  1. Scary thing is that before Willy was permanently knocked out for the season he suffered two other serious injuries that took him out of games. His ratio of complete games vs. incomplete for this year wasn't even 2:1. Bombers are now walking in Sask's shoes, living and dying with a QB that can not be properly protected or kept healthy enough to contribute to a winning record. It's imperative that Willy's future replacement be present and productive at next years TC. Edm, BC and Mtl all found replacement QB's in first year players this season, next year the Bombers have to do exactly the same. No time left for a 2-3 year development period, the demand is now, now, now.
  2. You lost iso?
  3. Why should we compare ourselves to the Americans and why should we care about how they go about their business? Irrelevant.
  4. I don't know which way this is going to go but nobody should be surprised if O'Shea is fired including Mike himself.
  5. That's all she wrote.
  6. "Nut job", is the keyword, this was not a well planned, organized attack and no one knows what his real intent was, you're just guessing that he wanted to get Harper. Unlikely that he knew where Harper was at the time and unlikely that he would ever have been able to survive long enough to find him in a huge building if he didn't have a precise plan. I think his real aim was to commit suicide and gain publicity in doing so, but then I'm just guessing. I think it's great that people can't remember this guys name.
  7. While we're on the subject of PM security, fear and paranoia... Annual cost for Harper’s RCMP security detail has doubled to $19.6 million since he became PM in 2006. Annual operating budget for PM Protection Detail2005-06: $8.8 million 2006-07: $9.1 million 2007-08: $9.8 million 2008-09: $14.4 million 2009-10: $11.8 million 2010-11: $14.8 million 2011-12: $12.2 million 2012-13: $15.8 million 2013-14: $19.6 million – Source: RCMP Full story http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadian-politics/annual-cost-for-harpers-rcmp-security-detail-has-doubled-to-19-6-million-since-he-became-pm-in-2006
  8. Ha, that there is Suitor-talk, an obvious attempt not to credit the Bomber defence, so...it must be because he was bothered by that injury/non-injury. That was pure soccer theatrics at its finest. Couldnt believe he cried on the field then jumped up and practically jogged to the sidelines whilst signalling that was 3 times.. Soooo the other two were just as (not) bad then or..? And maas throwing his temper tantrum was awesome.. His players shoulda let him go to discuss this issue with westerman and anderson lol. Just a coach standing by his players. He's animated & fiery. The guy will be a HC in the CFL someday. Looking forward to the ultimate theatrical show down, Maas vs. Creehan. Should be bombastic.
  9. Westerman plays through to the whistle with motivation, hard to stop a guy that never gives up on a play.
  10. Forgive me but I like to post this every chance that I can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg5ZZW6MCu0
  11. Frickin Eskimokes puts some crazy magnats in da ball!
  12. I have a good friend working on the parliament hill reno's and this project as well. He told me that Harper nixed the restoration projects when he moved to 24 Sussex because he didn't want his family living in an ongoing construction zone. Can't blame him even though I've lived in a constant construction zone for nearly a decade with little damage to family life other then my wife not speaking to me for most of the last five. I agree with Maureen McTeer who suggested the house be torn down and re-built from scratch with a modern design and building techniques as the $14 mill. saved on the reno's. could still build a pretty nice shack. 24 Sussex is not an iconic building like the White House and most Canadians would be hard pressed to identify it from a photo. The building's historical significance is fairly insignificant, so what's the loss?
  13. I like to wear my belt much the same way but higher up at chest level.
  14. For a second there I thought you meant The Band... which would be awesome... although I don't believe they are still together... Back in 2000 I believe the Guess Who's instruments were pre-recorded while Burt did sing live. Something about the cold affecting guitars? The cold weather would absolutely affect the tuning... legit reason in my books This would make it worth the price of the ticket... but I'm not holding my breath.... The Band would be great but they'd have a few problems performing a live show. 3 dead and counting but if the music is canned anyway, why the hell not?
  15. I'd be surprised if Benevides, Steinhauer or Thorpe would be interested in a coordinator's position at this point, especially with a club in worse shape then the ones they left. There is probably an average of two HC openings most years in the CFL and these guys are at the top of the waiting list.
  16. Don't contact any team during the season. The season is over in a week. If it's a playoff team wait until they're eliminated or win the Grey Cup. Play by the rules & at least have integrity. Like I said, how would we like it if the roles were reversed? As fans we would be upset. What goes around, comes around. Of course there is something to be said for ethical behaviour. Email messages or about working conditions would move towards a substantive evidence of ethical behaviour. On a scale Miller talking to a guy can not be stretched into symptoms of a circus as is Pentons rhetorical question. Or tampering. All these execs, talk about compensation and other working conditions among themselves. It is not unreasonable in their small community to talk about future plans. A casual talking to a guy during the season leads to the second coming of a notable performer at Assistant Coach, that's unacceptable? Writing to the candidate, would be. Any kind of contact.... any kind no matter if the conversation is casual or not is tampering. That's the way it is. You can't speak to any player, coach or manager about coming to work for another team during the season for coaches or if a player is under contract. Sorry, if I want to be at least proud of the ethics & character of the Bombers. I have little else to be proud of on the field or in the standings. Note: New motto for next season. "We may not be good but at least we're ethical."
  17. Either that or both O'Shea and Walters know and approve of Miller's initiative. It's unlikely that he's doing it behind their backs.
  18. Those that can, do. Those that can't, get fired.
  19. You did your best. It's the same with music, no matter how much good music you expose your kids to they will still prefer to listen to garbage that you absolutely hate.
  20. You really want to leave this job to O'Shea? His past player and coach recruitment record demonstrates that he has virtually no connections or ability to do this job well. He is the antithesis of a schmoozer.
  21. I believe it is quite common. How many times have we seen free-agents signed to a contract 2 secs. after midnight on the day free-agency opens.
  22. Good on Miller, at least he is taking action. I'd guess recruiting and hiring coaches is another one of those skill sets O'Shea lacks.
  23. Not sure who this guy is exactly but the fact that he is associated with Rebel Media demonstrates that they have lost both their minds and their credibility......if they ever had any to begin with that is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZscWceyY9Fg
  24. MOS will have to see film on Davis first. There is a completely sane reason. If Toronto beats BC and Edmonton beats Montreal next weekend, it will come down to week 20, the final week. They will play to win at that point...although I cannot see them winning. You have spoken heresy and will be pilloried here. Fantasy is so much more fun than reality. The fantasy is that we are still not in it, technically.. We are factually still alive. Odds are more remote then me landing a date with kate upton but fact remains we still have a chance. This does mean we will not be auditioning until end of this week depending on how the games play out. If O'Shea promotes this idea even once in the next week I will lose my frickin' mind.
  25. This is probably one of the highlights of Harper's reforms but unfortunately for him it encouraged the most experienced members of his caucus to clean out their desks prior to the election. The Anders pension just burns...even the Reformers couldn't stand that guy.
