Portage & Main
Actually no, I haven't followed the debate but I did work in the city's planning dept. for two years and spent some time working in the Grain Exchange Building so I'm well aware of the issues surrounding that intersection.

When does the bowman experiment end? (Bowman traded to Montreal)
Okay....but how do you suppose this will be interpreted in the context of a discussion about Bowman? "Hanging on to an aging wr who clearly can't catch making $140k a season is a waste and we'll likely make a signing during NFL camp cuts."

Portage & Main
All of the great things you describe are available or can be expanded upon less than a hop away in the Exchange District on either side of Main St. in quieter pockets. P+M is not a pleasant place to dwell due to the wind shear created by high buildings lining both corridors, this is real and notorious. Can you imagine sitting down to a meal on a patio next to this intersection? I really can't.....traffic noise, traffic volume, traffic pollution and dirt whipped into your food and drink by a whirlwind would make this a once in a life-time event for me. You've been totally sucked in by the "stakeholders" renderings and bullshit if you think this could be morphed into a pleasant environment. Crossing the street is one thing, hanging out is just dumb.

Until they determine that Thomkins, Washington, Lankford, Petermann or Simonese can't fill the gap I'd prefer they hold off on bringing in more bodies.

I think this deal was lined up before Mtl. traded Williams.

I would have preferred they never signed him in the first place but this seems like a reasonable resolution. Rely on the scouts to fill the position and bring on the competition.

I agree, until Demski or Harris go down there isn't a dire need for Flanders.

Portage & Main
On average 77,000 vehicles cross through that intersection every weekday, no other intersection in Wpg. is even close to handling that volume of traffic. To compare Wpg. to other cities designed on a rectangular grid is illogical, one look at a map will confirm it's a whole different ball of wax. Both Portage and Main are funnels and because of the nearby intersection of two major rivers, parallel diversions for either do not exist. Keep 'er closed.

I doubt they recall ever having him, that trade was made in 2013.

Where did you find that game? CFL Insider doesn't have it yet and my Yare TV subscription is not functioning properly.

He seemed to be consulting with Dressler in that conversation, he may not have even seen the infraction but took Dressler on his word.

I don't see him on their suspended list. I guess he's still holding out, hope that's working out for him.

Anyone know the name of the Argo D-lineman that was holding out prior to T.C. along with Wilder?

Battle of Underperformers: Blue vs Double Blue in Doubleheader
Agreed Streveler's career progression has stalled out and he's desperate to reignite it.

I think Loffler is much more effective when he plays deep and keeps everything in front of him, when he has to turn and run with a receiver he is lost. He just seems to work most effectively in straight lines.
