Some players will get cuts, some will get raises. EVERY offseason FOREVER on EVERY team. bringing our current starting OC up to 6th OL/lowest paid at his position in the league does not scream needless spending to me.

Yea...that's generally how it works when you play yourself into a better contract situation. He might be the worst starter on our team but he is middle of the pack in CFL centres and is not that bad. I would bet big money he is the cheapest Centre in the league even with his raise. 140k for a starting calibre NAT OL is pretty cheap. We will always have guys looking for raises coming off of low contracts. That's professional sports. Sorry but we have a ton of ways to free up money without having to be chintzy on the OL. That's the heart beat of our club.

140k is 6th OL money unless you go rookie at 6th. For a starting OC that is cheap.

yea...that sure sounds good to me too. Just goes to show the RB pricing will not be what these guys are hoping. I think it means that the Als paid 170k for a RB last year and felt they overpaid. Doubt they take a chance on going higher after being burned.

JJ was very disruptive. He just didn't play a lot.

I get what you are saying about A, Bennett but it was his first year and he is still very cheap. Rotate him in for another year and see if there is improvement. If not, cut bait.

He was one of the guys that quite frankly had to come in cheaper or be gone. I LOVE Jeffcoat but he only plays 9 games a year and is banged up for most of the rest. When he`s healthy he`s unreal but we just haven`t gotten value for money out of his contracts. There isn`t a Grey Cup champ or Super bowl champ that didn`t get some good fortune in order to win. I don`t think so. I think Hamilton was lucky to hang around so long. He is still dominant, he is increasingly banged up now and it is effecting his play. Hate to say it, but I agree. I have been feeling this way for a couple years now really.

Jeffcoat has never been healthy his entire career. He is dominant when he is. Is it time we get a more reliable, even if less talented, guy...maybe. The only thing pathetic is your post above.

Live is absolutely the best way to watch a football game, but if you want to see exactly what happened on a play, slo-mo TV replay is gonna give you the best look every time. There is absolutely no doubt that Dunigan was commenting based on exactly what we saw. If he was commenting on what he saw live from 60 yards away in the press box I doubt he would have any opinion at all as it would be impossible to tell from there. There is absolutely no way of knowing whether the kick would have been good or not because it only travelled 4 yards. I can say this though, that 100% of kicks that are blocked do not end up going through the uprights. Therefore I agree with your opinion that it is insane to blame a kicker that had his kick blocked. Maybe he had lined it up right, maybe he didn't....that became completely irrelevant the second it was blocked as even the best kick in the world has no chance at that point.
