Nah, I think it's more of a "Hall showed enough to earn more playing time" kind of thing as opposed to comparing him to established guys. Reilly wasn't great to start the year either but seems to be be getting it lately. Here's hoping Hall or Goltz can progress the same.

I think he was just trying to show that in his first start Hall had the same kind of night that some established QB's had. I was actually thinking about this when Lulay threw that terrible interception near the end at the Calgary one yard line. Awful throw from a great QB. Maybe lets cut our boys some slack, no matter who's at QB.

Problem is no matter how pathetic it is, the season isn't over until Montreal wins another game. Until then we technically are still in control of our own destiny:P

I still don't think you can make the judgement of whether or not a guy can play after 1 start. Or 2 for that matter in Goltz's case.

I'm having a hard time understanding how anyone can say difinitively whether Hall can be a starter in the CFL after one game. We have 9 years or whatever of film on Buck and 3 years of Goltz on the team to get a sense of what they have to offer. Max Hall has been here 2 and a half months, and whether he is the answer or not, I just can't believe anyone can make that call already. For what it's worth, I found the game more enjoyable to watch because I at least felt like he had a chance to move the ball, especially in the first half. He made quick decisions and what seemed to be good reads. Give him a chance to get some timing down and then evaluate I say. I feel like if you looked at the stats of a lot of great quarterbacks in their first start, very few would have numbers that wow you. Whether the end game is Goltz, Hall, or samcanadian, I think casting the judgement of a guys developement after one game is more indicative of the level of impatience of the fan base than anything.

Big whoop. Call me a bad parent, but I have 13, 11, and 9 year old daughters, and am not bothered at all that they heard it. Should he be more careful? Of course. But I hope he doesn't feel THAT bad for it.

But to be fair Jade didn't just step out of bounds. He lowered his shoulder and drove forward, and I loved seeing it. I'll be cheering like crazy when he gets his first TD. So many people counted him out....

It was pretty awkward at the beginning. Definitely seems like they grabbed him right after a screaming fit. Seemed to calm down as it went on, but the beginning....yikes.

And really, TSN has done a fantastic job in covering the CFL and helping bring the league back to what it is today. I have no problem with them having a say in when games are scheduled.
