Iceland has just been elected to take a seat on the UN Human Rights Council at the UN headquarters in New York. Last month the United States annoounced its withdrawal from the council. Iceland received 172 votes. A minimum of 97 votes are required. Iceland will have a seat until December 31st 2019. A total of 99.4 % of votes went to Iceland and France received one vote. Iceland will occupy the seat vacated by the US for the remainder of the current term which expires at the end of next year.

BC defence looked substandard last game. My concern is that their O ran for about 40 yards on two plays, to start the game. Then stupidly stopped running. Hope that doesn't become a problem. TSN has a good injury history for lulay. Hasn't played much last few years.

It might be thatl people in different positions in the US are doing whatever they can to fend off Trump's attacks on democracy. This might be an attempt to prevent Trump from making some sort of agreement with Putin. To me, it seems to just make it more likely that he'll reach some agreement. Disturbing that so many millions approve of this man. Wish I could go back to following admirable people, like the cave rescuers.

I hope the world system can stand up to the continuos assault from Trump, Putin and the Republican party. Never been anything like this that In my lifetime.

Calgary is a remarkable sports team. There is not much controversy around the team. They move smoothly through various changes, adapt, and continue to win. I guess they have not handled the backup qb that well, but who knows about that really. Arbuckle threw a nice TD pass. Other than injury to Bo, nothing much to stop them this season. We need to get some kind of cool hat for Nichols.

Rookie QB for three of the games. two Bombers D lineman in the top four of qb pressures. Bighill now doing what he's good at. and maybe rounding into full Bighill form. (I admit, I did not realize how much Bighill could do, till I saw the game the other day) Masoli probably played one of the best games of his career against the Bombers. He couldn't miss. It's too early to say the D is no good. Not saying Hall is the greatest D assistant in the CFL. I just don't believe O'Shea doesn't know what to do with this defence. It makes no sense.
