  1. Here is Lawless's report. "Saskatchewan Roughriders' GM Brendan Taman is set to recommend the firing of head coach Corey Chamblin. A senior Riders' executive says Taman will meet with team president Craig Reynolds as early as Sunday to discuss the future direction of the team. Taman, says the source, would like to take advantage of an upcoming bye week to put an interim head coach in place for the remainder of the season. The Argos play in Toronto next weekend then have a bye. If given the go-ahead, Taman would fire Chamblin after the Argos' game and then use the bye week to install a new coach. It's unknown if Reynolds will allow Taman to put a plan in place to move forward or insist on the status quo. If Taman is told not to fire Chamblin, the senior Riders' executive believes the Riders' board would then wait and enact a major housecleaning at the end of the season, which would include the firing of Taman. The most obvious candidates for an interim head coaching position are former B.C. Lions' head coach Mike Benevides and former Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Paul LaPolice."
  2. Wow, according to Lawless's report house cleaning is on it's way in Sask.
  3. Bede isn't a Canadian citizen - he's from France. Still, considered a Natl. no? I believe the old rules more or less let anyone from another country who didn't play football in the US be a non-import (ie an Aussie rugby player looked at as a punter would have been a NI on the old rules) New rules state " Nationals are defined as a person who was a Canadian citizen when he signed his first contract, classified as a non-import before May 31, 2014, or has lived in Canada for five years before turning 18" So under the old rules I believe bede would have been a NI, with the new rules he's an international Really strange, because Bede played college at Laval. Yet both Waggoner and Westerman qualify as Natls. through loopholes.

  5. Lirim is being upstaged by other young Cdn. kickers this year, Bede in Mtl and Pfeffer in T.O. have looked excellent.
  6. That's a much better feed, doesn't have the laaaaaag and the stop-motion stuuuuutering that I usually endure. Thanks.
  7. Here is a stream. http://www.gofeed2all.eu/watch/360141/1/watch-calgary-stampeders-vs-montreal-alouettes.html
  8. Found this reading the Rider Forum CC Halftime meltdown hearing from players - CC comes in at the half - calls the team a bunch of cowards and losers - loses it on our rookie QB like these vets have never seen He has officially lost the locker room fire him now Chamblin also unloaded on Demski which was caught on Natl. TV for going off-side while ignoring Bagg who comitted the same sin. Believe the end is nye for Chamblin, the RR BOD won't look kindly on a coach that can't retain his professionalism or dignity in the face of mounting losses.
  9. Yah, pretty much indicates that it was pre-taped mid-week before the Bombers game on Thurs. Whole frickin' pre-game was focused on the Riders problems.
  10. That's what everyone is hoping to see, a LB with a nose for the ball and Solly is the gold standard. I don't care which LB position he plays as long as he's making plays on the ball carrier. Bass is beginning to meet that objective.
  11. I would love to see us bring Bobby Dyce home again. Agreed, time for Pat Tracey to roll off to retirement. At times he's been adequate but that's about all.
  12. Pretty sure it's bad karma to be picking at the carcass of a not quite yet dead animal.. But that's how you get the tastiest bits....no?
  13. So, after this fine season is over there should be some flotsam and jetsam from the sinking of the good ship Riders floating about for the taking. Anyone think Jacques Chapdelaine would be a good replacement at OC if the Bombers decide to part ways with Marcel? Any other coaches on the Riders staff worth considering?
  14. Esks. are 4-1 but look who they've beat. -Ott. twice. -Bombers without Willy -Sask. They ain't so hot.
  15. He looked pretty good until the analystist showed up.
  16. Bowman plays like **** in the first Q of almost every game dropping plenty of passes, by games end he's a hero due to the sheer volume thrown his way. In a balanced throwing attack with 5 or 6 opportunities his numbers wouldn't look so hot.
  17. Nope, but I think in time Smith will be a pretty decent QB.
  18. If Nichols can accept a secondary role I think he could have a sustained career as a back up like Tate, but probably not in Edm.
  19. Nichols is playing for his job, if he doesn't increase the lead by the end of the 3rd, it's Franklin time.
  20. Right, and the Riders are 0-6. Well I don't know how to change it now so it'll be our secret. Riders won't be 0-6 until they lose this game. Eh? The Riders are 0-5 coming into the game against Edmonton. Yer just being picky, I'm only an hour away from being right.
  21. I think I'll cheer for the Riders in the second half as well for strategic reasons. 1. A win isn't going to change their season. 2. It brings the Esks. back down a notch closer to the Bombers.
  22. Right, and the Riders are 0-6. Well I don't know how to change it now so it'll be our secret. Riders won't be 0-6 until they lose this game. Eh?
