  1. Cummings never did quite live up to his advance billing. He mostly looked average.
  2. He has the raw talent and drive but he would be a project.
  3. So long as we have real good competition at training camp, whoever wins out be good. From the looks of things, we ought to have a darned good receiving corps.
  4. I have real mixed feelings about Hall's return. He is a veteran defensive coach who has been tot the Grey Cup, and ought to know his stuff, but some of his defensive adjustments (or lack thereof) caused me to scratch my head. But it is not much of a surprise and it confirms the suspicions of many that O'Shea is utterly loyal- even to a fault. Maybe a better pass rush which was noticeably absent for much of last season will make things better for Hall's defence. Now all we need is a good MLB to emerge from the pack. It might be Smith.
  5. But nostalgia ain't what it used to be....
  6. I wonder what the Riders would give up to get Neufeld back?
  7. I've lurked on Riderfans in the past, but really, who gives a flying frack? That's their business, whether they stand or fall as a fan forum. My experience says that if the nuts take over the forum, the sane people leave, and eventually the forum implodes and shuts down. That said, let us show a decent level of respect to visiting CFL fans, so long as they reciprocate. That doesn't mean we will stop insulting them in good measure. Full disclosure: I lived in Regina for 5 years, and met a lot of good people who were only distantly related to each other, and only a few had vestigial tails and more than 5 digits on each hand or foot.
  8. It was a perfect storm- Calvillo got old, Trestman left and the ownership's involvement changed. Who knows- maybe Popp will do better in Toronto.
  9. And those grapes were sour, anyways. That they were too high to reach is irrelevant.
  10. Bur really, would you prefer to live in Pile O' Bones or Ottawa? No contest, particularly with having to look and listen to Chris Jones every day.
  11. Unless that quarterback was Doug Flutie, the answer would be no. Snort.
  12. If that came to pass, the funniest thing would be that tiny car pulling up at midfield and all those players piling out one after the other.
  13. Personally, I would pick "reverse cowgirl" as a highly rated position.
  14. I'm good with Lefevour. What I recall most about him was the lack of discipline where his first instinct was to run rather than give his receivers an extra second or two to get open in their patterns. And yes, for QB sneaks.
  15. Being as how we are talking about Hurl, why would it be unrealistic to think he would be on a reduced contract? Two prominent Bombers took pay cuts, so why not a linebacker who has about the same value as Briggs or Waggoner? I'm sure he did not volunteer to take the hit, but his option was to leave, and he may not get another equal or better offer plus having to uproot. He just might like it here.
  16. PS: It was hardly a frenzy maybe more like a brief flurry.
  17. Getting back to an old theme, if/when Hurl and Neufeld are released, that changes the cap picture.
  18. I just hope Knox is the answer at MLB, or we're going to be in much the same position as last year on defence.
  19. Now you're just making fun of Taynted.....
  20. Two reasons: one-they will pay money and two-couldn't get on anywhere else.
  21. That, and the mandatory prefrontal lobotomy so they wouldn't stand out.
  22. Thanks once again for the work to create the synopsis.
