  1. Re: going with McGuire as #2 QB. There is no way to know how well he will perform under live fire, but at this point last year, had anyone said that Streveler would play a prominent a role in the Grep Cup game, they would have been laughed at. At some point, you put yer money on the table and call.
  2. It is a highlight reel, but he does seem to do man-to-man coverage well and looks to be a real ballhawk.
  3. Tighty-whities?
  4. Although I am still expecting a couple of impact signings, I could live with this lineup.
  5. We ought to be interested in Tasker, and too bad we missed out on Levels.
  6. Duron Carter is irretrievably a lost cause. He is no longer a fuzzy-cheeked youngster and has blown every opportunity he has been given. But, yes, if any team could help him salvage his career, it would be the current Bombers.
  7. Sacrificing a chicken at dawn would be more appropriate. And not a KFC one, either.
  8. With all the re-signed key players, the Bombers should be considered the class of the league already.
  9. Or words with more than two syllables.
  10. Are you talking about our starting center?
  11. There's a prize for the team that uses up the most vowels in their signings.
  12. And no one had a bad thing to say about his play the whole season.
  13. And those who worship at the feet of Donald Trump and/or have an ABI.
  14. Twitter is completely unreliable- it can be easily manipulated by a few "hired guns" who can spam the site to produce almost any result. There will inevitably be a lot who will watch the first couple of games and then lose interest quickly, so yea, lets see the ratings in March. Not that I give a rat's butt about the league.
  15. That would be a Wynn for us.
  16. He has evolved his game, and its the survival of the fleetest.
  17. Maybe he will blossom there, enough to stem the tide of pessimism before he has to leaf. Maybe enough for the team to take root before he has to petal his wares elsewhere.
  18. From what I've seen of Brescasin, he might be better than Wolitarsky. Brittleness may be a concern, though.
  19. That's what you want us to believe....
  20. Some families are really, really enmeshed.
  21. History says that he will be there a year, maybe two. The NFL chews up and spits out quarterbacks like sunflower seeds.
  22. To the endangered species list?
  23. I've already copyrighted that.
  24. Nichols' contract length is irrelevant as he can be released any time up to Labour Day, and neither he nor MBT are the long-term answer for the Double Blue. Its gonna be interesting to see who emerges as the starter and I expect that there will be a lot of tag-teaming behind center this year.
  25. Its a slow off-season. Have mercy.
