  1. Hope all are doing well my fave Winnipeg Jet and Bomber fan crew. Things like this bring out the true colours in people. Some great, some not so great. We are all anxious, concerned for own inner circles. However we can’t bail on the safety and well being of others. When this all stabilizes and we come out the other side and have a moment to reflect, the people who bailed on others and only thought of themselves and their inner circles will have some explaining to do. oh and I really miss sports.
  2. 'Yea but the economy'. Oh wait.
  3. Yea I hear you. Sorry to hear of your situation. Just trying to keep a positive vibe going so soon arrives for all of us especially those who are in very difficult situations right now.
  4. Sorry to hear. This must be tough and very unsettling for her. All will be good soon.
  5. Wish I was there. Always interesting to view and take part in a rousing debate
  6. And I desperately want the Oilers to lose tonight. Bonus them missing the playoffs by a point because the billboards around Edmonton are assuming they’re in already. xo
  7. Well it wasn’t ugly.
  8. So far this game has a Coyotes get an ugly one after we dominate feeling.
  9. Helle is in the zone so far tonight. Wow, his positioning is outstanding. If he can play like this down the stretch run, we got a chance. This game could be easily tied or worse. Eakins is obviously playing at another gear playing his old team.
  10. What is Matty P on? He is jacked up! Like the energy.
  11. I’ve been thinking/asking the same thing. If we break it into thirds looking at the teams we play the most we could lose imo and still have a chance is 4 games. So I’m with you
  12. I’d definitely take AP if we could lower his salary and length of contract expectations. I’d guess he’s got a good 3 to 5 quality years left in him but I’m sure some team will give him exactly what he wants that we can’t afford.
  13. I’d say any games left against ‘weaker’ teams are pretty much must wins at this point in the season if we have any chance squeaking into post season play. From there anything can happen.
  14. Kid needs to add about 10 to 15 pounds of muscle then watch out.
  15. Lazy penalty.
  16. Seriously when did Mike Smith become a good goaltender? Sheesh.
  17. Never a truer line. Don't see the complexity in arguing that until the teams hit the field.
  18. We're battling out there, just not getting the results we expect.
  19. Didn't we beat St. Louis twice in row this year? Anything can happen in the playoffs versus regular season. See Tampa Bay Lightening circa 2019. On paper you are absolutely right, this season looks like a wash but I haven't given up hope for this year yet, very very close but not yet.
  20. Yes and no. Key point in the season. Either make a run now, like right now, gaining momentum heading into the playoffs or lose the majority of your next 10 games then start calling up your AHL players.
  21. Realistically we need to win 75 80 percent of our remaining games?
  22. Agree 100%, but what's in place to ensure a draftee can't do this other than the team holding his rights? Just to talk this thru, for example, if the player is a first round draft pick that garners attention from other teams where he'd rather play, the team that originally drafted him will be eventually pressured to get something out of this the longer he sits on the sidelines refusing to report/sign. I guess it's who blinks first unless there are more specific things in place to deter a draftee from doing this other than not playing, not collecting a paycheque and maybe receiving bad press. Eventually you would think the player, especially the higher draft picks, would win out but I could be missing something. Missing something like the league has stipulated that no other team can inquire about his services until said player reports and signs to that team?
  23. I lifted this this question from the Green Zone (I know, gross). I thought it would be interesting to read what people think here i.e., the rationalization behind one's answer. Personally I say yes, because if not, it would obviously (at least to me) widen the gap between the 'have's' and the 'have nots'. Unless of course you're drafted by the Riders or the Maple Leafs, then my answer changes.
  24. Oilers buyers not sellers. Wow only took 15 years. Yes I'm still miffed at how many high draft picks they received for losing.
  25. Andreas Athanasiou is headed to the Oilers. #TradeCentre
