  1. That would probably be as good as McPizza of yore.
  2. That might work.
  3. When I die, I want someone to dress me up in a Superman (TM) suit and throw me out of a plane over Winnipeg.
  4. Exume was a good special teams guy and hit a ton. I thought he might be a good safety backup but obviously I was in the minority.
  5. I would be really tempted to sign Orimolade over Jeffcoat who is too fragile, IMO.
  6. Exume is apparently where he wants to be (home) but Herdman-Reed has looked good on occasion.
  7. America has become (officially) a nation where books, speaking about being gay and internet porn are banned but guns are cheap, plentiful and can be worn anywhere by anyone. Beyond bizarre.
  8. Its all part of the master plan to devolve into the Qanon party.
  9. And Canada's Response: Canada trained more than 35,000 Ukrainian soldiers Canadarusso ukrainian war
  10. (keep those thoughts and prayers coming- Russia will need them)
  11. Book-banning and now ethnic cleansing. Sound familiar?
  12. Otterly shocking.
  13. Trump, in all his wisdom and glory cheered her departure.
  14. Walters was quoted in the Freep today as saying that he's pretty much done spending, and that he tried to re-sign Sayles but was out-bid. Depending on how things go at training camp, I can see a receiver being traded.
  15. Flags will be flown at half-mast right across Saskatchewan today followed by fist-fights as GMs duke it out on Dan Clark's front lawn for the rights to sign him.
  16. In the epicenter of the earthquake in Turkey, they found a surviving city where not a single building collapsed. That's because the mayor didn't allow illegal construction.
  17. There has always been dissenting opinions about damned near anything, but the difference these days is that the loonies can find mutual reinforcement from each other vis electronic media and media and political agitators who profit from this. This instills a sort of mob mentality and results in escalating rhetoric and threats as well as actual violence.
  18. I do not accept that Dinwiddie is a better coach than O'Shea, but truth be told, the Argos made better half-time adjustments than the Bombers, and that, plus a couple of bad plays, decided the game. Any given Sunday and all that.
  19. 'Evidence of a crime': Feds file sealed motion compelling Donald Trump's lawyer to testify Prosecutors for Special Counsel Jack Smith, investigating Donald Trump‘s unlawful retention and refusal to return hundreds of documents with classified markings, are trying to compel one of the ex-president’s attorneys, Evan Corcoran, to testify before a grand jury again. They are asking a judge to allow them to invoke the crime-fraud exception, which voids attorney-client privilege. The move, in the form of a seal motion, suggests they may have evidence of a crime. Reported in the media today that Pence has lawyered up and will fight the subpoena. Predictably, the Democrats heaped scorn on him for this. Adam Schiff Hammers Mike Pence Trying To Dodge Testifying About 1/6 Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) called out former vice president Mike Pence for trying to dodge the DOJ and avoid testifying about the 1/6 attack. Schiff tweeted: Adam Schiff @RepAdamSchiff Pence is now claiming the Speech and Debate Clause — meant for senators and members — allows him to avoid testifying about Jan 6. Just shows the lengths Pence will go to avoid doing his duty and telling the truth. What a way to launch a presidential campaign. What Rep. Schiff was referring to is a report in The New York Times that Pence is going to try to argue that his role as president of the Senate gives him speech or debate clause protection: Mr. Pence is expected to argue that the vice president’s role as the president of the Senate means that he is protected from legal scrutiny of his official duties by the Constitution’s “speech or debate” clause, intended to protect the separation of powers. Such an approach would be novel and a departure from the more traditional argument that a vice president’s interactions with a president would be subject to executive privilege.
  20. Realistically, the Riders are going to struggle this season. Too many changes, too much internal dissent, plus VERY questionable head coach and general manager. I would be surprised, no- shocked, if they win 6 games and even moreso if the coaching and GM survive past Labour Day.
