Flying High into Montréal: Bombers vs. Als
Fatty Liver replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The potential for this dual backfield offence isn't something they discovered just yesterday, much to my chagrin it's been laying dormant since the beginning of last season, suppressed by the ratio. -
No way O'Shea gets rid of any of his team leaders to upgrade talent unless they're failing, it's just not in his DNA. Nichols, Harris and Dressler are a few of the untouchables, but I suspect many others that are playing well are protected by his loyalty and commitment. He's going to the dance with the girls that got him there, not some flashy new tart chasing greenbacks.

Not really, Jake handed the ball off to Knox who took it the distance. -

Santos-Knox wouldn't be missed. -

Could be, I've noticed their 3 man rush crew is Westerman, Corney and Jeffcoat so Corney is helping balance the ratio as well. -

Who is Hurl rotating with? He seems to be out there for every play either at MLB or WIL. It certainly hasn't been the case of Hurl "or" Thomas, they're on the field together plenty of times. -
I can't see Walters having spare change for any F.A. at this time of the year, he will need every penny to retain the good players he already owns.
-
I don't think he does, Neufeld is getting a bit of playing time coming in as the 6th OL and on short yardage.

They might shuffle Jones off to the corner despite the position he's slotted to play, Leggett may see some time at Safety if the Als. achieve too much success through the air. -

That could be a game changer, it will be interesting to see how they shift the D-backs around to cover his loss. I've been expecting this for awhile and surprised he's stayed healthy this long with his injury history. -
If you want to get drunk and build beer snakes go for it, you can do that on your front lawn and you won't have to put up with a lousy football team.
-
I think Jennings started to get his game back in the second half, he'll be fine moving forward and their next two games are against Eastern opponents so they should chalk up two more wins before facing the Stamps.

Laid out horizontally to the ground in concise rows befitting the dead.

TSN showed Medlock punting with the ball sideways across his foot at a slight inclined angle, amazing that he can control the direction of it at all.
-
This game is breaking him in, looks like he's going to be a very good player once he gets the hang of it.
-
The main difference is the chances of it working out are very slim, so it has a much higher risk of failure than a standard play.
-
Agreed, implement an attack based on YAC so teams have to deal with an offence that they're not built to defend against or well practiced at. Bonus that it fits in well with LaPo's short passing attack.

3 stars plus HH broken esks streak edition

He did put on some muscle in the off-season and has become much more grittier. -
How long before Reilly rolls out the fake Cockney accent?
-
I disagree, opening drive of the game is the time to show that they can shove it down their throats the old fashioned way, no trickery needed.
-
Not sure what he was thinking positioning himself behind Stafford in the end-zone, generally the throw doesn't come from that direction.
-
Exactly, they have Briggs and a few other clones to cover LB. They can keep Lankford in to cover kickoffs and backup the receivers, occasionally putting him in for Thorpe to stretch the field. When Lankford is running posts the DB's are in high back pedal mode and it opens up a lot of space underneath.

What, no spam?

If you call Hail Mary's good throws, I suppose so. He relies a lot on his receivers to come up with the ball on those 50/50 shots.
