  1. Exclusive: Boris Johnson to lead bold revival of British Leyland Satire Here's TopGear.com's roving correspondent, Cory Spondent, with his mostly incorrect exclusives from the world of motoring Boris Johnson is set to unveil a bold new plan that’ll return fabled automotive giant British Leyland back to the forefront of UK car manufacturing. In his first new role since stepping down as Prime Minister, the outgoing leader of the Conservative party has pledged to restore the much-loved national institution to its former glory, fresh from reviving the UK economy and delivering on every single one of his manifesto promises. “Much like our successful delivery of 40 new hospitals, it’s time to turn our attention to that other great beast lurking in the shadows; a slumbering lion that we shall awaken to usher in a new golden age of British quality and reliability, hallmarks for which the mighty British Leyland was famous for." “We shall build it back into the runaway triumph it once was, much like our railway network and our successful rollout of high-speed trains. And it is my track record in government, where we put record funding into schools and teachers’ pay, that’ll see us successfully bring back hugely respected and iron-clad British Leyland models like the Morris Marina, the Princess and the unburstable, unshakable brilliance of the Austin Allegro." “I will now gently be entering the motoring atmosphere and splashing down conspicuously as the de facto leader of the British car industry. Make no mistake, reinventing the Maestro for a new generation will be tough, but much like that car’s uniquely characterful window seals, we shall break through the very fabric of the industry. If Dilyn and Larry can put behind them their occasional difficulties, then so can the Rover 800 and its relationship with build quality." “This definitely isn’t it, folks,” Johnson added. When pushed on what it actually is, a source close to Johnson noted "probably some electricity", but added: “They're still making the K-Series engine, right? We’ll start with that. The boss is on holiday so it’s the best we’ve got for now.”
  2. Saskatchewan Roughriders release defensive lineman Garrett Marino By 3Down Staff - September 6, 2022 Photo courtesy: CFL The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released controversial defensive lineman Garrett Marino. The six-foot-two, 290-pound defensive tackle was suspended for four games earlier this year after an illegal hit on Ottawa Redblacks’ quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, uttering racial language at Masoli, and an illegal hit on offensive lineman Dino Boyd. It was the longest suspension the CFL has ever imposed for in-game behaviour during a single contest. “This behaviour has no place in our league,” said league commissioner Randy Ambrosie at the time. “This discipline is intended to send a strong message that it will not be tolerated.”
  3. WOW
  4. Roughly equal to their IQ scores.
  5. Please do. Bombers fans will mock you relentlessly (but in good humour) and if you sit next to Bomber fans, your eyes won't water the way they would when you sit downwind of a Rider fan at Mosaic.
  6. As far as I can see, that is the plan.
  7. And drool a lot.
  8. But he fits so well into the team culture. FIFO Rider style?
  9. Wouldn't he be a real Hassell?
  10. But there's a lot of these idiots out there.
  11. Not likely the Russian troops would want to be returned- they would simply be pressed back into service. They've probably had enough already.
  12. From reports today. there are some 15,000 Russian troops who are defacto cut off from relief and supplies in the south Donetsk region. The Russian troop morale is abysmally low to start with and if/when these start to surrender, the Ukrainian military will have the sizeable problem of what to do with them.
  13. New Video Shows Election Deniers Accessed Elections Office In Georgia New footage shows Cathy Latham, a GOP county official who is under investigation for posing as a fake elector for Donald Trump, accompanying two operatives working for a Trump lawyer and entering Coffee County’s elections office on Jan. 7, 2021 — the same day a voting machine was breached there. The existence of the video was reported by CNN and The Washington Post. The video shows the Trump campaign’s efforts to unearth evidence of voter fraud as it sought to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election. The two operatives seen in the video, Scott Hall and Paul Maggio, have admitted they accessed a voting machine in the county at the request of Sidney Powell, one of Trump’s lawyers, according to CNN. Latham has previously testified she made only a brief appearance at the elections office after teaching a full day at school, according to The Post. But court documents cited by CNN revealed Latham was involved in planning for a visit by a team led by Maggio. Latham is the subject of two probes: The Fulton County district attorney’s investigation into Trump’s efforts to overturn the election result in Georgia, and a Justice Department one looking at the fake electors scheme, in which 16 Republicans signed certificates declaring Trump the rightful winner of the 2020 election. Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney, is looking to hear from Powell too, according to The Associated Press. In her petition seeking Powell’s testimony, Willis said the Trump lawyer was involved in “exploring options to influence the results of the November 2020 elections in Georgia and elsewhere.” Maggio wrote to Powell on Jan. 7, 2021, to let her know they were headed to Coffee County “to collect what we can from the Election/Voting machines and systems,” according to the AP. Maggio followed up with Powell the next day to say “everything went smoothly” with their data collection, which reportedly included photos of an election management system server, the AP said. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has also launched a probe into this case. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/video-election-deniers-georgia_n_63173eb7e4b0eac9f4d034df
  14. Trump Tries To Overthrow The Government In Response To Special Master Ruling Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Now that the FBI and DOJ have been caught in a massive and determinative Election Rigging Scam, are they going to change the results of the 2020 Presidential Election? They should!!!” Election rigging scam? Trump thinks that the search of Mar-a-Lago because he stole classified documents is a plot to rig the 2024 election. Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, and that loss bothers him every single day of his life. It follows him around during his every waking moment. Trump’s life and legacy are defined by the fact that he lost on the biggest election stage in the entire world. The former president knows deep down inside that he can’t win with the voters, so he keeps looking for ways to be restored to power without the consent of a majority of the governed. As President Biden honors workers on this Labor Day and makes the holiday about others, Donald Trump is still trying to overthrow the government because inhabiting the Oval Office might be his only ticket. https://www.politicususa.com/2022/09/05/trump-labor-day-overthrow-government.html

  18. Liz Truss Picked To Replace Boris Johnson As U.K. Prime Minister U.K. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss on Monday won the Tory Leadership contest to succeed Boris Johnson as next Conservative Party leader and take over as the country’s new prime minister. Truss, who was the frontrunner in the race, defeated former Chancellor Rishi Sunak, securing 81,326 votes, as opposed to Sunak’s 60,399. Only Conservative Party members were allowed to vote as part of this election, with voting closing Friday afternoon. In her victory speech, Truss said it was an “honor” to be elected prime minister and pledged to “govern as a conservative.” “We will deliver a great victory for the Conservative Party in 2024,” she said. Truss also praised outgoing Prime Minister Johnson. “Boris, you got Brexit done, you crushed Jeremy Corbyn, you rolled out the vaccine and you stood up to Vladimir Putin. You’re admired from Kyiv to Carlisle,” Truss said. While Sunak secured the support of the biggest amount of members of Parliament going into the race, Truss managed to gain momentum, emerging as the favorite and securing endorsements from prominent conservatives, including Johnson allies. Truss is set to be appointed by Queen Elizabeth on Tuesday at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, following Johnson’s resignation earlier in the day. The new leader will then fly to London where she will give her first speech as prime minister and announce her new Cabinet. Sir Keir Starmer, leader of the opposition Labour Party, congratulated Truss on her win but said it’s only his party that can deliver what the country needs at the moment. “After 12 years of the Tories all we have to show for it is low wages, high prices, and a Tory cost of living crisis,” Starmer wrote on Twitter. 19. The feature with Lemon and Rose is interesting but wearing NBA jerseys? Boooo!
  20. He does not have an easy job. The league has teams staggering from one financial crisis to another, only one national TV network bidding for the broadcast rights trying to appease all the owners must be like herding cats.
  21. Walters and O'Shea could set up a honey trap and take lotsa pictures.
  22. The odd thing is that Steinauer was a darned good d-back- played with intelligence and grit, but despite looking like a good coach last year, his team is the absolute pits this year. I expected better from him, but the lack of a decent QB has hobbled the TiCats all season.
