Cotton BABY!
That says everything you need to know about how teams feel about the Riders without Durant "we can beat them with our backups" Cornish is just that real good mix of speed and power. He's big and strong and has good enough balance he can run through tackles but he's also fast enough to break some big runs if he gets a hole. If you can draw up the kind of running back every team wants to have that's the guy there. The fact he is Canadian is such a bonus as well.. He's 30 years old though. Only has a year or so left before he falls off a cliff and is out of the league. Signs of him already falling apart.

Durant on cusp of return to Riders lineup!
Whenever I hear "cusp" I think of Tim Burke.

Grigsby Now A Tiger Cat
Grigsby should have signed with the Riders if he wanted that. I thought chlorine made your colon white and shiny? But if you have some of it surgically removed, it becomes a semi-colon. Either way...I hope Grigsby (and Kent Austin) develop a bad case of the runs.

Grigsby Now A Tiger Cat
It's clear Grigsby had a deal in place with Ticats before he was released.

assistant to the travelling secretary? was totally my first thought... Is George Costanza working for the Bombers now? If so, well done Wade Miller!

Bombers add Cam Marshall and Deantre Harlan to PR
His scouting report compares him to Shonn Greene. Not good. Greene is the definition of a plodder.

I didn't notice...who was the holder after Brohm got injured?

O-line blocking schemes
I'm curious to hear what JBR has to say on this. Not saying Wylie is a problem but wondering if we have the right personnel to fit the scheme. I'd also like to get a better understanding of the two schemes.

O-line blocking schemes
Reading up on Bob Wylie I discovered he specializes in power blocking schemes. Zone blocking is another popular blocking scheme. I don't know enough about these two schemes or about the strengths/weaknesses of the o-linemen on our team to do an analysis. My question is do the Bombers have the right personnel to be running a power blocking scheme instead of zone blocking? If not, that could be a reason why Wylie hasn't made a big difference this season.

Nic Moore, again?
I blame Joe Mack.

Robert Marve
Maybe I'm wrong about this, but all that link says is that Marve was playing with a torn ACL at the time. Nothing about it healing afterward or him having surgery afterward to fix it or being removed etc.I'd like some clarification on this, because I have a real hard time believing that he's playing without an ACL in his left knee. I'm no medical doctor but the headline says he has no ACL. If you read the article it says he tore it for the 3rd time and it was never repaired. Hence no ACL. The article was written in 2012. I know. Your point?

Marve doesn't have an ACL anymore in the one knee. That'd make it impossible to reinjure. I don't even understand how this is possible but nonetheless it still scares me. Read this: http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=bigten&id=61338&src=desktop

Remember these things?
Once this season and once next year.

Robert Marve
Why do you have injury in quotation marks? Because he's likely healthy to play against BC but O'Shea might use the hand injury (even though it's healed) as an excuse to give Marve a start.
-
Robert Marve
O'Shea won't outright bench Willy if he's healthy but I could see O'Shea giving Willy another week of rest because of the hand "injury".

Cotton BABY!
Part of Cotton's scouting report from ESPN: Cotton is a vastly undersized all-purpose back and return specialist that will likely find most of his production come in the return game at the next level. Is an extremely quick back that slips through tiny creases and has very good foot quickness in the hole. Shows good vision...

Gary Etcheverry prediction came true!
On the CJOB post game show Bob Irving said to O'Shea that the Bombers had a chance to win it but the D couldn't make a stop at the end. O'Shea replied "Yep we've seen that before". That tells me Etch is gone.

Props to the O-line
I really like this O-line...gives us solid Canadian depth too: LT - Daniels (Import) LG - Greaves (Canadian) C - Morley (Canadian) RG - Goossen (Canadian) RT - Tyler (Import) Backups - Neufeld & Hinse (both can play all 3 line spots) PR - Howard, Jones, Knapp Gone - January I sit behind the Bombers bench and I really liked Daniels leadership qualities...very vocal and positive with his teammates.

Props to the O-line
Yes, Tyler looked solid.
