team D isn't the same and it's not cuz 1 or 2 players are different. It's an entire team thing.
  7. I'm not sure they outplayed them. Ya they out shot them but 40 of them were weak shots with no traffic at all aka easy saves. Jets didn't really have many what I'd call high percentage scoring chances and buffalo took over in the 3rd.
  8. Yawn. Time for a nap. What a crap game and crap crowd
  9. Buffalo has way better top 6 talent than the Jets do especially with scheif out.
  10. Man. And people complain when it's minus 10 or 15 here in November. 60000 people in Minnesota Watching that game in minus 40 almost. -6 farenheit is minus 21 Celsius. Windchill makes it -35. It's as cold there as it is here today and 60000 people filled that stadium.
  11. Social Outcast is correct and I kinda feel they were put together so the bullet club can destroy them. Nothing wrong with the job squad 2.0 tho.
  12. Yzerman apparently wants a young player similar to Drouin. The name Robby Fabbri from St Louis has popped up. Wonder if Petan would get it done. Tampa only has 2 million in cap space right now
  13. Larkin is a center. Connor is probably gonna be a LW with the Jets. 30 points for Connor in 18 games. So if he keeps the pace he will have Damn near 60 after 35 games
  14. Bogo actually said in his interview he didn't tell cox he asked to be traded. I do recall hearing that he wanted to be closer to home tho.
  15. Kane interview up on ctv and global. Just confirms he's a ****** lol. Bogo one also. Sorta get the feeling that he also asked to be traded.
  16. Track suits can't hurt you. Helmets can.
  17. I don't really care. People can wear what they want but with that being said.... does wearing a track suit in reality support kane? I mean he wore it to a team meeting and buff and others ripped it up and threw it in the shower. I just feel wearing a track suit supports kane. But ya it's harmless fun. Better than those suggesting to chant "no means no"
  18. 2 goals 3 assists 5 points for Connor tonight. Jets next season? Maybe but I'd suspect another year altho it's hard to say cuz he's really ripping it up pretty huge time. Basically on the Jack Eichel pace for NCAA rookies and he turned pro the next year so it's possible.
  19. Looks like the move to USA for Smackdown was a success Almost double the rating it got on Sci Fy
  20. Wow. Way less than 24 hours. Quick.
  21. Well said. Hutch flopped around like Pav. Not sustainable. Helle is a boring Positionally strong goalie. He won't have to make the amazing save cuz he will be there to stop it. He don't flop around like hutch or Pav
  22. Tracksuit night is a thing. But if people really want to piss Kane off they will ignore him and go dead quiet when he has the puck. Won't happen cuz people just love to egg the ****** on. Jets lose. Kane scores the winner
  23. I guess maybe people are used to pav flopping around like a fish on the ice trying to make saves. Helle is very good. He's our future and present. Ppl who know more than all of us say he's going to be an elite goalie for a long time. He's boring. Doesn't flop around .. isn't out of position like pav and Hutch for that matter. He's the only reason we aren't dead last in the league. His 5 on 5 save percentage is a remarkable 957. That's unheard of. He's a stud and the best goalie the winnipeg Jets have ever had. He's slow to react? He's outstanding with a gaa under 2 and a crazy save percentage. The guy has given up 2 or less goals in like 10 games.
  24. Report Card Style? K. Goalies Pav is a D + he is what he always has been. A below average starting goalie Hutch is a D. He had a chance to take the number 1 job and run with it and failed Helle gets an A +. He is the only reason we have as many wins as we do. D men Buff gets a B. He's been ok but he should always be an A but isn't. Inconsistent Myers gets a B. Putting up nice numbers and is starting to use his reach more. Trouba gets a B also. He was anchored with Stu for most the season. He's played much better with more minutes. Enstrom gers a C. He's just average in my opinion. Has lost a step and has been taking more penalties Stu. C -. He is what he is. Chiarot. D. expected more. Forwards Little gets a B. Looks lost without Ladd tho. Scheif. B +. Has exceeded my expectations and has become a very good 2 way center Lowry gets a C. Looked awful to start but is much better after being called back Copp gets a B. Yup. He's a 4th line center who is stong defensively and in the face off dept. He is doing his job. Wheeler gets an A +. What needs to be said really. He's our best player. Ehlers gets a B. He's a 19 yr old rookie who looks great when paired with other skilled players. Playing him with Burmi and thorburn really was bad for him. Burmi gets a D. Expected more. Thorburn is a C. He is what he is. Good 4th line guy. Ladd. D almost F. For a guy in a contract year he is playing awful Perreault. B +. Assist Machine. Stafford. B. Putting up nice numbers but struggles in his own zone. The rest aren't graded because they haven't played enough yet.
