He's having a bad year. Reasonably people believed the D was repaired in the off season personnel wise with signings. There was optimism. Things haven't gone well, and there's no easier target than a struggling QB in Winnipeg. It is shocking though because Willy did, no matter with a couple people will say, get a lot more slack than Nichols is getting. I can't say I understand it but maybe it's because Willy was thought to have such a high ceiling. So here we are. 5-5 in a season with hopes and our team is slowly falling apart. We're heading into a LD with the Riders seemingly getting it together at the same pace as we're falling apart. I suspect that a loss next week will be very damaging to our morale. A loss back to back to the Riders? Honestly I'd probably put the remote down and tune out, and I suspect a lot of people would too until next year if changes are made. But make no mistake. This is on MOS and Walters. They picked this receiving core that can't get open and make catches. They allowed our O line to become porous. They hired the coordinators. Time is ticking as far as I'm concerned on these guys.

Who has the say in both coordinators? Who keeps trotting out the wrong players at the wrong time? who tied a 410 yard field goal in the playoffs on 3rd down on our last drive? MOS is a bad coach and an intellectual light weight, to be very polite.

I agree BLM is elite. But if you think BLM being elite makes MOS a good coach you're really doing some impressive mental gymnastics to make excuses for him. He's probably the 2nd or maybe worst coach in the CFL. He's a nice guy with a **** eating grin that lets his players do whatever they want but he can't put this team into the elite category. Hell, he will struggle to coach this team to the playoffs it seems.

MOS once again out coached in the 2nd half and it was incredibly pronounced.

At this point I'm on board with giving Streveler a shot and seeing what he can do, and seeing if this is a QB or a OC/head coach problem. I know where I'd put my money but I won't die on a hill for any qb

these are the kinds of threads that should be bumped, not Nichols hate. Or at least not Nichols hate alone. He's been bad and I'm willing to see what Streveler would do at this point. I see no reason why MOS should be back here next season if we predictably go 1 and done in the post season. If we even make it there. Labour day and BB are a must split. Lose both and all bets are off: I'd want MOS gone.

Yeah, Nichols with another bad effort. 2018 hasn't been kind to him. But let's not pretend he's our #1 problem.

Rider fans are the absolute scum of the sports world. Go dump manure on someone's lawn jagoff.

I may disagree with the harping on Nichols but there's little doubt this fan base needs a championship. Pretty badly.

This all goes back to Drew Willy and the inexplicable love many here had for him. Nichols is the guy who made him expendable and it appears the bad blood is going nowhere. People hate Nichols because in a lot of cases he's a mirror for people to look into and see how bad their football opinions can get.

It's ******* incredible watching our fan base turn on Nichols after the kind of rope given to Willy. It's disgusting and also sad to see how bad our fans are. The loss is just one game... but to see my own city and fans turn into rider fans like this is genuinely jarring.

The hall experiment mercifully ends this year one way or another. It's just too bad we couldn't see the obvious coming and try another coordinator with new ideas, better ideas. But like most fools Michael O'Shea believes he's the smartest guy in the room

Honestly who didn't see this coming? The stadium was built in a terrible location for professional sports. If there's been any lesson to be learned over the last 20 years of stadium and Arena building is location is actually really important. I really like the new stadium and every time I've gone has been a pretty fun experience. But I'm a die-hard and I don't mind taking a bus and making the extra effort especially because I only go to a few games being an out-of-towner now. But I really don't get why some people have to pile on people making the obvious point that location is bad. Yes to us Die Hard location isn't a big deal. But the game and the league cant survive on die-hards only

I wish I would have screen captured the TSN image they had last night after the win. The jist of it was the Bombers win % was something like .255 or so with all QB's not named Matt Nichols in the last x number of years, and, .655 or something with him starting. It's pretty incredible how this teams regular season success has turned on a dime the moment he became starter.

Cool. Bad opinion but it's yours to offer. A quality starting qb in this league will never be less valuable than a star rb. Ever.

In a terrible scenario where you have to choose either Harris or Nichols being spared a season ending injury, and only one, only a total fool would spare Harris.

wbbfan and the usual crew taking their shots at Nichols, nothing new here. this utter lack of respect for our teams franchise player remains baffling. I can only guess its based on Nichols proving the Pro Willy crowd to have been delusional so they can't wait to tear this guy down.

The Bombers were in real peril of being the worst team in the West. As it turns out BC blew the game and we dominated Toronto. The comment was about the standings and nothing more. I think Nichols is the 2nd or 3rd best qb in the league and I get highly annoyed when I see people trying to chase him out of town. We've wandered the desert long enough without a real qb.

Hopefully second half goes well and the usual suspects can stfu about Nichols for at least a couple of weeks
