Sometimes people just want to take a swing at an athlete. Hell I remember hearing stories in Brandon about people trying to take a swing at the tough guys on the Wheat Kings just to try and prove a point. Kane has a reputation as a tough hockey player, maybe this guy figured he either gets to brag about how he took a swing at Kane and Kane pussed out, or he gets his ass kicked and he sues this prick of a hockey player for assault. Yes thats possible but thats actually pretty rare. Plus, this guy was identified as an employee. The fact they knew each other to at least a minor extent raises the suspicion level in my mind. I dont get the "ring of truth" from Kane's story. But, the cops who investigated the matter were satisfied. End of story, no? Man, not gonna say names but a couple of my friends are cops k and the stories i could tell you about pro athletes being given the benefit of the doubt, even when its even apparent to the cop that they are guilty as sin... would shock you. I'l tell you this much, a couple friends let a couple pro athletes off the hook in 2011, (lots of jet players were real dicks that year). why did they let them go? cuz they gave them free tix or signed some stuff for them. This happens more often than anyone thinks too. Here, i'll just tell this one, involved my self and a few friends several years ago... we were getting high b4 going to see a movie at cinema city 8.. oh yeah the cheap theatre, the one friend was being a real ****.. we were sitting in the car, he was just going crazy for some reason, honking the horn, yelling out stuff to security at the mall.. "what you gonna do man, call the cops". The guy did call the cops, cops showed up... took a look at my ID, not saying im well known but the last name certainly is amongst police, my uncle is/was a cop.. cop looks at id and goes, oh do you know "insert uncles name here", i said yeah man, thats my uncle. They are like ok have a good night and left. Not saying that it's the same, it just gives you some idea that it's not always about what you do but who you know.

Pretty safe bet here Willy 1st half plus 1st series of the second.. Hall and Brohm split the remaining 3rd and probably 10 minutes of the 4th, marve gets the last 5 Marve is the developmental qb.. the #2 job is between hall and brohm, loser gets cut IMHO.

There is always the possibility that its true too, how about the truth being his motivation.

Id suspect.. cotton woods, garvin all still have chances to be the return man this season.

I remember the draft quite well, it's the one where after taking pencer they showed reed and tillman and they were high fiving, the proceeded to then take austin pasztor (sp??) with the next pick who has also not seen the CFL field yet. After that calgary took DL/DE ameet pall who was subsequently PR'd then take by another team(montreal??) Chambers was taken next. 2012 was a pretty crappy draft actually.

called saulsberry, saw no use for him with the way morley and goossen played. I almost want to say robertson got the aardvark kiss of death earlier in the year gatling? didn't notice him too much last game and the other DE/DL.. same thing. Didn't notice him at all.

This is awful. Apparently on average and this shocked me there is only 2 deaths per year involving cyclists. Shocking actually.. With the way some of the people in this city drive, i'm honestly shocked it's not way more. Condolences to his family and friends. That's just awful.

I think sometimes as fans, we don't want to believe that one of our beloved players could possibly be an actual ****. Is there any truth to this story? who knows, who cares really but... the fact is, these stories have followed kane around his whole career, this ain't just a since he got to winnipeg thing, the rumors have followed him around since he became a pro. It is what it is i guess. Generally, i tend to believe where there is smoke there has got to be some fire near by at least. Kane doesn't seem to be the most high character guy out there either so.. wouldn't surprise me if there is indeed some truth to this. All i know is, this is just another in a long long list of "rumors" that have followed kane throughout his career and more bad press for kane and by association, the jets. The jets won't stand for this much longer, i get the feeling kane is traded at or near the draft. Just causes too much drama i think, regardless if true, you don't hear about this stuff with any other jets player really.

poblah has all the talent in the world, but he seems to have a problem doing the one thing that receivers are supposed to do and that is catch the ball.

wood is versatile, can essentially line up at sb, rb, wr.. can return kicks, punts.. his versatility should keep him around for a bit.

brooks is apparently pushing volny. Volny is at the make it or break it stage also, does seem to have fumbelitis. If brooks shows well, volny could be sent packing.

man, was flipping back between the caps on mts at the girlfriends place and cbc for the rangers kings and the production value of that ahl game was just awful. All the stars players looked very very black. But can't complain that much cuz it was on. Too bad for the caps, hutch was outstanding again tho.

I thought i remember hearing edmonton wanted a first round pick back in their trade, they wanted chambers, we didn't have a first cuz we took kito in the supplemental draft the year before. We couldn't trade with edmonton for 2 because we didn't have a first round pick to give back to them. Not overly shocking though. Didn't look good on monday at all. Surprised a little bit that Kowalczuk is still on the roster though.

I like it, but i'd probably look at replacing halischuk. Not a huge fan, pretty small.. kind of injury prone a bit. Perhaps a kid from the rock could fill his spot or a free agent signing. Just not sure who.

I listened for a bit and didn't get that impression at all. What kind of stuff did he say that was 'borderline racist'? i didn't listen so i'm just going on what 2 sort of overly dramatic friends say but they mentioned he said something about all the last names and comparing it to being at folklorama, is that racist? probably not but... didn't hear it myself so i have no idea. Based on a couple of posts now, I think you need new friends. i guess i probably should have used the term "work friends", you know, guys you talk to at work but outside of work, not so much. Like i said though, they are a bit overly dramatic and tend to kind of over react to lots of simple things. Put it this way, last year i asked if they were gonna go to some bomber games, they said no, i said why not, looks like a beauty of a stadium.. they said, because we don't want to be there when the entire place falls down. Overly Dramatic to say the least. Work "buddies". Not guys i hang out with after work. Keep in mind, these guys are also well, they aren't spring chickens exactly and tend to complain about mostly everything. Hockey season, they complain about what don cherry says all the time, i personally never listened so, i was kind of shocked to hear that they thought that was borderline racist also. To me, honestly, it was kind of funny what walby said. I didn't hear it but... i laughed when they mentioned what he said and kind of got the evil eye for laughing. It is what it is.

i watched it again, and to me, it seemed hall made the right reads,got rid of the ball quickly, held on to it too long on one play and took a sack when he should have thrown it away, the oline gave him plenty of time on that one too, oline wasn't as bad as some made it out to be. I just think teams are well aware (even in pre-season) that hall is not very mobile at all, dude doesn't run, so it looked to me like at times, toronto was sending lots of guys when hall was in. Hall was the victim of a couple of bad drops, was the victim of a couple give ups by tarver, did over throw him once though and did under throw the ball a couple of times too, we are all aware of halls lack of arm strength, however, if you watch it again... hall wasn't that bad. He wasn't great but... he wasn't awful either. I'm still under the impression that if hall was working with denmark kohlert moore etc, that he probably would have had better numbers and looked a lot better than he did. hall did have lots of 2 and outs but again, it goes back to the drops, jaymar johnson there on the sidelines, easily would have been a first down if he stayed in bounds. Quite a few drops there when hall was in though for sure.

I thought there were quite a bit of good things. Willy looked better than anything we had last year, so did marve. The kickers were great. Denmark was awesome, Feoli Guidino made some nice plays, the oline wasn't as bad as the poster above(pigseye) is making it out to be, but as the game went on and the backups got in there.. yup they struggled a bit, to be expected though. Takes time for the oline to work as one, can't expect that to happen over night. The oline started to look worse when hall and brohm were in, is that fully on the oline or is it on the qbs that were in? cuz marve had a crap oline to work with and he made it work. washington, markett and randle all play well, teague shermans hustle play in the pre-season is a very good thing too. want to call that the lobendahn from now on tho.

nobody will touch richards contract even if LA keeps some of the salary which they wont. Not sure why you crapping on LADD either, he's been very good here so far, putting up lots of goals and points, very responsible defensively. Ladd is solid. Wish people would stop pretending he hasn't been.

LOL marchand would go for kane, it would be marchand scheifele wheeler for sure. a trade wont happen, i think he will be bought out, he has lots of term remaining on that deal, 6.75 or so a year, kings probably will buy him out, they will resign gaborik, muzzin is a soon to be free agent also. If they do, there is a good chance he comes here. I'll go on record saying IF the kings buy him out, he's a jet.

From guys like bauming and the media guys at training camp, marve has looked good there too. Really haven't heard them say he's had a bad day Today is an example Bauming tweeted... hall is in and throws a ball that legget easily intercepts. Brohm comes in, gets picked off but then completes a nice pass. Marve comes in goes 5 for 5 for 75 yards. I mean, the guys been doing it since florida mini camp.

or Joey Elliot for that matter, he's no longer in BC.
