Exactly...and the Fajardo shine will come off pretty quick now too..as he really only feasted on the T.O's the BC's and OTT...even though still lost to Ottawa CGY made him look like what he is..career backup...He has us 3 times..Cgy again..Edm twice..Montreal twice....Pretty certain he will struggle mightily in all those games...those are different defenses than what he has his wins against

all we may be looking for (if Nichols is gonna be out long term) is a guy solely to back-up Streveler...and one with at least some CFL experience in case he gets hurt...if he struggles...he struggles but we will ride it out with him and hopefully he learns from it and progresses...which I fully expect him to....it's NOT to replace him as the starter Another name that prob be worth looking at or considering is Alex Ross...knows the league...knows our playbook from being here last year..and is still relatively not too far removed from the game as he did have a stint in the AAF

Thing with Bridge...sure not a guy who's gonna go through all his progressions..but he can stretch a defense...and like Streveler can run a defense ragged...so if Strev got hurt we could still employ the same offensive scheme... I truly think Willy is beyond fixing in his head..

Yeah Rogers looked decent as depth..but no way was he unseating our Bryant and Hardrick...though was quickly picked up by Montreal and started for them...think he got hurt there then let go...

as bizzarre as that is to say yeah if we win probably 1 more game we are a lock to cross over at the worst..go 500 to finish out most likely host WSF at worst..having not lost a game to west this yr as well also helps our cause in any tie breaking scenario

Thing is with Strev..even if he is just adequate..and doesnt set world on fire if he is able to make all throws..shows he can sit in pocket to let things develop if need be as well as take off..progress through reads but has hiccups due to at times seeing things for the first ..and inexperience...but shows he has learned my limiting them next time...then that's the sign we need to see. You extent him with a healthy base and bonus and playtime incentives.. you cant not do that...cause by all accounts.. and watching some interviews with his college coach..he's an unreal leader and highly intelligent...

If they load the box..and we use misdirecting and motion..and they ignore it..they will get ripped a new one. Same with using roll outs and switching up launch points..if they all bite and collapse down u will have opportunity to hit the guys like Lucky..Harris..Demski underneath in open space until they adjust

Plus to this is if Strev performs..and unseats Nichols based if he truly still wants to be here he may restructure his deal since he not the defacto starter no more. Or..can be trade bait if he balks..that off season out based on his bonus is going to be an interesting time for sure with what happens

Coukd be the medicine Matthew's needs/craves to go downfield and make plays..9 times outta 10 if the ball is there he gonna win that battle..

I can tell you game planning for him will be more a challenge than Nichols and this can play to Bombers advantage..going from you know what your getting..skill and limitations Nichols to Strevler..with some unknown at moment coupled with his run threat which DC's are gonna have to respect and change how they deploy their defense.

And you have to remember.. he was starting after basically 3 weeks exposure to the CFL game...he isnt green now and has seen the things that were new to him then. I bet against the esks we go back to lots of misdirection..he throws for just over 200 yards with 2 tds and a pick..and runs for close to 80 with a TD

And only really played a yr and a half at SDSU as the starter there...tho he ripped things up in his senior season. Thing going for him tjo is he is really smart..absorbs things fast and perfecta them almost immediately so his learning curve on the fly will be pretty quick. My only fear/concern as I mentioned before and others said is Lapo neutering him..or making him play a pansy assed style that's just not Streveler. Let him loose..full package..take shots downfield and dink and dunk it...if he throws a pick here or there..so be it but to play to NOT throw a pick will be in the end a worse result
