  1. I can tell you game planning for him will be more a challenge than Nichols and this can play to Bombers advantage..going from you know what your getting..skill and limitations Nichols to Strevler..with some unknown at moment coupled with his run threat which DC's are gonna have to respect and change how they deploy their defense.
  2. He was trying to say it was a helmet to helmet head shot
  3. And you have to remember.. he was starting after basically 3 weeks exposure to the CFL game...he isnt green now and has seen the things that were new to him then. I bet against the esks we go back to lots of misdirection..he throws for just over 200 yards with 2 tds and a pick..and runs for close to 80 with a TD
  4. And only really played a yr and a half at SDSU as the starter there...tho he ripped things up in his senior season. Thing going for him tjo is he is really smart..absorbs things fast and perfecta them almost immediately so his learning curve on the fly will be pretty quick. My only fear/concern as I mentioned before and others said is Lapo neutering him..or making him play a pansy assed style that's just not Streveler. Let him loose..full package..take shots downfield and dink and dunk it...if he throws a pick here or there..so be it but to play to NOT throw a pick will be in the end a worse result
  5. And only reasons they reached out to Glenn is because if Nichols is out for an extended period we need a 3rd Qb with CFL experience for one.. and Glenn was here 2 years ago and already knows Lapo's offence, so he would come in hitting the ground running and if had to come in would pretty much know the playbook. Those are the main reasons..this is Strev's team now and we will roll on with him..but if was struggling in a game...or God forbid gets hurt too then nothing against McGuire but or season is effectively over...Glenn at least can run dink and dunk and has seen it all so wont be on a learning curve
  6. Are we not the second best team in sacks given up with like 11? And only because Edm has that unbelievable amount of 3?? That isn't a problem here..its conservative play calling a lot of the time and the mindset stuck in Nichols head about not turning ball over..and that only came up after his 3 pick g as me in Hamilton..before that he was taking his deep shots..
  7. He already failed miserably against Calgary.. and really.. the wins they got other than the Hamilton game has been against garbage teams...and were gifted a free win in Montreal..
  8. Lol..I guess they miss me haha
  9. I am?? I havnt perused there in a while..got tired of the juvenile and uneducated posts there
  10. Of any of the available pivots out there he would be only one I would chase.
  11. Guy threw for 32 tds..4100 yards in senior season..and to this point in his career as a pro running gimmicky crap (other than the 4 he started in 2017) as as raw as you get raw rookie he has thrown for 1216 yards and 12 tds vs 8 int for a 61 percent passer...while rushing for 615 yards and 15 TD's...the guy knows how to score and has shown it He has a year and a half under his belt..in same system with basically the same teammates whom he knows..and who know him...with him now preparing as the guy pretty certain he can run things effectively..not as polished a passer as Nichols and may not at first go through all his progressions like Matt, but his added ability to gain yards with his legs will off set things as long as he is coached not to force things..he..and we will be fine and I bet you see our defense really notch it up now. To be honest speaking as a defensive guy that I was a guy like Strevler gives way more headaches and assignment responsibilities and checks in meetings than Nichols would..you know what you get with Matt..his tendencies.. and his skills/limitations..Strev is a big unknown and that run threat is gonna be huge in teams game plan..especially if he comes out slinging down field
  12. Doesnt Durant wanna play again?? Hahah...not that I'd want him but he could come and play for free and earn that 70k finally hahahahahaha
  13. But if Lapo is as smart as he is claimed to be..then he will add misdirection..lots of motion pre snap to see what the defense does..if they choose to just stay in the box to snuff Harris and Streveler draws.. then they will get roasted with bootlegs... Outside swing/screen passes to a speedster like Whitehead or Demski...and a lot of one on ones with Matthew's and Lawler (tho he might be out in think with lower body injury..Hello Bailey) and I like our odds there against the schmoe secondary and Hoover who blows. They react and spread the defense out to cover the motion..like they should then there will be the usual outlets to use.. We need to run tempo tho throughout game..or to start game...Strevler excels in this and it will eff up the Scmoe gameplan right outta the gate
  14. Difference this time tho is this team is very complete..and deep...and generally wins the ST and defensive aspect of the game. We play smart on offence..continue to win the turnover battle.. we will be playing in Nov
  15. And we have probably the 2nd best dlineman in that draft next to Kongbo sitting on our PR in Griffiths
  16. Yeah I think we got steals with Kongbo and Eli...not to mention Desjarlais stepping in as a 22 yr old and doing just fine. And that doesnt even mention Exume and Hallet who have been ST demons..
  17. Several times in the first quarter I noticed..also in 2nd half a few times
  18. Wonder if Roh is out for a bit..and if they are comfortable starting Kongbo and Willie with Panzer as the rotation...though I'd love to see me some McAllister back here..he impressed and is legit just wasnt gonna unseat The Jeff's or Roh outta camp..Kongbo..Willie and McAllister would be a wicked athletic combo..
  19. The fact that a team didnt even want to kick to our guys is a testament to how good our ST are
  20. If theres one thing teammates and opponents say about Nichols is his toughness and leadership..
  21. Hey if we can win with Nichols dink and dunking it..well we can with Strevler..and probably better seeing as the times Nichols takes the sack..or tosses it away Strevler is gonna run
  22. We go with Strev..with reps and games under his belt..he gets better. if he has to finish the season , at worst I see him going 4-5 and that puts us at 11-7..but once he gets adjusted can see him going 5-4 or better..
  23. They had me in a fog on valium I think to do mine..I dont even remember the setting it back..but was told the hospital staff was scared I was gonna throw em around as I was in severe discomfort and very agitated...apparently took 5 people to get it back..though mine was popped completely out
  24. Seen that too..but i doubt it was dislocated when he was coming off field..from experience he wouldn't have been walking off field like that all up right and not really wincing. He would have actually prob stayed on the field..at best on one knee hunched over..in utter discomfort..he may have had it separate a bit when Assbag Lemon landed on him..but it was in place already when he left field. That being said when mine popped out it was immobile with arm pinned to stomach for pretty much 6 weeks..then you see how it is and start rehab..could be a 10 week process if it was dislocated...partilal or slight separation.. all depends on the player but I'd say 2..3..weeks being realistic
  25. Strev's INT was a tip..on an I'll advised throw..and chalk that up as a learning experience..which he will as he is a smart guy...seen that a million times with inexperienced QB's..guarantee next time he puts his head down and barrels forward for positive yards.. Positive of it tho..and I have noticed this before with him that when he is scampering around and looking like he is gonna run..he is still scanning down field for an open guy..once our receivers realize this they will be coming back to the ball..Thats what makes me think of younf Dunnigan when I watch him..and he did that a lot in college...they are used to Nichols style and if he looks to run..he is all run..or hook sliding...and Lucky was there for the pass open as open can be..just a nice football play by BC..hey that happens in games from time to time as the other team is trying too
